Do you have a contract with esab welding company....just asking cause you do a lot of advertising for them guys...I’m getting either the miller are the esab, but I’m still a little unsure on which way to go
I use miller at work. We have Maxtar series welders, Millermatic series (2 different versions) Dynasty series, trail blazer series. Big blue, pipe pro series, suit cases, sycrowave , multi process by miller and the list goes on. If they make it, we either have it or had it. I bought this esab rebel 205ic. Only done a few small projects at home. I do like the machine. It's well built. If I was to use it in the field, I need to upgrade all the leads. Far to short. We use minimum 25' foot to 50' leads at work to avoid moving a machine every few couple hrs. As is it is good in a home or shop. For field work, longer leads.
Have two question on you guys: 1.How are you guys TIG welding with 205 amps while the torch is rated just for 150 amps without cooling unit? Because if you need to go on TIG above 150 amps then you need a water cooled torch with a cooling unit. Right? It leads also to my second question: 2.Is there a solenoid cooling unit for water cooled TIG torches for this machine? On their website I can not find any. Please give a link if there is. Thank you for the good review. The first question stopped me buying a unit today.
Hey Eugen! The HW 17 torch is a 150 amp Tig Torch rated at a 50% duty cycle. It is capable of carrying over 200amps in an air cooled application at lower duty cycles. This torch paired with the Rebel EMP205 (running at 205 amps, 25% duty cycle, or 2.5 minutes of welding) allows us to operate without damage to the TIG Torch. You can use a larger amperage air cooled torch like an HW26 (220amps 50% Duty Cycle), but through initial customer feedback an HW 26 torch was too bulky. The Rebel EMP205 does not have a solenoid cooling unit offering. Most Water Cooled TIG welding systems run off of a separate water circulator without a solenoid. The coolant simply circulates through the welding torch continuously via a pump, reservoir and 110 volt outlet. You could use an aftermarket water circulator if you wish to use an HW 20, and add cost to the system. An HW20 is rated at 300 amps. Hopefully this answers your questions!! Feel free to call or email us if you have any other questions we are happy to help!
@@BakersGas Thanks for the reply. Yes was thinking to use the HW 26 torch. ESAB should make a designated cooling unit for the 205ic exactly how they made for 301i . If you weld a little bit in your garage a 25% duty cycle might be ok but not if you weld a gas tank or so. Depends on everyone's needs. But it is a pity not to have a designated cooling unit because ESAB has done a good job towards the TIG capabilities on this model. A downside that I can mention on this machine is the amperage for wire. Because for me the common setting is 450 WFS at 24.5 V for .035 solid wire then you need to be in the amperage range of roughly 230 amps to weld a 1/4 inch plate. Maybe you can get around that by welding a .045 wire metalcore or fluxcore with C25 gas or staight CO2 !? A review on wire for this machine and bend test would be not bad to do. Also ESAB should list on the website product info that the 205ic is able to weld with spoolgun aluminum. People read usually on the website and no word about spoolgun. Everybody thinks that it can not do but it actually does. In my case I decided that TIG AC/DC machines should stay separated from MIG/MAG machines if you go beyond 3/16 plate. A good temptation was the Everlast 275 MTS but even there it gets you the right amperage but it takes away at TIG some of the balance and the pulse. That's why the separation in my case here. Would have been nice to have a machine that does it all perfectly because who does not want to spare 7000 $ and above to buy separate machine. If you stay below 3/16 plate and not a lot of time welding then this machine is doing a good job I think. Thanks!

I am getting ready to purchase this week, and I'm in the fence on Yellow or Blue. Just the fact that the 2200 will run Aluminum Wire through a 15' Whip consistently without bird nesting is phenomenal, and I loved the Synergic functions. We will probably also be posting a video from the event too! Also show special if you are thinking about one might be a good time!
I just notice the Voltage doesn't dial in to where I want it. I can set it to 19.3 and it will jump to 19.2 or 19.5. Can't fine tune by .1 because it jumps on its own. 🙈
pretty good welder, but it is a noisy sucker, and i dont like the mig feeder setup, 1 drive wheel in 2022. For the cost of this welder they could add a gear and a second wheel, and the thin plastic guide hose is to thin, if the wire bends you have to knock the guide out with a hammer and a thin rod, i use a stick rod. i have used ESAB for 30 years, it is always the same, the welder is good, but then they add a stupid thing on it. but they are getting better :-) EXEPT the plasma cutters they have always been usless, and now they seem to just use a diffrent brand. but im not sure, i gave up on them several years ago, and just used a hypertherm.
I still cant understand how everlast included AC pulse in their multi machine but esab and miller did not. Esab and miller are better machines but damn.
I decided not to buy the 205ic because it didn't have AC pulse and 6010 performance would not be stellar with only 68V OCV. I've decided to buy an Everlast instead.

No volveria a comprar ESAB.
computerized crap takes all the fun out of welding.people being taught on this stuff will suck at welding and will be lost without that computer welder.

Va ser vidst dere bytter navn til esabbo? Rebello?
Have they added hf start yet?
Yes it is a high frequency start! Thanks for watching!
@@BakersGas i was fronius shopping today ,,, but i may just skip it and buy one of these instead,,, hf as well ,,, at last a true no compromise all rounder
Damn for $3,700 it better be good, it should also be able to make you breakfast, lunch and dinner! Lmao
This is beast, i know guy that own 15 k welder . If you work everyday, this kind of machines make money fast.
By the way that welder is EWM German made.
I WANT THIS
So I consider myself a beginner tig welder looking to buy my first..... how does all this adjustment help me rather than hurt me.....I understand the process, but the details are still in Spanish....where is my money best spent needing a entry level rig, without needing a better machine in a year
Primeweld 225 is a really solid ACDC tig machine, and it's under $900.
Did you buy it for start? How is going?? I'm in the same situation.
Can it weld titanium?
Even adamantium
Yes!
In the spec sheet it says it has AC Pulse, why isnt it in the settings?
no AC pulse, DC pulse only.
Just wondering if someone can tell me if this little machine really works and aluminium wire? ✌🏼
I believe it's ac tig only.
Whats the thickest wire you can use 0.35
Yes .035 is the largest diameter wire you can use.
Do i only get 400 off and that is it? Still ... want to buy this 205ic it is pricy to me...

How loud are these machines. The Miller 220 and this 205? I hear the fan in both videos but the sound sounds muted.
You can hear them but they are not terribly loud. Would not be a factor to not buy if that makes sense. September 21st we are going to have an event with ESAB and will be doing some live stories on Instagram I will try to capture the noice. Give us a follow and watch that day if you are interested. We will probably also be posting a video from the event too! Also show special if you are thinking about one might be a good time!
Does it pulse mig?
This machine does not.
Can you stick weld with AC, Miller can't?
Right no I don't think that is a feature on the 205 either.
Hello sir why do you prefer ac stick welding? Thanks
is that the fan on the esab?! sounds like a hair dyer
It is actually not too loud the mic really emphasizes the noise
I need one
Thank you
Does it do lift arc tig?
Yes it can do lift arc TIG.
Thanks

These things have gone up $770! Came out at $3K!
Hey! Yes there have been a few price increases. We do have some promos if you are ready and we can help get you the best deal we can.
25% price increase? Wow...
They’re like $3.8k now
@@lifeischeesy Now they're $4099. Looks like price gouging to me.
@@strayedarticle2838 yeah definitely price gouging when the Chinese children make that shit for Pennies on the hour.
I still cant understand how everlast included AC pulse in their multi machine but esab and miller did not. Esab and miller are better machines but damn.
No pulse? Haha i am glad i got the everlast!!!
I decided not to buy the 205ic because it didn't have AC pulse and 6010 performance would not be stellar with only 68V OCV. I've decided to buy an Everlast instead.
johnny missfire does it still work
Profile Protected is the Everlast still holding up
@@j.shorter4716 I've had my everlast for about 4 years and zero problems with it.
Who thinks this is to much machine for a beginner? I wanna get this and start learning how to weld stick, mig and tig and start building a few things. Any help would be great ,thanks!
Brap Brar I think this is your top choice. If you are gonna start, start well.
This is a great option for a beginner. The sMIG makes MIG welding set up simple. Another good machine to check out is the Miller 220 or 215. Let us know if you have any questions and we can help!
Thanks guys for your input ,I'm going with this machine, my wifes gonna be pissed but she'll get over it. Watched almost all your videos through this quarantine love all of them ,I'll be watching 😁
Hi, how is going after 3 years? I'm in the same situation.
No pulse? But the everlast does?! And it’s over 1000 dollars more? What the hell.
Esab probably has better quality control and reliability than Everlast. Some of these Esabs; however, are getting out of my price range. Been looking at the Everlast 250ex

In the video it don't look like it looks like it's all dying out the same Time
Will I have to put a lean on my house? 😂
NOPE! haha it is $400 off right now bringing it down to $2,599 and free shipping! Let us know if you have any questions.
Anyone here that will like to trade mi Lincoln electric hd 180 for a Esab welder 👨🏭
We will get you a really good deal! :)
Our school bought 12 ESAB machines. Half failed as soon as the warranty expired. Customer service was a joke. I will never buy an ESAB machine again.
Here for the giveaway
You have great content here but for the love of god, please unify the audio!! One second I can’t hear a thing so I turn it up, then the next frame You blow my ear drums. I suggest an Omni directional mic.
Thanks for the feedback! We are getting better its hard with the noisy welds and then going right into talking about the welds.
maybe experiment with a boom mic
If its gonna cost that much better off spending 1/3 for a good tig /stick machine and another $500.00 for a great mig. You that way get it all for less than half the price of this overpriced overhyped rig!
So lame... The non welder video editor fast forwards through the welding parts.
Sorry we were trying to keep it from being too long!
12:35 okay kinda seems like bullshit there

No volveria a comprar ESAB.
It’s 100% made in China.
😢
computerized crap takes all the fun out of welding.people being taught on this stuff will suck at welding and will be lost without that computer welder.
Understand your perspective but the technology saves time and makes setting up for the perfect weld faster than ever before!!! Give it a shot you might be surprised the sMIG is great for newer and experienced welders.

Audio is terrible guys
Please for the love of God stop speeding up the video while the machine is actually welding!! And kill that stupid music.
