I never get her success. But always speculated that like many enduringly powerful people of this world, it is down to one thing: Network, and connections. Whether it is inherited or earned from scratch.

Oh darling, weren't you paying attention to the video ? Network and connections ? She slept her way to the top. So many boyfriends gave her positions in magazines. Well, that's also like many "powerful" ( please take note of the air quotes ), women ( also take note, men do not have this option ), she neither inherited nor earned it completely, she used her female body, closed her eyes and thought of Vogue. And here she is, Queen bitch of fashion. I get her success, its a tale as old as time, one things for sure, she's sure no " I don't need no man feminist".

Anna is a great success and the owners of the Magazines that she is in
charge of are not going to make her leave. That would be killing the goose
that lays the golden eggs. Plus the designers and the public in general love her.
All of this and given that she seems to love her job, it would make no sense
to imply that she should give up her position. She has done so much good
for so many people too. Anna should only leave Her job if she is ready to retire.

The comments here are just sad. Just because you all lack the social skills to network, doesn't mean Anna doesn't deserve her success. Networking & putting yourself in front of the right people is just what you have to do in any industry. Yes some people have early access to that world, but if you were in that position you'd utilize that too. She still had to be damn good at her craft to be considered for the positions she got. And ofc no woman is ever allowed to enjoy her success without some weak narrative about "sleeping her way to the top". Like come on, she pioneered something a male dominated world didn't allow almost anyone. She persevered through setback after setback. As the vid explains, it wasn't an easy ride to the top- it took most of her life to get that one job. She has dedicated her entire life to this craft and that's how she has been successful. Don't project.

I didn't know that fashion is a male-dominated world, the thing is also she has failures but her connections allow her to move on that easily, especially that example, when she made that magazine about home decor stopped publishing because of her choices, I mean you could say it's the company's fault for giving her full control but her control was the reason they got closed 😅.

@@Mitch-Alex Evidently she has her hair professionally shampooed, cut and styled at least once a day. Probably also before attending industry events or the theatre at night. Anna was an early client of The Philip Kingsley Trichological Clinic in London. She’s always been fanatical about maintaining the health of her hair and scalp. It takes a lot of money to look this glamorous and pulled together😎

I defo do not think her a style icon . She does not always get it in fashion. It is effortless not a uniform. She always looks the same. She got their by default and networking.
