They won’t widely release this because there simply is no audience for it. Nobody wants this but about 100,000 people. I miss the days when Trek was for everyone.
I love seeing new aspects of the trek universe so this is definitely for me
I hope the Section 31 movie is great success. If it is we may see more Trek streaming movies. I know some fans don't care for deviation from TOS or TNG, but I like Trek to try new things.

I asked for it! Or, at least, I can’t wait for it. I have been a Star Trek fan since 1973 and have seen all adorations and I absolutely love these newer Trek series. If you don’t, it’s because you don’t know what it’s like to be constantly excluded from these stories, that we all love.

Honestly I'm soooo tired of time travel in Trek. 90% of the time it feels like "well we need filler and had no better ideas" and leaves me feeling like nothing of value was gained.
