Thank you for this valuable information.
Thank you for the info.
Quick video and very informative 👍🏼
No bla bla bla 👍🏼
Nice summary, but I wish you could have spent more time distinguishing between the different forms. They mostly have the same benefits in terms of supporting brain, nerve and muscle function.
The Calm magnesium supplement featured brightly in the pictures has changed ownership several times in the past few years and no longer has magnesium citrate which is why I used to buy it for my constipation. It is now entirely magnesium carbonate which is an antacid and blocks the absorption of other vitamins and caused my health to go down because I hadn't noticed that it was only magnesium carbonate. The back of the package says it's has citric acid which supposedly makes ionic magnesium citrate which is not magnesium citrate. Magnesium citrate is chelated and does not ionize very well. For magnesium citrate to work properly and has to be absorbed as a whole molecule. Magnesium carbonate causes bloating in me and my brother and I highly recommend NOT to use it.

Magnesium glycinate !!!!!!

Amazing video!! Has given me some new ideas for some videos on my channel!💪
I will get PVC and PAC on occasion and have been on Mag malate for about 2 years now.
Seems to help somewhat but have
recently read some good info on the benefits of mag taurate.
In your opinion is there any problem combining the two forms of mag?
I currently take 425 mg of the malate and was thinking about adding 200 mg of the taurate.
I also get neck and shoulder pain which the malate seems to be better for.
What to do...what to do.
Thanks
Love your voice bro
Which one should i take to stay healthy overall and dieting...??
Just purchased magnesium malate & glycinate liquid formula. Thanks!

Started taking magnesium citrate about a week ago. This morning, I started having diarrhea like symptoms. I couldn’t think of anything I ate. Then I read that magnesium citrate can do that. I have to back off now.

Check out a video by Mike and Matty (brothers who are doctors),
called "What is the best magnesium supplement to take?"
At 1m30s, you'll see several forms mentioned. Two of them are likely to be closes to what you need.
Magnesium orotate (energy / pre workout) & magnesium malate (muscle relief / post workout).

this is good for lactating mom?
what about magnesium glycerophosphate?
People have to experiment with Magnesium because if if works for them don't mean it work for you as Glycinate keeps me awake all night and Theronate makes me to groggy the next day and Chloride makes me to restless all night and Malate gives to much energy and that's for day use, but for relaxation and sleep and ones that worked for me Is Calm or Chelate, so have to experiment to find what works for you.
@ spiritual outlaw which brand of magnesium are u using, if calm brand is it glycinate or malate

Have you tried oxide aswell?
Is it really as useless as people claim it be
Magnesium carbonate?
200 mg of Magnesium Glycinate seems to be a stimulant and it keeps me up most of the night. I’m going to try taking it during the day and see if it gives me energy.
Spencer Brown it should help relax your mind and sleep better not the other day around.
Drowsy after taking it. It should help you sleep. Are you an alien..
izuan headstompvega teehee 😄
Not for me it's relaxing
@Spencer Brown You're not alone Glycine has an excitatory effect on some people. Including myself
Can you please explain elemental magnesium. What is the percentages in some of these magnesium's like Glycinate.
When I see 400mg is there really only 18% of elemental magnesium in it? I am confused, thanks.
By weight it will be 18% -26% depending on the molecule composition. Not an issue.
This is a real problem not explained by the video. Men are recommended to take 420 mgs of elemental MG/day. If the capsule only contains 18% elemental Mg, then you must take about about 23 capsules to get the recommended amount. Gasp!
Diarrhea is a side effect for ALL forms of magnesium? Really need to clarify this. Already going through hell with L-Carnitine
Im taking magnesuium bisglycenate 200mg.. i had a trouble sleeping and experience muscle pain and fatigue due to my work.. hope it can help a lot to me
Did it work?
Great now I’m confused
Use the first one he mentioned, if you do not want diarrhea.
@@katbos4995 I agree I started on magnesium citrate and found it acted way too much as a laxative.
The 1st one is magnisium glycenate.
we buy magnesium directly from the factory but its magnesium sulphate was not mentioned in the piece ? is that any good ?
yes but in moderation . excess intake will give you loose stools. you should use more than one form as in nature you don't get one form.
If you are taking magnesium for anxiety purposes then I recommend using magnesium L-Threonate
Is magnesium l threonate better than mg glycinate??
chuck lombardo I just take it in capsule form with regular cold or room temp water

Best Magnesium Supplement
I heard that magnesium is also increase dopamine receptors density. Is that true?
Malate will increase dopamine
What magnesium carbonate do? I bought box of it in local drug store, it mixed with vitamin 56
Its really bad, it works as an antacid (removes the acid in your stomach) which makes it so your body cant absorb vitamins and minerals.
@@kristjanorn3342 wow really. That might be why I’m having issues. I’ll cut it out and see if it helps. Do you have Resources for this information?
Magnesium changed my life!!! 400mgs of Mag Glycinate, 150mgs of Mag Citrate, 2100mg of Mag L Theronate. Three years ago hurt my back and was recommended Epsom salt baths. Not only did my pain reduce, my anxiety/stress and low moods decreased (like turning a stereo from 10 to 3). Then went down the rabit hole of magnesium supplementation. Got a great balance now and understand the role of excess calcium. Please take any of these supplements, even the most inexpensive will do good. Peace out from Ireland 🇮🇪✌

Question. What if I take a multivitamin that contains magnesium oxide and take a magnesium supplement that is magnesium glycinate? Is taking the 2 ok?
Different timing. Probably one day and one night.
Which magnesium best for sleeping sir? Please tell me sir
Glycinate
Multiple studies have shown that Magnesium citrate and oxide barely absorb at all.
Secondly how do so many magnesiums have different effects? Considering absorption is the thing that counts most. After that it's just magnesium.
So how is one just good for muscles and the other one just good for brain. That makes 0 sense....
Kas J Im I know that magnesium theronate is able to cross the blood brain barrier and this improves cognitive functioning and mental health. The other types do not do this.
Magnesium citrate is absorbed fine, according to literature
which one is best for acid reflux
Magnesium citrate

Is 55mg magnesium safe to take everyday? does anyone know?
Depends on what kind of Magnesium it is but generally yes, the average daily value of Mg is 350-425mg for men and 250-350 for women.
Not nearly enough. Start at 200mg and work up to at least 400mg. Not Oxide.
I absolutely do NOT need a laxative. I have yet to find a magnesium supplement that didn't result in unpleasant and inconvenient dashes to the bathroom. I understand that millions of Americans suffer from constipation but I do not. It would be useful to have more details on avoiding this undesirable complication. You touched on it, but I avoid magnesium for this reason and would like to know more.
Hi. Were you able to find the right type of magnesium best suited for your body?
@@brokenbutterfly3178 the only magnesium product I tolerate is Salt Wrap’s MAG R&R but I can’t say I notice any benefits from taking it. I’ve come to the conclusion that the supplements industry is all hype and no science because nothing I’ve ever taken has had any positive or noticeable impact whatsoever. The only sensible one is Vitamin D, which I have tested low on previously. It’s a waste of money IMO.

Capsule forms don't do sh** 🤷🤷🤷 and stores always carry the cheapest forms possibly. Also u forgot about magnesium glycerophosphate
I only wanted to know about magnesium carbonate he had pictures of it but didn't talk about it I was a waste of my time
In your recommendations, there are some ingredients that are toxic.
When they test for absorption dont they just look at Mg concentration in a subjects blood serum? And doesnt Mg needs to get into cells to be of any use? So ironically high absorpion supplements might actually suggest poor absorption since the Mg isnt migrating from blood into cells. Unless science can measure cellular Mg levels we might be getting the wrong idea about Mg absorptivity. And then there is the effects of Calcium on Mg. If Ca/Mg mineral ratios are to be believed then high calcium intake might be ruining you efforts to boost Mg. Also, if you try to boost Mg with nuts and seeds you may end up with high Copper impairing zinc and iron absorption, especially if you dont eat meats. I read about 50% of people with Mg deficiency? - Yes, I can believe that. The dentists are loving it though because with low Mg the teeth can weaken which is why your dentists keeps very quiet about the benefits of Mg on tooth strength. These days I use a nutritional calculator to ensure my diet provides adequate minerals and that the main 5 mineral ratios are within the recommended zones so that one doesnt partially cancel out the other - well, its cheaper than supplements which can be expensive.
