I like Statterfield but I don't think he's making it past 6-8 rounds with Liston. He's been knocked out by guys like Jake LaMotta in 7, Archie Moore in 3, Harold Johnson 3, Clarence Henry 1, Marty Marshall in 2 and Ezzard Charles in 2. Some of these being great punchers but others being skilled counter punchers. Liston often outweighed Statterfield buy close too 40 pounds. Idk what prime weight statterfield was at but I doubt it would be anything over 180 too Listons 215-220. I would like Statterfield too win but like many punchers that have faced liston, I don't think Statterfield would last that long with Liston. Loved the video and keep up with the content

Obviously Liston should be heavily favored in this fight, but I highly believe Satterfield won't go down without a fight. It's just his nature! I know that Satterfield has been knocked out a lot using many examples you used above (LaMotta KO7, Henry KO1) but mostly, he puts up an epic fight before getting knocked out. Satterfield is very unpredictable, as much he was kayoed by people, he also blasted plenty of them! He knocked out the the rugged and tough Julio Mederos in two rounds, blasted John Holman in one round, had the giant Nino Valdes so mesmerized with his power so much he spent the whole fight backing up (even dropping him for a 9-count in the process), blasted the durable, heavy Bob Baker in 1 round and many more. If Satterfield could show tremendous power against a durable, high level opponent who weight 215 lbs, (Baker & Valdes) I highly believe his punches can have a clear affect on Sonny Liston. Liston also doesn't really possess a granite chin, he could be hurt as shown by the fact he was staggered by Ali, stunned by Marshall and was badly hurt by Folley (who actually put Liston on the ropes).
As for his loses to LaMotta, Satterfield at the time was a 22 year old kid who only was in his 17th pro fight against the highly experience LaMotta. Even that, Satterfield actually shook him badly with a right hand but sadly he didn't follow up (this is mainly becuz he haven't develop his crushing follow up combinations at the time).
Overall, I feel like this fight would only last 3 rounds. I think Satterfield's superior handspeed could counter every Liston's attempt to finish him on the ropes. He could hurt Liston badly with his left hook and counter his jabs with his right cross but in the end, Liston would probably came out on top as he is the stronger and tougher fighter who could whether all of Satterfield's storm. Liston would probably knock Satterfield out in 3 but an exciting fight while it lasted.
Lastly I wonder, how well could Satterfield handle Liston's intimidation? It could affect his performance badly if he was intimidated.

@@crazykocounters4741 It would be explosive for 3 rounds and Satterfield would need some luck to drop Liston.
Satterfield had the Crack to knock out any man but i just dont see him getting past a power strong jab of liston without getting caught on the way in. Liston was a very very good boxer puncher. 👊

@@crazykocounters4741 honestly he might be intimidated but I don’t think it would effect him too much. I do however think statterfield would get a little nervous after the first solid blow of listons connects

I think would be similar to Zora Folley vs Sonny liston, where Folley troubled liston early on

If you think Liston just destroys Satterfield, you gotta think about it twice. Satterfield had wins over guys who are just as big if not, bigger than Liston. Actually, I find Satterfield is more comfortable fighting larger guys, he blasted John Holman and Bob Baker in 1 round, knocked Cleveland Williams out in three rounds and dominated the Cuban giant Nino Valdes.
Satterfield also had the advantage in speed, his hands travels 10x faster than Liston's. If both threw a left hook, Satterfield's punch would land first. I think Satterfield shook Liston a couple if moments before he gets knocked out.

Wiliams was extremely green when he fought Satterfield, fought him as a last second substitute, and was actually winning before hurting Satterfield and prematurely going for the KO.

Unpredictable Satterfield might shock the world and ko Liston like Leotis Martin did OR get destroyed in the first round. We’ll never know.

Martin KOd Liston way past his prime also Liston permanently disabled Martin's vision putting Martin out of boxing Martin who still had problems with Liston wouldn't of last long against a younger Liston Leotis Martin was average at best He Knocked the elderly Liston out but he didn't have an easy time doing so and I don't think Satterfield beats a young Liston as well he might of gave Liston a fight though if Satterfield was having a good night Bob Satterfield great puncher tough guy but he had a checkered career

It would be an entertaining fight .Sattlefield has the power to hurt Listen but I see Listen using defensive guards and his delayed jab even sudtle open hand man handling like he did Patterson .Listen had trouble with movers but inside and mid range fighters he had the advantage over .Perhaps this is due to his physical strength .Chuck Wepner thought Listen said Listen was as strong as Foreman in the grapling .Foreman said Listen was strongest guy he faced and the only guy he could not move back an inch .Listen was at his weakenest when he forced to move forward and over reach againest movers .Feet planted firmly the ground you would have to contend with that 7ft wing span and giant hands .He was a natural heavyweigh although modest in height his wrist and ankles measured as thick as Foremans and pre training camp weight according to his biography was 233lb
