Plus the designers and the public in general love her. All of this and given that she seems to love her job, it would make no sense to imply that she should give up her position. She has done so much good for so many people too. Anna should only leave Her job if she is ready to retire. I hope she stays, and I wish her well. Jeff❤

She had connections but what she has achieved in her life is definitely because of her own hard work. There are many people who can rise to the top by their connections and networks but without talent like anna, how many can reign that position for 30 years? she really showed women can achieve many things, career, motherhood and power. this video made me like her alot more, expelled? fired? naughty? very refreshing. I just wanna see her as a redhead or brunette, Anna, if you're watching. pretty please. Also that first Vogue cover? I remember seeing it as a teen, its still so cool, iconic and modern.
Some people have disdain for fashion not realizing it's an art form the shows are theatrical there is photography genuine talent and product knowledge is required.
Given such great background, having all the help you can get through your connections and sleeping with the right people, well, being successful is not that difficult, isn't it? I have never been crazy about fashion, nor ever understand what the fuss is all about, really, why is she so important? Otherwise, very good video.
The comments here are just sad. Just because you all lack the social skills to network, doesn't mean Anna doesn't deserve her success. Networking & putting yourself in front of the right people is just what you have to do in any industry. Yes some people have early access to that world, but if you were in that position you'd utilize that too. She still had to be damn good at her craft to be considered for the positions she got. And ofc no woman is ever allowed to enjoy her success without some weak narrative about "sleeping her way to the top". Like come on, she pioneered something a male dominated world didn't allow almost anyone. She persevered through setback after setback. As the vid explains, it wasn't an easy ride to the top- it took most of her life to get that one job. She has dedicated her entire life to this craft and that's how she has been successful. Don't project.
Evidently her own siblings were gobsmacked at the trajectory of Anna’s career. Remember, she was a high school dropout. She had a knack for the new, and for predicting trends at an early age.
I didn't know that fashion is a male-dominated world, the thing is also she has failures but her connections allow her to move on that easily, especially that example, when she made that magazine about home decor stopped publishing because of her choices, I mean you could say it's the company's fault for giving her full control but her control was the reason they got closed 😅.
I don’t care about fashion, but Anna will always be a hero of mine. She works and tries hard. She puts in effort. We need more people like her in the world.
