Love this! It’s so true that the Christian walk is many times so painful and long. This song is a good reminder not to give up, since “we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses”, as Romans 12 says. Therefore, “let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
We used to sing this song in the glee club in my high school in Lebanon (country). I just remembered it this morning when I was trying to comfort my husband. I suddenly started singing it, and could not continue because I got emotional. I searched You Tube. I really like this version. It seems to at a church. Now singing is being banned in churches, how sad.
I hope your right bc at this point on my lufe I know the Lord ultra well and none of the BS inflicted on me was worth it ...not to date. But I am open to more.
