I really enjoyed watching your journey. Congratulations. I've never done anything like the Way, but have taken 14 week long long-distance walks in England, and one 50 mile walk from Pisa to Siena, Italy. I didn't have to carry a park thankfully. In Italy my pack was transported to next hotel, and just carried a day pack. My first day in Italy was 22 miles, not kilometers, but miles, through rain, storms and walking across muddy vineries. It was the first time i realized how powerful mind over matter was, especially at the end of the day always walking up hill, when you think your body can go no further and yet you have no other choice but to get to the end, and that's when your brain kicks in. What I loved with you, the parents, is how upbeat you were. Maybe you only filmed the upbeats parts, but nonetheless I think what you both did for Megan and Henry was phenomenal. It will be something that will effect them forever. that they can start and finish a grueling quest and succeed. Hated to see this end, but will watch your other videos. Best to you both, Jane, Philadelphia
Hey Jane! You have done some amazing challenges by the sounds of things, wow! 22 miles in one day is just phenomenal and we doff our hats to you, we are currently looking at Italy as a very near future walk with the kids, have a look at our recent Instagram post, we think that this will give you a flavour of what is coming up in our future videos. In reality we never really had any down bits, we loved the Camino and even today we still miss it (also watch the Instagram space 😉). The kids are amazing and they did so well to achieve what they did and we are so immensely proud of them for what they achieved and as parents we are honoured to have been able to share it with them. Thank you also for watching, we love sharing this journey 👣
Congratulations guys!!!! I watched every one of your excellent videos. It was fun seeing all of the locations that we experienced...I think I was 4-5 days behind you. In Santiago, it was just past the bag piper, when you first enter the square in front of the Cathedral, that I dropped sorely to one knee and proposed to my gf who had flown from Canada and met me at the finish line. A doubly emotional day for us. I had become a member of an awesome Camino family of some 20 people or so, and while it was absolutely thrilling to complete this journey, each of us had to deal with the sudden realization that we would be fracturing our short but intense relationships and going our separate ways. Many tears were shed. Although we still keep in touch on WhatsApp, it just isn't the same, and my Camino blues are still with me. As my German friend said: "You can hike the Camino, or you can join the Camino". Once again, congratulations of completing this incredible journey and thanks for the memories.
WOW! Congratulations for 1) for proposing (we assume she said yes 😉) 2) for completing the Camino! We share the Camino family approach with you, we miss it everyday and wish we could just do it without any limitations of the outside world, however, bills need to paid and mouths fed 😃Thank you so much for sharing that with us...amazing! 👣 Buen Camino
Fantastic, the children were brilliant, especially your daughter, she was the star of the walk, looking forward to seeing more of your videos in the future 👍👍👍
Hey David...she certainly was, there was no moaning at all and she coped so well with the walk. We are so proud of both of them (they did far better than us 🤣)
Bravo! And double bravo to Henry & Meghan! Love the family photo. We’ve seen the least of Henry but he’s won my heart. 15 year old boys are special, often complex but very special. I gave three boys myself.
Hey Grove Beach House...nice to hear from you again. Henry and Megan are such amazing individuals and we love them to the moon and back. I am determined to get Henry more on camera as he has such comical timings with situations and his laugh is infectious 🤣
I have loved your videos - they have brought back so many memories and made me laugh. Well done to you all! I remember the mixed feelings and I definitely found the last day a bit of a anticlimax.
Hey Lynnwiltshire...thank you for watching! We are looking forward to sharing our next experiences (something really exciting coming up later in the year 😃)
Hi, thanks a lot for your videos which we now all watched. As we walked at the same time it was wonderful to see the scenery again with your eyes. We wish you all the best, Heidi and Wolfgang from Germany (Wolfgang is seen on your video from Orisson to Roncesvalles)
Hey both...thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed and wasn't it the most beautiful scenery ever. How will we recognise Wolfgang on the video? 😃 Buen Camino 👣
Hi, the scenery was really amazing and we will never forget our hike and all the wonderful people we met. Wolfgang is to be seen after about 4 minutes on the video, the man with the umbrella in his backpack. Bye and take care
Wow you guys! I have watched every video and was hanging out for your arrival in Santiago 😄🤣 I was so emotional watching you all arriving. Much admiration and honour to you all. I think you are a beautiful family, gentle parents and typical teens and you made it in one piece. I just love, love, love 💕 you guys. Congratulations and don't forget the milk.
Hey Puti...many thanks for watching our journey and your kind words, we loved sharing it and going back and watching it ourselves as it was such a unique experience. I'll go get the milk now 🥛🤣
Congratulations!!! It’s been a pleasure watching you enjoying every step of the way…even with tough decisions and difficulties.. bravo !!!! We cannot wait for new vlog. safe travels coming back home!!! the camino and we all be here waiting for you to come back.
Hey The Phil We Know...thank you for watching, did you have a particular favourite video from the Camino? Personal favourite for us was the one getting into Sarria (bloppers at the end still make us laugh now 🤣).
A bit late to the party, but I have very much enjoyed watching your series on the Camino. Congratulations on your determination and good humour throughout the journey. It has long been my ambition to do the walk and, although I am getting a bit long in the tooth now, your videos have given me additional motivation! Thank you 🙂
Yes, I walk also in 40 day first time. You have a beautiful morning to walk the last steps. It's so emotional even for me after si many enters in Santiago. It's not easy after. But I eish yiu a Buen Camino in your life home. Thanks for the journey.
Fantastic Journey and insight to the Camino Frances - loved the videos and is hugely inspiring! . Great effort from the not so little ones as well - lovely to see a beautifully bonded family.
Your vlog brought tears to my eyes remembering my own Camino journey and arrival into Santiago just 2 days after you. Well done all of you, a magical journey x
Such an amazing journey for your family. I started following you when I was walking the camino few weeks ago. God bless your family and I will continue to pray for you.
Hey Clive...love 🥰 and rainbows 🌈 right back at you 😃. Thank you for watching and we loved filming and sharing our journey. Buen Camino for next year, let us know how you get on. Is there a video that you liked the most and therefore looking forward to doing it yourself?
😭😭😭 A big congratulations to you all!! What an achievement! I start my Camino Frances journey in exactly two weeks!! It’s been a lot of fun following you on yours! 🥰
Hey Carol...thank you! 2 weeks 🎉...how exciting, I remember how we felt prior to the walk and we all would do it again in a heartbeat! Please let us know how you get on. What part are you looking forward to the most? 👣 Buen Camino
Hi Carol, I think I’m just a few days ahead of you on the Way so if I walk slow or you walk fast there is a chance our paths will cross. Ultreia Carol 😊
@@EverydayJourneysTV Thanks! I think I’m looking forward to most of it ( not going to lie - a little worried about the first day)! But hoping the views, the food, the culture and most importantly the people will make up for a little bit of worry! 🥰
Hey Michelle...thank you for watching and commenting. Thank you, we are massively proud of the kids (and us 🤣) in finishing the Camino, such an amazing experience! September 23 will be here in no time...you must be very excited! Is there one specific video that has made you start looking forward to a specific stage of the Camino? 👣
@@EverydayJourneysTV we are starting in Sarria ( due to time constraints) so yes your videos from there have piqued my interest. I’d love to do more of the Camino but we shall see! My younger sister & I walked 100+ km of the Via Francigena in Italy in May & just loved the experience ✨🙌
@@michellecorbett4771 I am now googling the Via Francigena.....we love Italy and to add a Camino into the mix! HEAVEN! You will love the walk from Sarria, it is most beautiful 🥰. Really enjoyed the whole series of videos, I was several days ahead of you starting at St Jean ( May 6) and finishing in Finisterre ( June 9) with a few days away from the Camino here and there ( we brought our car from the UK, which made things like accommodation more flexible). While I planned walking 20-25km a day, I found 30-35km worked for me ( walking on my own with hiking poles and no blisters, and 9 months of preparing through increasingly long walks. You did such a good job filming and editing the whole thing, I had intended to film more but it is harder you think to keep stopping! Looking forward to your next adventure!
Hey Jeff...congratulations on completing the Camino, we are also considering going back and doing the Santiago to Finisterre stage. How did you find the walk to Finisterre? Thank you on watching the series and glad you enjoyed, look forward to sharing the next adventures with the community 😃
You can see the last 6 walking days of my Camino from Portomarin to Finisterre ( 4 mins) ruclips.net/video/0in-j1G-TdA/видео.html I took 3 days to walk from Santiago to Finisterre, I would say do it if you like Galicia ( lush green and very prone to rain), far fewer people ( more like Frances), cafes need more planning ( don’t walk past the few that are open, as it might be ages before you find another). As you will see day 2 was very wet, but day 3 was lovely, specially the whole arrival at the coast, the lighthouse area was a bit busy with bus tours…
Congratulations!! So fantastic to follow your journey. I was teary-eyed as I was watching you in the square and then burst out laughing at Mark “I only went out for milk”. Cannot wait for future vlogs. Our walk starts in just over a month and I’m getting a little nervous…. 😳. Take care and happy belated anniversary

I’m looking forward to following your videos wherever you go.
Hey Barker Ellen...thank you, we are all proud of one another...such an experience 😃 We found that 'embracing' the pains beat any other approach 👍 We are already feeling the pull...we miss it soooo much (maybe a quick Santiago to Finisterre walk...what you think? Should we do it?) Buen Camino for the 10th Sept (we love Leon!)...let us know how you get on 👣
Well done folks - great achievement!! Loved the frankness of the videos. You were so happy when Mark so much in pain and all others tired. Amazing stamina by all. Did you get to the Pilgrims’ Mass? What Camino is next?
Amazing work! What an achievement. I agree with you that your mind and a part of your body wants to keep going, but there is a part that really wants to get back home and "normal" life after living out of a pack for so long. I found being inside and loud noise the hardest things to adapt to when I finished. Take care and I look forward to your future adventures.
Hey Grant...thank you, I will make sure that I pass this onto the rest of the family members 😃 'Normal life' has certainly changed since we have got back, our view on how to live our life is much different now thanks to the Camino experience. 'Inside' and 'loud noises', we can relate to that...also not following yellow arrows we found disturbing when we first left Santiago 🤣
Hey Harry...thank you 😃 We are tempted to do a quick pop over to Spain and do the Santiago to Finisterre bit 👣 What about you? Norte? Portuguese route I have heard is lovely 😉
@@EverydayJourneysTV I definitely have unfinished business that’s for sure! I didn’t have time to do Finisterre so that’s definitely on the list. I’m going to do the Portuguese this October so will watch your next video in Porto with great interest for some tips!
What am I going to do without your videos? I’ve really enjoyed seeing the camino again through your eyes. And can’t wait to do my shortie camino starting on Sept 11 (Camino Inglés from Ferrol to Santiago)- it’s a quickie of approx 5 days but quite demanding nonetheless. But, be warned, the camino is like a bug, once you’ve caught it… It is really difficult to cure and you may find yourselves to be re-infected from time to time. Sooo glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to more videos in the future!
Hey Judith...you are quite right, the Camino has an addictive pull to it! We are very tempted to return 😉 We are in hope that you will enjoy our upcoming videos, lots going on this year. Please let us know how your Camino journey goes 👣 Buen Camino!

Well done folks - great achievement!! Loved the frankness of the videos. You were so happy when Mark so much in pain and all others tired. Amazing stamina by all.
Did you get to the Pilgrims’ Mass? What Camino is next?
Hey Graham..thank you and thank you for watching. We loved the Camino and can't wait to experience the Camino again some time soon 👍
Congratulations guys! Del Norte or Primitivo next then?
Hi wondering if you got distance certificates or what was in the tube Megan had?
Hey Janet...yes we bought the tube to keep our certificates safe on our journey home (we are not very good at keeping things flat 🤣)
please please tell me there is another way to cathredal as i can not amagine walking in to that noise of the bag pips after 40 days 0f piece and tranquality
Hey Robert...yes there is, head left when you get to the Cathedral and walk round...slightly longer but equally as beautiful 👣
