Gal Gadot may not be the best actress but she made a good WW. She was tall so that gave a certain gravitas to the role. Her accent helped sell the Mediterranean/Greek part. Her acting isn't great so a fish out of water storyline was good for her. They paired her with a better charming male actor who could do all the "heavy lifting". Normally I’m not super particular about height or muscle mass as long as the actor looks believable in the part, but I definitely agree with you in this case. WW is meant to be a lot bigger than the average woman both in terms of height and muscle mass. The Amazons are known for being exceptionally tall women, so id say at the very least height definitely matters here. Especially since whoever is cast as WW is gonna be standing next to David Corenswet who’s 6’4”.
Couldn’t do it now, but Catherine Zeta-Jones is someone I always wanted to see play Wonder Woman. You’ve got to have the class and elegance of Diana Prince, then the compassion and raw power of WW, I just don’t see anyone having that at the moment.

A lot of great actresses mentioned for Wonder Woman but many are too old IMO. I see it as a problem with a lot of superhero actors being a good age to be a superhero for a few years but they need to be young enough to play the part for 15-20 years or more. I love Alexandra Daddario but she is 37 years old. Actors in their mid-20s should be getting most of these roles.

I think I'll leave it up to James Gunn and decide what the best route can be. Specially if its a brand new and unknown in order to start fresh if you ask me. I think they should narrow down into the origin of the character, and maybe chose for a non-American non-English actress, someone with a Mediterranean or European descent that highlights the roots of the character. Whatever you may want to think about Gal Gadot (I for one, will really miss her as the character), but I think her Israelite background really made me believe that the character came from the Greek-influenced Themyscira. Not sure. And I’ll admit that while I do find Gal Gadot quite attractive, I wasn’t big on the whole Greek Mythology aspect of her Wonder Woman.
Zazie is a great actress but she doesn't have the Wonder woman look.

I think I'll leave it up to James Gunn and decide what the best route can be. Specially if its a brand new and unknown in order to start fresh if you ask me.
I think they should narrow down into the origin of the character, and maybe chose for a non-American non-English actress, someone with a Mediterranean or European descent that highlights the roots of the character. Whatever you may want to think about Gal Gadot (I for one, will really miss her as the character), but I think her Israelite background really made me believe that the character came from the Greek-influenced Themyscira. Only minor suggestions
