I watch any vid that these guys put out whether I’m interested in the club, shaft, topic or not. Every video is so educational and entertaining. Hope TXG stick around for a long long time!
I’ve tended to resign myself to the fact that my “3 wood “ just happens to be a 5 wood, BUT, necessity has forced me to work my tail off to be better with fairways and hybrids. Maybe the time has come to revisit this part of the bag to see if a weak 3 wood would give me enough carry. Thanks to you guys and a great teacher, my senior golf days are kind of fun...a blast actually!
I'll take a higher spin 3 wood everyday of the week. It's my least frequently used club and for me it's mostly a lay up off the tee option. If I'm hitting 3w I want to know it WONT go 300 yards - usually when I'm laying up short of a bunker. Plus off the deck it gives more height and spin into greens. So for me I'd be going ts2 all day
I love watching Mattie grow in his understanding. I watch a vid from a year ago and he has grasped so much info great job boys in sharing so much knowledge
Once I get about 5 years of golf under my belt I want to come to txg and get a fitting. Currently about a 20 handicap with 2.5 seasons of golf. Hoping to get down a few strokes next season
As always lads, concise and on point. Hope you boys are well, just returning to the fold after a nice holiday.... sadly back to UK lockdown and no golf. Like the look of these, but super happy to have picked up the cobra tour 3 wood with weight forward from Princes pro shop in Kent during a recent pro-am. The new modern 3 woods are seriously good eh! Good work chaps. 💪👏🏻👍
So interesting how people can fall into the TSi3 for "better players" and TSi2 "for the guy that NEEDS a bit more help and forgiveness". Tests like this is exactly why I watch other channels for entertainment and TXG when I want serious facts. In short, other channels are the girl you party with on the weekend and have fun and TXG is the one you take home to meet the parents.
@@ww-oo7ic lol if only a beautiful woman had said that I'd "made her day"....but hey an old man can dream👍 But I love the "famous Bandit" bit, thank you.....you have made my day as well!👍
As always great content, Titleist is killing it lately, T100/T200 irons are amazing, and the "TSi" series seems to be a even better than the TS series, and ofc always the best looking clubs. Would also love a round revisiting the tier 2 brands, like Wilson, Cleveland etc drivers etc.
Am looking to replace my Epic 5w. These two are definitely on my radar. So far thanks to local club demo days have tried Mavrik, Sim and Mizuno. Mizuno was a big surprise, it was long and incredibly consistent off the deck but in a lightweight shaft it sounded as though I was hitting the ball with an empty tin can - in the UK it is a lot cheaper than Mavrik or Sim. Cannot wait for Ping G425 test
Pretty spot on what I've seen other reviewers come to the conclusion of: TSi2 is an easy straight high hitting machine, TSi3 definitely launches lower and turns over more
I’m stuck between going for either the 4 or 5 wood in TSI. I’m currently playing a M6 3 wood but I’m just not getting along with it, I tend to be steep and use my woods almost always from the fairway. The 3 wood head is just a little to big combined with a shaft I’m not really caring for is opening up a spot in my bag. I had a chance to look at the TSI 2 5 wood today and really liked how it looked down by the ball, my question is since I won’t have a 3 wood I’m a little worried that 18• of loft is going to create a considerable gap between my driver. Would I be better off going with the 16.5 4 wood and getting it a 1/2inch short to make it play like a 5 wood? I don’t really like to have a closed face at address and can’t remember if the face will open or close depending on loft. Basically will the face open or close if I get the 5 wood at 18 and bring it down closer to 16.5? Or would it make more sense to just get the 4 wood at 16.5 and shorten it by 1/2 an inch. Trying to find a 5 wood shaft with a 4 wood loft without shutting the face. Also by shortening a shaft that will make it play slightly stiffer correct? Sorry for the long ass question, just want to make sure I get it right. I prefer a smaller club head behind the ball and thats another reason I’m hoping the 5 wood won’t shut if I crank the loft down. Thanks boys!
Ian i love the vast knowledge that you bring to the channel but I just can't relate to any of the club testing. I think its awesome the Matt can hit the ball the way he can but he's probably in the top 3% of golfers with his speed. Maybe thats your audience but I wish you could bring someone on that swing a driver around 95-100 like most of us. You could then start to show the difference between regular and stiff shafts and ball selection. Just a thought, I will still continue to watch and listen. Great day boys!
Thanks for yet another Masterclass Guys! I would love to see Matty playing the18th at Wentworth for real so that he could play those 3 wood shot out on the Course. From the fairway that Green looks tiny.
hey boys how about a comparison from the tsi2 and tsi3 3woods to the older titleist models such as the 915f and 915f2. wondering if it's worth an updgrade seeing as how they're still using a lot of the same technologies and designs.
Honestly such a bad business move by Callaway for not including adapters on their Mav woods. Titleist has been consistent with the surefit adapters for so many years and the player who gets fit into an expensive shaft is way less likely to switch manufacturers. Can already see titleist going this way with the graphite design shaft. They’re locking their customers in for the next lineup couple years from now and are lowering the price point for the shaft. I think it’s only a $200 upcharge now vs 380 if you buy the shaft from an authorized dealer. Will be interesting to see if they offer just the heads for sale in the future to entice customers to upgrade their gear more often.
They won't sell heads only as they are greedy and want your money. This is the reason you can't get OEM adaptors on the secondary market, they want you to spend top dollar on a new shaft through them rather then finding a pull for 1/3 the price. Still waiting to see some comparison vids as the Sim fairway is a monster.
TXG awesome review.? For Matty what kind I do to get more Swing Speed in the Off season? Is age my problem? I hit my Three Wood 230 -240! Will tuning my 3wood help ? Or switch to a Different COMPANY. Thanks so Much and Take Care you two still #1 on RUclips. Greg of Ohio
So when lofting down the tsi2 to bridge the flight and ball speed gap, couldn’t you have done the same thing by lofting the tsi3 up more towards that 16.5?
So, what is the forgiveness level compared to the big 3!? Mavrik, Sim, g410 !! Is the TSi 2 and 3 as forgiving or is Titleist still players clubs!? Thanks!!
TSi hybrids are out now....[ahem] I would love to see TXG do a review of those puppies. At this point you've kinda ruined ALL of the other equipment reviews for me...so let's see it boys! It is the Spiderman curse; "With great power comes great responsibility".

Quality as usual guys 👍. Gutted though as were due to lockdown in the UK again so no golf and the TSi testing I’d planned will have to wait a month 👎
Sensational! I don’t think Titleist can make a bad product
Nice job here with the fantastic explanation .
Bought a TS2 fairway in the summer and it's excellent. So forgiving and largely replaced my driver on my local course.

When I hear Ian describe the TSi2, it reminds me a lot of the M4 fairway. Just goes high and straight. I might be wrong about this though.

Great video, very educational.
What specs did you change to on the tsi2 to get the better launch and ball speed on the second round of tests?
Has all the fairway wood heads the same cc, I mean no matter the loft?

Matt's swing is incredible, doesnt even take it back to parallel, makes it look effortless, & generates amazing power amd distance.
Damn I love this channel
Looking for a new driver. Should I wait till January
Can you better explain the setting options for each club. I went with a Mav 4 wood last year to launch higher as I hit low launch draws
Titleist hosels are unique to other manufacturers. They are more simple to understand with how you can change loft and adjust draw and fade
We need to see Rick/Pete vs Ian/Matty!
Is it true that in adjustable hosled drivers that when you decrease the loft it opens the face and Visa versa?
Yes
Please review the new kirkland 2.0 ball
Can you guys test the Kirkland wedges?
TSI3 gotta be close to the M5 fairway . Wondering how they differ.
Can’t wait to see Tsi2 vs. Sim Would a Sim and or Tsi2 fairway metal be good for me with a driver SS at 100-105 mph ?
They’re both the same honestly, except the sim max and max D have no adjustability. Regular sim fwy does and is $100 more
You guys should test the Kirkland wedges
