Richard Feltoe, author of A Gentleman of Substance: The Life and Legacy of John Redpath (1796-1869), traces the life and wide-ranging legacy of John Redpath.
The talk took place on the 196th anniversary of the founding of the Atwater Library as the Montreal Mechanics’ Institution.
The St. Andrew’s Society of Montreal co-hosted the event.
John Redpath’s astoundingly wide-ranging legacy includes the Atwater Library and the St. Andrew’s Society of Montreal, organizations for which he provided instrumental early leadership.
