Thank you Andrew For my entire life I've been a maxima user. Usually 3lb and 4lb in this scenario. However, last year I was given some DH Angling Pro match to trial and I've never looked back. On this video I was using 0.18 diameter. It all comes down to confidence. My hook length was 0.13 reflo power (a line I've also confidence in) to a size 14 Kamasan B611.
Hi Dave to stickfloat the wye is my goal this year very limited knowledge of stickfloat fishing self taught so if possible a day on the river with you guiding would be great could you let me know how I go about it thanks Dave all the best
Gary Drew Hi Gary. I’m sure we can get those goals achieved. If you visit www.anglingescapades.com and go through the contact page you can leave your number and I’ll give you a call to discuss.👍 Best Regards Dave
Hi David Thank you for your positive feedback. Sound was always the biggest issue as I learned about editing but if you look at the videos I’m launching now compared to the early ones, there’s a marked difference in sound quality and the last 2 have incorporated the use of a wireless mic as you suggest. It’s been a fascinating journey and one I’ve enjoyed learning. I don’t think I ever want it to be more than ‘me and a couple of GoPros’ but I think I’m starting to get rid of some of those rough edges. Anyway, thanks for your kind words and hopefully have another one out soon.👍
Great video, and great wangling mate... Subscribed... If I may make a constructive criticism though... I had to watch this on mute, because the music was so much louder than the audio from your camera mic... and I get on with my neighbours. :)
Hi Brian I appreciate the feed back and I did have major problems with background noise on this one. so there was more music than I'd have liked. The loudness is just me forgetting to lower the clip volume. I am aware of it and am trying to bring it together slowly. It's all a massive learning curve for me but it is getting better. Hopefully lots more action in coming months. 👍
Thanks Steve I got the sound/music wrong on this one. I had severe background interference and tried drowning it out in different ways. At least the fishing was good. 👍
Another clunker to finish with Dave. That chub was a beast. A thoroughly enjoyable masterclass sir. Thank you. Paul 👍😊
Thank you Paul. It was a great session. Caught more than I had time to film. 🎣
Another brilliant video Dave 👍👍
Cheers Billy. 👍

Last time i fished the wye it was that stretch in the oak trèe swim.
Thanks Mike. We were talking about that swim the other day. Should be coming Prime time for it now. 👍
Dave, could you explain the shotting pattern in just a little more detail please? Great work, cracking fishing too.
Another great video Dave, what’s your preferred choice of main line, hook length and hook for stick float fishing and quality fish/
Thank you Andrew
