Your reviews are awesome, I have the AC DC 205 all of it we do a lot of aluminum handrails for condominiums and repairs it’s easy I can carry it out in the field it’s an awesome machine I have Welder with some of the Lincoln‘s and Miller’s bigger machines this one out welds them ,,
I’m having issues getting the shielding gas to the work piece. All the connections appear to be on. Regulator on. CFH set to 25. Ground is on. 75/25. 18V @ 200A. .030 E70S-6. TWECO 180 torch.
Hey, simple we do not recommend Everlast. We are a full service center and working on / repairing an Everlast is really going to be hard to find. If you purchase Miller/Lincoln/ESAB you are going to have warranty coverage and support.
Does the Rebel 205 have a forced arc feature which would temporarily increase the amperage when beginning a stick weld and avoid the rod from sticking?
Hi, i have a problem with my 205 is, i have to push the tig pedal multiple times before it starts , screen says "set amplitude " do you have any ideas ? Tks Dave..
I was told the same thing multiple times. I was told a customer fried 2 machines because he had longer leads. To me it didn't make sense. It doesn't make sense to take this into the field if you can only get as far as 12' feet from the unit. I have only been able to use this unit 10 times I'm the last 2 years. Restricted at 12' feet. Can't even go into a mixing tank or vessel. The leads won't reach. It's useless as far as field aspect. It's a good home use machine.
Just FYI it’s the same per Miller on the 220! They did not recommend extending the leads and told me if that was done and they knew it they would not cover it under warranty!
It always kills me how much more stuff you guys get in the US from ESAB… we don’t even get the pedal included in Europe (230€ extra purchase). Even less, the regulator et al. 😕
You can but they say you run into problems. The smart mig feature will start to struggle. Can possibly harm the unit. I tried ordering linger leads and I was told that the machine comes with the longest possible leads. That's kinda horrible in my opinion.
@@thisdj83 what about running the appropriate gauge extensions cords , how does this 205ic Rebel perform ? I have read reviews about the Fronius transsteel 2200 being able to run up to 330 feet on the appropriate size gauge extension cords & breaker .
It’s #17 tig torch…. Get a multi pack for a #17 torch and use the one that fits I run the stubby setup on mine there’s tons of those white spacers available go to the CK site and look at the pictures of them there called insulators or heatshields
I'm always confused about amps these machines can be set to and the size of breakers... I keep seeing that a 50amp breaker is recommended. Anyone want to splane this to me?
Will it handle .035" dual-shield (C25 or CO2)? I realize I would have to figure out my own settings, polarity, etc., since (I'm guessing) the instructions don't cover this process. Similarly, though you only mention E6010, 6011, 6013, and 7018 stick rods, surely I could use E7014, hardface rod, build-up rod, and so forth as long as I use smaller diameters appropriate to the amperage limit of this small machine, right?
Does anybody know what kind of problems the machine had since it been out I do alot of different work if I'm going to spend the money for this machine it better be worth it I don't need to get to a job and the machine brakes down on the job so if anyone can give me info I would appreciate it
The main problem is you can't run any leads longer than what comes with the machine. It will harm the units according to ESAB. Hard to call it a field machine if you can't go past 12' feet.
So I have this machine. and I've welded some thick cast intake runners to the a plenum that is was about a .125 wall. I was maxed out but it did it with no preheat running pure argon.
Just wandered to thank you for making theses videos! I would love to see one with this machine on 120v. As well as run on a generator on either voltage. Thanks again!
@@thisdj83 You can’t on the Miller either so not sure what the difference would be! That’s Per Miller! They do not recommend extending the leads and told me if a customer did and they know it they will not cover it under warranty when it caused any failures!

Here’s a real world update! ESAB now builds and sells junk! I wanted to love the 205ic I bought brand new from cyber weld (which btw is great to do business with also) but this welder has been nothing less than junk, just like may other units they make! I’m on esab group on fb and owners are constantly having issues! The even bigger kick in the throat is ESAB has TERRIBLE Customer Service and support! I think they have very few employees in that department and they all are rude ass holes! I’ll never buy another Esab product! It’s Miller, HTP, Lincoln, Fronius or even a dang Everlast for me!
I’ve see a new model here in Europe, Esab rogue emp 210 pro, it’s multifunction machine. I have been looking for feedback about the quality of their products. Your comment confirm me all the bad stuff I’ve read from them, seems the purchase of the company by a big investments found and the move of the production factories to cheaper countries has kill the brand. Definitely I will going to buy a Lincoln Speedtec.

Can I use my own scratch to start tig rig on this machine I’m still debating between this and the multimatic220
PLEASE mention how you won't be able to extend leads because the machine wont handle it.
Does the Rebel 205 have a forced arc feature which would temporarily increase the amperage when beginning a stick weld and avoid the rod from sticking?
Hot start feature? Yes it does

Dave..
Does the smart mig only run when your using shelding gas and solid wire or can you use the smart mig to run just flux core ?
Hi, late arrival.. Does the smartMIG function properly although the mig gun isn’t ESAB?!..
Isn't it TWECO, owned by ESAB?
Has anyone extended the leads on this machine? I was told by ESAB that 12' is the max for the inverter... cant find anything online about it.
I was told the same thing multiple times. I was told a customer fried 2 machines because he had longer leads. To me it didn't make sense. @@faronf2006 The electronics in the rebel is super sensitive. I wouldn't risk it.
Is high frequency start only for DC?
What’s the duty cycle on 115/230?
(Edit: Say maxed out on every process, and 80% of max…)
Where is this machine made ?
Hey, currently made in India. They design/engineer from Denton TX.
Max A/C amps 130? Pretty much limited to 1/8" material. Any increase when 230v supply?
Check the specifications sheet, 205 Amp on high voltage, I believe.
Plugged into 220v you can adjust A/C amps to 205. He was plugged into 120v in this video.
how do you find a white gasket spacer for a gas lense? I can't find one that works and I've bought a few.

is the fan always on? or does it shut off depends on demand?
I have the same. It will turn on when you start using it. It will then shut down when it is cooled enough.
@@RileyPorter does it stay on even if u r lightly using it.
@@SocalGates If you use it for more than 20 - 30 seconds it will kick on. Then stay on for a bit then shut down.
Yes it's fan on demand but soon comes on
Do you have to remove the mig gun to do Tig???
No mate
I'm always confused about amps these machines can be set to and the size of breakers... I keep seeing that a 50amp breaker is recommended. Anyone want to splane this to me?
This machine doesn't require as much amperage as others. 30 amps should be fine
Does that unit do pulse mig
No mate
How you do ac tig without the foot pedal??
AFAIK you cannot., He's using the foot pedal you just cannot see it.
By using 4t , I always teach tig without pedal as not essential
Does the sMIG work for dual shield?
No it doesn’t. Just mig
