Reflect it and punish hard with your medium button combo starter for mega damage. This is how the game is going to be played at a higher level when everybody get a better understanding of the game. I'd rage too if I had to vs. a good A. Gohan, he's near cancer to play against currently. Also vanishes are safe on block LUL, game needs tweaks for sure.
Chris only complained about Gohans DP, which is understandable, because its ridiculous, and there was some instance here where Nakkiel threw that thing out 3 times in a row(3 DPs in a row...) . He also said that Nakkiel did too much homing dashes for his taste, but that is also on Chris for not punishing all of them. He also said that Nakkiel does some legit reflects. Only bad thing Chris did was that at some point he lost one, rematched, won, and then left the lobby making nakkiel hold that :/ . It was funny lmao but still wrong.
As much as I like Chris G, it's kinda refreshing to see him catch some work in this game. It shows me that from a footsies standpoint I'm not doing everything completely wrong

I felt the same way but both of them do come from a guilty gear and mvc background, so they’re kinda used to what works and what doesn’t work. I come from a nrs only background so it felt weird getting used to it, but it’s starting to make more sense the more I play
Nakkiel is a pro BlazBlue and Guilty Gear player. Both games which were developed by the same creators ArcSystemWorks so they are quite similar in mechanics and play style.

James Summers yeah you don't just "hold back" lol you diagonally hold backwards "down+backwards" while you use the light, so when you press square twice when you combo it's two lights instead of the auto combo "light into medium"
You don't necessarily need to hold back to do 2 lights in a row. If you do medium first and then hit light twice, it will do 2 lights instead of the normal auto combo. People do this because you can't do anymore than 1 medium in an aerial string without double jumping first.
Kam Burgess the guilty gear pros use a lot of tech too. Seems some skills are cross functional. Check out the video that yoga uploaded earlier of their game play.
