I don't know if she lets you win here or if you're the only one who knows her well enough to "read" her. The worst part is, it's likely you'd never know which one. She may cheat, but it'd be hard to do in front of all of them. So I think they're implying people "reading". Mind you, that's not the 100% victory formula that movies make it out to be.

Cullen letting you win though makes as much sense though as he seems to be good at the game. It could be his way of testing and pushing people. Still, I think cheating everyone would be quite difficult (unless you were drinking water and getting the others drunk). It's really hard to say especially when they're not real people. The creators could have their opinions on what happened, but unless it were a mutually agreed upon conclusion of the writers of each character, it's hard to know such a thing. Just in real poker, playing the people or cheating isn't 100% guaranteed to work. People tend to catch on that a person raises a large amount towards the end and forces everyone to fold and someone will eventually try calling them. You can't change out cards easily with 5+ on the table for something like Texas Hold'em and 2 in hand per player or with 5+ redraw in more traditional poker. With 8 players 5 cards per (Cassandra reading her hand) and 52 in normal deck, it'd be hard to not repeat cards. Could play with multiple or larger decks but really only specifically making sure you get dealt the proper cards at the start would work. Then someone is likely to notice you get the same cards over and over again or something. Iron Bull with his spy training and such would be one it would be very hard to imagine not getting suspicious.

Cole knows clothes can come off because he knows what love and sex are. I don’t remember exactly what he says but there’s that scene where he’s reading people’s happy/nostalgic memories and he’s talking about a guy remembering being with a woman during sex. A spirit of compassion also very likely knows about sex and affection, as lots of people think about their lover’s naked bodies when they’re reminiscing. I think Cole probably just meant it in the metaphorical sense of “huh Cullen is also just a person and not always a working Templar”

While a nice thought, who would want to risk playing against the spymaster? You get in a position where you take her clothes, and you won't find any for a month. Sera often mentions that she's afraid of her or afraid to say much. So while you don't need to outright fear her abilities (Cullen beats her in chess when she cheats), some may be too nervous to play her. She would likely try to spy on the game if she thought anyone were dangerous to the Inquisition. Also if she did play, anyone observing would then have a chance to learn more about her or her tells. So anyone who retold stories about the game may end up dead. They may end up dead either way actually.
Both of you are very right but if you think back to origins it would be even harder to tell how she would play(or possibly cheat...)and it would also be more nerve wrecking to... So risky no matter how you look at it!

It's nice too see them all together for once as not just allies or partners, but as friends, after all they been through they deserve a good laugh and time too themselves. One could call them a Brotherhood now something more than just forces coming together for a short time too defeat the threats the word has too offer. They're in it for the long run.
Wishful thinking, I know, but it would be nice to have a Wicked Grace DLC, where you can play with them whenever you want, with different stories from the companions randomized, or even other characters showing up for a round depending on what part of the game you are in like Loghain/Hawke/Alistair or Morrigan, or some of the agents you pick up along the way like the chevalier in Emprise De Lion. Imagine Bann Teagan showing up for a meeting and having to beat you at Wicked Grace to get you to leave! haha
yea inquisition has a lot of those 'unnatural' moments. Like when they interrupt each other, the person that was talking stops talking before they were ever interrupted, makes the flow of conversation jarring.
Part of the problem is that the voice actors are always busy and rarely have time to be in the same room together, let alone the same country, no game has mastered Dialogue in a way that makes interruptions and laughter seem natural.
If all the companions and player characters appeared to play a game of Wicked Grace, they would need a very large table. I wonder who would win between Josephine and Isabela.

I wish there were scenes like this in every Dragon Age game and I really hope we get something like this again in the next one. Conversations and cutscenes and becoming friends with individual characters is fine and everything, but scenes like this are just really heart warming, seeing them all come together as a group away from the battlefield

I can imagine my Inky leaves here and heads straight to his room to take his mind off that loss and possibly even incentivise losing again. So many people mention Sera under the table but I instead think about when he was taking off that armour, I wonder how that played out. I like to think my Inky “covered” him.

Here's a question. Why did they get rid of the nice copper/silver/gold monetary system that was in both DA Origins and DA2? Now every item just costs gold, even the herbs. It feels overly simplified and saving up until you have (insert really long number here) amount of gold for that item you could probably copy in item creation in a few levels doesn't feel as satisfying as finally gaining those ten soveriegns for that epic staff you can only buy from the dalish clan.

I don't understand what it is with games nowadays and the massive... inflation (for lack of a better term) in gold values. Diablo 3 is probably the worst example of this. Gold loses its "value" in our heads because you end up picking literal millions of gold so easy.

Is anyone else reminded of Tali from the Mass Effect series when they talk to Josephine? I mean, I already see James each time I talk to Iron Bull but with Josephine she reminds me of Tali, you know, when Tali became much more diplomatic in the third game. One of the reasons why it's awesome to talk to her :)
It's only different by a single line if you're in Love with the lovely Josie. Everything else differs with what race or combat type of Inqy you've chosen.

I got this yesterday with my male Qunari Inquisitor a shame the only way to win is by romancing Josephine was hoping there would be some Cassandra romance dialogue during the game of Wicked Grace.
I honestly wish I could hear the inquisitors entire story. Also what’s sad is that when Varric tells his story, Cullen will laugh. But when the inquisitor tells their story, Cullen doesn’t laugh. I guess he didn’t find it all that funny 😬

The wicked grace cutscene (as far as i know) is Varric's friendship scene. I think you have to complete Into the Abyss (?) to get it and you need enough approval with Varric
speed weel Except she's thoroughly uninterested in a male Inquisitor back in Haven, which should be months, if not a year or two before this scene (Inquisition should take place from 9:41 until 9:44, or so the claims were). Not to mention that I did Sera romance, the scene's exactly the same as the non-Josie-mance one, where Sera is also drunk under the table. All in all, I don't think this is even possible.
Arthas Nerzhul Uh... I think BioWare themselves stated that the events of the game itself are spread from 9:41 to 9:43 or so. After all, Origins only takes place during 9:30, with 9:31 being taken up by Awakening, and you only have Ferelden to travel through.
Considering this is the only version where you win it all, the conclusion must be that Josie let you win. D'aaaw, how adorable

Here's a question. Why did they get rid of the nice copper/silver/gold monetary system that was in both DA Origins and DA2? Now every item just costs gold, even the herbs. It feels overly simplified and saving up until you have (insert really long number here) amount of gold for that item you could probably copy in item creation in a few levels doesn't feel as satisfying as finally gaining those ten soveriegns for that epic staff you can only buy from the dalish clan.
MrSpartan993 Pretty much it. I hate to go "ugh they're dumbing it down for casual plebs" but that seems to be in effect here. I don't understand what it is with games nowadays and the massive... inflation (for lack of a better term) in gold values.
Diablo 3 is probably the worst example of this. Gold loses its "value" in our heads because you end up picking literal millions of gold so easy.

because it's war... so what? like that's not how economy works. Like if you're a weapons merchant you don't just increase the price of a sword to a few silvers+coppers by 500% into gold.

I wish there was a way to determine who gets naked. That would be hilarious to see the funny reactions from other characters, especially if either Josephine or Inquisitor lost.
Is anyone else reminded of Tali from the Mass Effect series when they talk to Josephine? I mean, I already see James each time I talk to Iron Bull but with Josephine she reminds me of Tali, you know, when Tali became much more diplomatic in the third game. One of the reasons why it's awesome to talk to her :)

I got this yesterday with my male Qunari Inquisitor a shame the only way to win is by romancing Josephine was hoping there would be some Cassandra romance dialogue during the game of Wicked Grace.
I honestly wish I could hear the inquisitors entire story.
Also what’s sad is that when Varric tells his story, Cullen will laugh. But when the inquisitor tells their story, Cullen doesn’t laugh. I guess he didn’t find it all that funny 😬

The wicked grace cutscene (as far as i know) is Varric's friendship scene. I think you have to complete Into the Abyss (?) to get it and you need enough approval with Varric

speed weel Except she's thoroughly uninterested in a male Inquisitor back in Haven, which should be months, if not a year or two before this scene (Inquisition should take place from 9:41 until 9:44, or so the claims were).
Not to mention that I did Sera romance, the scene's exactly the same as the non-Josie-mance one, where Sera is also drunk under the table.
All in all, I don't think this is even possible.

Uh... I think BioWare themselves stated that the events of the game itself are spread from 9:41 to 9:43 or so. After all, Origins only takes place during 9:30, with 9:31 being taken up by Awakening, and you only have Ferelden to travel through.
