Incredible how Sharon had Lee's and Bob Daisley's parts re-recorded to deny Lee and Bob their pay. This is the guy who played Crazy Train as it was originally recorded and even he got the short end of the stick in the "Biz". It boggles the mind, the greed and malfeasance existent in the music industry.

As a big Ozzy fan I really really have a problem with how Ozzy and Sharon have treated former band members by not giving them the credit they deserve. Very sad, yet what a great attitude. He stayed loyal to Uriah Heep through countless lineups and better opportunities, with Ozzy’s 80’s band as one of them. The introduction to Over The Mountain will never fade. RIP “If I had the time... to relive my life... I don’t think I’d care... to change a thing.”
I'm so glad he got all his accolades and recognition this man truly deserves it, for a while there I thought they were going to try and erase him. I will never forget those killer drum intros on Little Dolls and Over The Mountain.
The Osbournes; as shabby and cheap as they come. Sharon and Ozzy should be totally ashamed of themselves. You know what; I bet Randy Rhoads would be a name on the long list of people they’ve screwed over if he hadn’t died.
Really depends. I don't think Zakk Wild or Jake E. Lee were screwed. Jake says they treated him fine but was kind of freaked out by how they treated others. All I know THUS far as I could very well be wrong as the story is still being told.
Most definitely ! I guess you didn't see the vid of Bob saying he heard from a reliable source that right after the plain crash , Sharon was trying to get Randy's contract changed to take all his money
highly unlikely as Randy had already told Ozzy he was out after that tour to move on to music he wanted to play. Randy wasn't sticking around, it's odd most people don't know that.
I'm pretty sure Ozzy and Sharon did screw over Randy, especially after he had given his notice to leave the band after completing the Diary of a Madman tour. Randy's mom Dolores became the executor of his estate when he died in 1982 and she had been after Ozzy and Sharon for all the royalties they never paid him. For years, they gave her the runaround, and sometime in the mid-80's I believe Mrs. Rhoads filed a lawsuit for the back royalties. Suspecting Mrs. Rhoads would have the fan's sympathy (since Randy was the one who gave Ozzy's career a second shot of life) and how bad it would look if she went public with the reason why she filed the lawsuit, lo and behold, Ozzy conveniently released Tribute in 1987, after he vowed he would never release any concert material with Randy. It wouldn't surprise me if Tribute was a quick and easy way to pay off Mrs. Rhoads and get her off their backs.
Just look at his family's music school and how shabby it looks. Look at the family ...the certainly don't look like they inherited any of Randy's music publishing royalties. Randy was going to leave Ozzy ...the reasons given to the public was that he wanted to spend more time in classical music and so fourth. Bet getting ripped off was part of the reason. I met the drummer for Ratt that replaced Bobby in 1990. He said the Rock music scene and world is filled with maniacs that destroy everything and everyone around them. He said unless you're rich to the point where you can afford all of the lawsuits everyone around you instigates, he said its not a good idea to pursue a career in the industry,
I hear you, I still think it's mostly Sharon since ozzy's brain is totally fried and he has no clue what is even going on especially in those matters of business... still it is quite sad
The Osbournes kept the millions they owed him Ozzy probably had to raise hell w/Sharron out of guilt to get those platinum records to him , Sharron & Ozzy are real POS for robbing him & Bob not to mention rerecording their parts on the 1st two albums.
When I was a teen in the '80's, I discovered Wizards and Demons by Uriah Heep when going through my stepdad's old vinyl. Frikkin blew my mind. Love that album!
Lee was half of... in my humble opinion, one of the greatest rhythm sections in rock music there's ever been. That being himself and Gary Thain. RIP Lee.
RIP Mr. Kerslake. Your drumming and laying down the foundation for the man (Randy Rhoads) who inspired me to become formally/classically trained in guitar is permanently etched into my brain evermore. On another note, I studied rather extensively on the "issues" with John Michael Osbourne (Ozzy) and Sharon; Sharon is a greedy fucking ghoul, and Ozzy either has no balls to stand up to Sharon, or he simply hides behind her. No wonder Jake E. Lee hates them both.
John Knouse Absolutely! But I think he was at the point that he just wanted recognition for his accomplishments. But I agree. Lee and Bob should have been paid ever since the albums came out.
December 10, 1976 Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum Jacksonville, Florida Uriah Heep opens for KISS. My friend catches one of Lee's drum sticks that he threw out into the audience after their set. Awesome night!
@@jamesb.9472 @james b Well, both Lee and Bob Daisley didn't get the royalties they were due. They took Ozzy and Sharon to court but lost because they don't have such deep pockets to spend on legal fees. It also happened with Jake E Lee, he doesn't get any writing credits or the financial rewards that go with that. He asked Sharon about it and her answer was, "Well, we have everything written and recorded, you either sign an NDA and agree that Ozzy wrote the Bark At The Moon album and make money on the tour, or leave and join a long queue of people who are trying to sue us." Ozzy's response was, "I got fucked over at your age and now I fuck you, it's just business." They didn't do the same thing to Randy Rhoads but when Randy told Ozzy he wanted to leave Ozzy punched him in the face. What lovely people they are!
@@jamesb.9472 the osbournes went so far as to rerecord blizzard and diary bass and drums with trujillo and whoever and then re-released it as 'remastered', all to screw lee and bob out of credit and royalties. dont put anything past sharon and ozzy.
@@jamesb.9472 Daisley and Kerslake played on the album Diary Of A Madman. The record came out crediting 2 different people instead. That's years of performance royalties unpaid. Go to Bob Daisley's website for details.

That song is near genius level.
GREAT SONG!
mrsleep0000 Amen!!!!
I'm glad he's happy. Those albums are awesome. He did an excellent job.
RIP Lee. A true metal giant with the humility of a true gentlemen.
One of the best rock drummers ever up there with Bonzo, Moon, Priceline etc RIP Lee your music lives on.

He said unless you're rich to the point where you can afford all of the lawsuits everyone around you instigates, he said its not a good idea to pursue a career in the industry,
Had to literally tell Ozzy and Sharon he was dying. Class acts those Osbournes
Yea, she's a real peach isn't she?
Yeah, Ozzy's could only part with the gold records when Kerslake told them he was dying...class acts...
I hear you, I still think it's mostly Sharon since ozzy's brain is totally fried and he has no clue what is even going on especially in those matters of business... still it is quite sad
those osbournes treated Bill Ward equally lame during the "the end" fiasco.
@@LadyFairChildVideo Sharon osbourne killed the only chance at a final tour with the original black sabbath lineup
Glad him and Ozzy made their peace before it was too late ❤️
The Osbournes kept the millions they owed him Ozzy probably had to raise hell w/Sharron out of guilt to get those platinum records to him , Sharron & Ozzy are real POS for robbing him & Bob not to mention rerecording their parts on the 1st two albums.
RIP Lee the legend, Blizzard, my favorite Ozzy Album
When I was a teen in the '80's, I discovered Wizards and Demons by Uriah Heep when going through my stepdad's old vinyl. Frikkin blew my mind. Love that album!
Lee just seems like a nice man. Sometimes I hate the music business what really goes on with bands is terrible when the money starts coming in.
They are truly evil bastards.
What a champ. RIP sir. IMO Lee's work with Uriah Heep is a far more worthwhile contribution to rock music than any of Ozzy's solo albums.
Awesome man! Amazing drummer! Lee will be sadly missed!
Uriah Heep was the first band I ever saw, I never passed on a chance to see them. RIP Lee.
Definitely one of my biggest influences. And still is. I still love to play his stuff particularly the Diary album. Thank you Mr Kerslake.
He should have never had to wait for the recognition.
John Knouse Absolutely! But I think he was at the point that he just wanted recognition for his accomplishments. But I agree. Lee and Bob should have been paid ever since the albums came out.
RIP. You will always be an inspiration to my drumming and my own war on cancer.
RIP sir.
You drummed the hell out of the only 2 ozzy albums I own.
Such a wonderful man he was!
God bless you Lee, one of world's greatest drummers.
much respest and admiration for the one the only mr. LEE FERSLAKE!!! See you on the other side my friend!!
Lee, Randy, David Byron, Gary Thain...what a glorious racket they are making in RnR heaven

Uriah Heep opens for KISS. My friend catches one of Lee's drum sticks that he threw out into the audience after their set. Awesome night!
I am from Brazil!
Lee i love you!!R.I.P.
Tears...
Thanks for your fine drumming, you brightened up my teen years. Glad you got your recognition eventually.
It's despicable, fake gold records in a cheap frame, instead of royalties..
@@jamesb.9472 > Actually .... it is all questionable !!!! :o((
@@jamesb.9472 the osbournes went so far as to rerecord blizzard and diary bass and drums with trujillo and whoever and then re-released it as 'remastered', all to screw lee and bob out of credit and royalties. dont put anything past sharon and ozzy.
@@jamesb.9472 Ozzy and Sharon had all his drum parts re-recorded in 2002, removing him, so they didn't have to pay him. COLD!
@@jamesb.9472 Daisley and Kerslake played on the album Diary Of A Madman. The record came out crediting 2 different people instead. That's years of performance royalties unpaid. Go to Bob Daisley's website for details.
Shame it took so long for you to get the recognition you deserve. These platinum albums should have been in your possession 40+ years ago. RIP Lee.
RIP Lee. May you rock the heavens now!
100% Class act...Wonderful life perspective. My friend Glen and I got to know Lee over the course of several tours that came through Seattle in the 70's. We were 2 teenage fans and he remembered us every time Uriah Heep came through and even sent us postcards from England. What rock star does that for their fans?? Lovely person and he certainly has taught me something here..
nice that he was honored for his work on diary of a mad man ! RIP
I remember always air-drumming his stuff at keggers...thanks, Lee. R.I.P.
