That’s kind of funny with her being such a fashion icon that she will only wear the same type of dress every day- AND the same exact shoe every day for decades.. you’d think she’d want to spice up her wardrobe a bit considering everything.
It's about appearances. You never want to be caught in something that doesn't suit you or looks unflattering. So that particular shape of dress suits her and she spices up the patterns
I wish my boss would trust that we can do our jobs. It’s always, “I don’t want to micromanage you but I’m here to micromanage you!” Constantly asking if we read emails that he is tagged in that doesn’t even concern him. My morning routine does NOT include checking emails first thing. I get my dropship orders to the warehouse so they can get stuff started! Then I check them! MY ROUTINE works!!!
She has so many fantastic behaviors and characteristics. Truly, a genuine question: why always sunglasses? Have a dear friend who has an eye disease where light is quite painful and she wears almost “blackout” lenses. This woman is a lovely woman, (from what we are allowed to know)-so curious of the ‘always wearing sunglasses’. Thank you
I read somewhere that she is quite shy in real life and in order to feel in charge etc she wears the glasses so she can be a strong hands on person in professional settings
I think of her as a No Bullshit woman and boss. Sadly she’s not appreciated enough for her highly effective personal and work ethics. She sounds much easier to work with or for than many people I’ve dealt with in the workplace. Kudos to Anna!
Barbara wakes up to back pain because she not consistently stretching, crawls to her desk to punch in late even though desk is by bed, eventually she showers and does her work so she doesn't get fired.

Fashion is all about creativity, experimenting and reinventing, but Anna’s style hasn’t changed since 1992. 😅 I agree that if it’s not broken don’t fix it, and that you don’t have to change your personal style to fit in with trends- I just mean that it’s unusual for someone to stick to the same hairstyle, clothes, shoes AND sunglasses for decades 😂
I could work with her. I wake up at 4am and finish at 2 but I still work in the background because that's my armour in getting my clients and separate me from other pools. I'm not loved and popular to those who can't keep up with me. It's ok. I don't like long meetings. I'm pretty direct and decisive as well, so close to impulsive 😂but yeah 👍 I get things in control.
I love being able to delegate tasks as well but when shit hits the fan, I’m not ready to take all the hit for bad decisions so I’ll stay an individual contributor for now
You want a Hero, pick someone who has atleast done GREAT things in their life!! There is a book over 300+ pages called The Best of Elvis: Reflections of a Great Humanitarian by Cindy Hazen & Mike Freeman, it tells the story. He Donated the funds to have ST Jude built so every child with Cancer gets free treatment - even today, He bought LBJ's presidential yacht and auctioned to fund ST Jude, He donated the money to complete The Kennedy Art & Music Center in memory of JFK and declined to be the first to play as the founding member because he didn't want to seem political, donated the funds for the USS Arizona in Hawaii to remember all the lives lost on DDay, ended the Polio Epidemic inspiring 86% of America's youth, He funded 500,000 European Refugees food, housing & relocation via Red Cross Donations. He funded an entire trauma wing at Midsouth memorial so 4 states had a Trauma one care, donated 300+ Cadillac alone, 300+ brick homes, thousands of funerals, chemo treatments, millions of individual gifts of Jewelry, clothes, instruments, animals, make a wish were at every concert, hospital visits, spent every night outside his home in Memphis, Beverly Hills & LA signing autographs, in 1950's he even let fans that came from out of town CAMP ON HIS LAWN IN TENTS, He bought his childhood home in Tupelo and built a childs recreation center for poor kids, He signed autographs and gave fans tours at all the movie studios, concerts for Cancer fundraising, hurricane & tornado relief every year from 1956-77, donated to the same 55 MAJOR charities since the year he signed his 1956 contract even now every year 45yrs after his death. He gave away 86% of his ENTIRE lifetime GROSS earnings! Never wrote one donation off on his taxes despite being in the 95% income bracket. Giving was his tithing for Jesus. The fact that she doesn't micromanage, doesn't make her team wait for feedback and is a decisive decision maker are great qualities of a leader.

Hm that’s actually very interesting
Similar to food theories episode about grocery shopping and decision fatigue
this is also why Michael Kors isn't very dressed up on Project Runway even if he designs clothes for a living
They say Steve Jobs were the same clothes everyday too
Similar dresses and similar breakfast, one can get ready on autopilot while mentally preparing for the work day. Makes sense
She had me at doesn’t micromanage and let’s her team work and keeps meetings short!
👏👏👏😎
And responds quickly so ppl can do their job without waiting for her

A lot of people are sensitive to light, or self-conscious about eye contact. I assume it's a bit of both
Helps her keep her poker face too, which she feels is a key to being "her"....according to that very interesting documentary about her.
Only Ann Wintour’s can pass wearing sunglasses indoors, At night , And get away with it. 😂

If only more company leaders were like her.
