She has become 'family' to us and therein lies the secret to why we feel the way we do when we listen to her sing. It's WHO SHE IS that touches our hearts. Her vocal and artistic abilities are off the charts but that soulfulness we hear originates in her soul and it transitions into a loving melody of words as she tells us the story of the song like no one else can. She is a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and that will never change. I recently heard that this is going is considered to fall into a genre called 'Jazz - Pop'. They can call it whatever they like, but I just hope we get much more of it in her upcoming album that is supposed to be released this month. Specifically, Angelina said, 'I have to say if it wasn't for the unconditional love that came from Billie Holiday's legendary music, THERE WOULD NOT BE ANGELINA JORDAN TODAY'. She also sdded, 'I am very blessed that her music found me very early'. For the uninformed, Billie Holiday was an uneducated, self taught singer who never had a mentor, and worked her way into the night clubs of Harlem where she was crowned 'Queen Of Jazz'. I’m willing to bet she had a much greater roll in the entire writing and production than just helping out. We’ve all seen how special she is special in so many ways since she was a child. For me, it doesn't matter what Angelina is singing about, the integrity and kindness of her being comes through her magnificent voice and artistry. I feel like she's been a grown-up singer for years, but now she's getting to explore being an adult and making her own songs with this new album that we're all anxiously waiting to hear the rest of.
