- The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has launched its biggest financial centre in the capital Kinshasa in an effort to boost the country's economy.
The Kinshasa Financial Center built by a Turkish company is strategically located in Gombe district, western DRC.
The construction of 11 buildings in a 165,000-square metre area started in February 2022, and was completed in December 2023.
The design and construction of the modern building has been done by Turkish construction company Milvest, a subsidiary of Miller Holding.
The foundation stone was laid in June 2022. It has taken Turkish engineers one-and-a-half years to complete the major project.
At least 3,000 workers, including 1,500 Congolese and 1,500 Turks, have worked on the construction.
If it was one of the dreams of President Felix Tshisekedi to build DRC, and place it in a unique position globally, the dream has been achieved after opening the financial centre.
When the centre officially starts operations, 5,000 people are expected to work at the facility.

Turkish Milvest Corp is doing many great things in DRC!
Not for free not that

Raw resources in return still ok nice to see a city develop
@@nyoni_tour6677Haven't you listened to the report? Turkey is not part of the countries that take raw resources in Congo! It has no Predator mentality like the French

So happy to see some good progress in Africa. Love and best wishes from India. 🙏
Wow.. congratulations
Félicitations à la RDC , depuis la Côte d'Ivoire

THIS IS A BIG ACHIEVEMENT OF DRC I'M GLAD TO HAVE THIS KIND OF PRESIDENT LIKE FELIX TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO, MAY OUR GOD OF OUR ANCESTORS CONTINUE TO GIVE HIM WISDOM TO LEAD THE DRC AND PROTECT HIM FROM THE ENEMIES OF THAT COUNTRY.. WELL DONE MR PRESIDENT AND TURKISH PEOPLE ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Excellent leadership Mr President, bravo
Come on Africa. Please set aside your differences and try to look forward together. You have a great potential and I really want to see Africa thriving. Especially the DRC, a very big country with tons of resources and demographic potentials.
Well done great project
Great job Milvest, great work Türkiye, thanks to Mr Erdogan for his commitment to working on infrastructure in Africa. Türkiye partnership with Africa is yielding tangible results, not the constant lecturing by Westerners on marriage,GMO foods etc.
Love seeing Turkish brothers succeeding.
While the Turkish, Chinese and Indians are learning engineering, Africans are busy learning European languages and see that as intellect
You'll be labelled an enemy of progress by petty psychophants that cannot compete with their peers from the West, yet we live in a global village
🥶
coolest grammar though
West must be vomiting blood.
Congratulations to DR Congo. Keep on developing.
Many congratulations, well done with thanks to all who made it possible. It is important build an education system so that our young people can take pride in leading and building our own.
$290m is cheap, well done to all!
if this was in canada, it would cost 20X more and take many years to build due to red tape and BS
Well done DRC ! 🎉🎉🎉
ARISE AFRICA❤❤❤
Bravo 🙌 proud of French-speaking Africa
3500 Congolese and 2500 Turkish
Congo na biso. ❤
3500 Congolese's and 2500 Turkish's workers
Why import thousands of foreign workers on such a normal project?
@@philipotenyo8236 technical skills are not available.. The constructor would save money hiring local staff..
Let’s hope Milvest can work in other African nations like Zimbabwe that need infrastructure boost and need new stadiums.
Can't you see how stupid you sound by tauting stadiums as engines for economic growth? Please check out Ethiopia having completed their Renaissance dam and they have an electric train. Cheap electricity will attract industrialists and manufacturers that will use the electric train for rapid transportation for exports. That's an engine for economic growth.
Nice 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Best wishes ❤😘😮 from somalia
Thanks a lot❤ God bless you
Turkish is friend Like brother to many African countries
Love this for a african country
Not the richest in terms of resources in Africa but the whole wide world rather .
Madly rich and soon will be freed
Thanks to Turkey for believing in Africans with concrete projects ❤

My help, My help, My help. All of my help cometh from the Lord..
This project gives value for money. If this was built in Western Africa, it will cost Billions of Dollars, and it won't look as good as this!!
U do know countries with the most resources are usually poor why becuz of something called a resource curse
$290M for 11 buildings is a total scam! Woe unto drc
How
1 skyscraper in London can cost more than 10 billion, so you don’t know what you’re talking about
@@valmal2659 u ain't too bright either
Too bad drc is corrupt, imagine if they had a strong leader. It would be a leading nation in Africa
That was before, stop compare the actual president with the past ones
@henryking6070 the president is only one person but other ministers are
Turkey will own Congo.
Be careful.....If a project is a grant, granting country take decisions. If it is a loan decisions are up to both countries. If you hire a foreign company to do your work, all decisions to be taken by the hiring country. I am sure Congo have enough human resources to do most of the work of this project, without importing this much foreign work force.
Countries like Japan are most generous doing projects in foreign countries.
The DRC as a massive and resourceful country..still needs so much work..unfortunately im just not someone who is impressed by shiny things..
It is clear this benefits Turkey more than DRC. 1500 workers from Turkey and 1500 workers from Congo in their own land. That is funny.
nah it's 2500 from turkey and 3500 from Congo.
@@georgesmasebi6159still turkey is winning 😂
@@icetrip2417 🤣and so what !?? what can I do about it tho 🤷🏾♂️,... I guess none . 🇨🇩❤️
heard of a word called "collaboration" just a simple word, thats how most of the mega projects are executed, regardless of geographical region.
@@Thehusseyin Nobody is against collaboration here but the number of Turkish workers is more than necessary. It is just a way to get more money into the Turkey's economy. This isn't collaboration alone. Jeez!
Why are they playing western classical music. They should be proud and showcase local music.
Africa needs houses and apartments not comercial buildings.
Why does leaders keep speaking in French ? Why not in native language.
Why is he only building Kinshasa those buildings are Turkish workers who build it how about Congolese who need jobs and how about good roads in the country. You can’t even drive from Kinshasa to east congo this is premitive behavior..
The Turkish have made their own bank 😂😂😂
Yall never learn
🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩❤❤❤❤❤❤
U need to build better houses for the people of DR congo
What western influence have ever benefited Afrika
When China builds things in Africa it's a bad thing. But when a western country does it, it's a good thing 😂
Lets hope there will not be an earthquake 😅
Are you from rwanda? Cuz those ppl can say that
Why DRC have capital city far from their resources? They need to put their capital city on the middle of the country. Easy to respond incase of attacks would also be easy to control the stealing of their resources. Congratulations though 🎉
because their resource rich eastern part is very destablised already and very insecure, right now the capital being far from that part, helps it to be stable and functioning, if they move capital eastward, then even the capital city will also be affected from the conflict and this would be very bad for the economic prosect of the country.
@@_UCS_SwapnilSahaiSrivastav capital city being in the middle of the country creates sprawl effects development reaches to other part of the country very fast. Look at Kenya they selected Nairobi and not Mombasa , Tanzania they selected Dodoma and not Dar es Salaam, now Burundi they moved to the middle of the country Gitega which is closer to un peaceful neighbor.
Good ,very good ,excellent, I want to more of this kind, stop buying arms from the west ,buy building materials from China and farm equipment from Netherlands make your country the best place to live.stop speaking French and choose a larger tribe in Congo 🇨🇩 and learn that in schools.
So u guys can't even build a small project urself lmao
that’s too good for people, France would easily intervene
political involvement
When an African firm is going to build something instead of these foreign companies?
Thanks to turkiye for investing in Africa
Down the American Dollar
It’s about time
More debt..... just what is needed
There's no debt on this project.
The DRC has the least debt and has more natural resources than any developing nations on the continent.
This project was done on their own busy: no debt!
My dear, we are one of the riches Country in minerals, we don't need to borough money.
