    Amazing welder. I have the 235i with the welding cart and I absolutely love it. It is VERY easy to use, especially if you are new to welding. I made a few attachments for my skid steer with it. Just started trying to do some TIG welding with it..
    Solid welder, You're going to get many years out of it.

      Well my last ESAB was about 30 years old and ran flawlessly so I’m sure this one will as well! I’m excited to get into some tig welding

    I know this is an old video but that plug on the wall is both 120 and 240v. Beside two different legs of 120v, it has both a ground and neutral at the plug. You could've left the plug and made an short adapter plug. That plug on the welder is a standard 50 amp bonded plug and is pretty standard on most 240v welders. Nice welder by the way.

      Could have made a jumper plug for sure, but this is the only thing I run off that receptacle so figured it’s just better to swap it over. Thanks for watching!

    Looks nice Elliot! I want to have my neighbor teach me how to weld. I am interested to see how it works. I have never welded but my wife’s father used to weld the big Trojan buckets in Batavia.

    great welders...i bought one and never used it as my old esab is still going strong...i adjust the feed speed and current manually...and at the back of my garage for the last two years sits the unused high spec top model of esab mig welder. i hate using the new one before the old one is toast and greed let me to buy the new one...complicated stuff really i huess. enjoy your welder

      @@EverythingElliott thats exactly why i bought my new one and only tig welded aluminium once...its difficult to get used to preparing the tips for a start and a foot pedal is supposed to be the way forward,,,i never bought one of those yet. The small hand mig welder attachment i bought ok and this is nice and light but i never got around to testing it. They are great welders...my old one is the esab c250 and its just amazing....my new one is the 235ic and i only used it once for arc welding and once for TIG...very nice welder...enjoy.. i got an air fed esal 9000 series helmet and this changed things around as you are seldom inhailing the toxic gases from welding.

    7:36 either replace the receptical or replace the cord. I vote installing a 3 prong receptacle right next to the 4 prong and just having both

    Bro you bought a 650 dollar welding cart LOL, WHY? And my god, why is it so much money?
    I just made a cart for my hobart 210 mvp out of rusty pipes I had laying in my scrap metal pile. I mean yea it took a day but it was free minus 15 dollars for two casters I bought at cheena freight.
    I have two exploded inverter machines in my shop right now, so I bought a transformer... I am done with inverters for a while.
    Eventually I will probably buy a millermatic 252 or something similar.

      ESAB is one of my sponsors. They provide all of the equipment free of charge, and in return it’s used in videos. Basically product placement. Same as seeing a Pepsi, subway, or John Deere in a movie or tv show. For what I do this unit is plenty, I’m a basic farm welder, not sending anything to space that comes out of my shop.

    • @SM-gp2xh
      @SM-gp2xh 6 месяцев назад

      @@EverythingElliott Ah alright, I do like ESAB, and I can tell looking at the drive rolls on this machine that it is set up for commercial use. The smaller mig welders these days have cheaper drive roll setups. The hobart 210 mvp setup is much smaller than this, however it does work fine.
      Unfortunately ESAB is made in China now. Hobart is still USA made.
      Hey ESAB if you see this, move your factory to the USA, we like you.

    • @EverythingElliott
      @EverythingElliott  6 месяцев назад

      @@SM-gp2xh my previous ESAB welder was almost 30 years old before it was replaced by this. I'm hoping I have a similar experience with this unit. Also, fun fact of the day: the founder of ESAB invented welding!
