I just got my first real bass boat and going to take my kids out tomorrow morning at Walter's and go up river Are any bass still shallow in the wood and bushes and do you think there is a good evening top water bite right now? Thank you! Yeah, hard to beat the fun of some good top water. I can't wait to get out there. I'm from Haywood county in NC. I spent my years yanking some monsters out of a small lake with my old bass tracker there. My dad never wanted to go anywhere else. That was Heaven on earth to him. We lost him 2 years ago to a 4 wheeler accident. It's hard for me to fish that lake without him, I'm looking to get on all these East Tennessee lakes, maybe try out a tourney or two.
Please answer back when you can. I live in a subdivision with a man made bayou around it an we live at one of the ends of it. It has lots of alligator weed and tons of hydrilla grass both shallow and deep. Please Ott!!!!!! where are the bass. I had one great day last November in 2019 on Thanksgiving day if you can believe it I caught 6 huge bass one weighing well over 4 ponds. There is plenty of structure everywhere both shallow and deep for the large mouth to hide in our hot Louisiana heat. I can't find the bass anywhere help if you can. Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
