I want her to eventually get her regular varia suit back. Maybe her metroid suit could become a type of hyper mode? Metroid suit was cool but the talons on her arm cannon looked ridiculous. Since we know the metroid DNA is overtaking her, maybe she will try to find a way to purge it from her body. A number of times she seemed to instinctually grab enemies to leech em meaning she's becoming more feral, I don't think that'll sit well with her. Perhaps that's why quietrobe x went to samus, they had a mutual goal: samus wants to be free of or control the metroid DNA and the quiet x senses her as a large danger. My thing is if Raven beak "worships at the altar of power" why go metroid over X? X seem pretty darn powerful overrunning ZDR in hours, that's actually more impressive than a metroid, if he could contain them they'd be a huge power.
Make Samus the villain. Introduce a new bounty hunter or better yet, have Samus conceive a child that the Metroid DNA was passed on to. The game would basically be Samus saving her daughter from corruption or Samus being saved by a new character all together. I love all Metroid games but having to collect the same 8 power ups every single game is kinda getting old after 30 years lol.. Introduce new suits and new abilities to take Samus down.
Maybe look into why the Federation has EMMI robots that are immune to all her weapons. Are they preparing for Samus to become their enemy. Sort of following up on who the mysterious person was talking with Adam-bot in Fusion. Akin to the Alien franchise, the humans have ulterior motives. Even Other-M gave us a creepy scientist that took liberties with Samus's suit while she was unconscious. It's safe to say, her losing trust with the humans should be a huge story element. Who is she loyal to, Chozo or Human?
samus has trouble controlling her metroid dna, and it becomes a serious threat, and the game ends with her somehow casting it out of her body, it ends becoming metroid prime and gets trapped on an asteroid, which gets shot into a black hole or some other time travel shenanigans, causing it to travel back in time, crashing into tallon iv! which is why it eventually becomes dark samus, because it already was part of her!! BOOM!
Something no one has seemed to consider is that Samus might now be seen as a threat to the Federation. What if going forward they play an antagonistic role in the series?
They kinda already did starting with fusion. Though I've always seen as having a corrupt inner circle while the outer GFS Fleets shown in the prime games are a bit separated from all that and more focused on dealing with practicle threats like the space pirates. A galactic Civil War could make for an interesting setting, though hard to say if it would fit the aesthetic for a 2d metroid game.
A Fusion remake would actually be nice. Mercury Steam originally approached Nintendo with the idea of remaking Fusion before being hired to remake Return of Samus, so it would be weirdly poetic for their Metroid journey to come full circle like that.
It didn't happened because Sakamoto thinks Fusion is already a modern game, doubt he'll change his mind so soon. Also don't see a Super remake too, as he think it's the serie's magnus opus.
I really hope they remaster fusion. Super can stay as is, its presentation and mechanics are still being dug into and enjoyed. Fusion though has early game pacing issues and a lot of clunky mechanics. The bosses are all boring, repetitive, and way too punishing, and I'd love to see what Fluid Samus with 360 Aiming does against a new and improved R.O.B or Nightmare. SA-X was also really limited by the GBA's mechanics, and it would benefit from a remake more than anything in Super.

IT could be a sequel. But it also could be a Remake of Metroid 4. Mercury did want to make that first, so there's that chance. I dunno what direction a sequel could go, but maybe starring a new threat to the galaxy with a new Space Pirates, and of course, I would love to see more Chozo tribes, I'm sure there's more than just Mawkin and the Toha. Since the Chozo were the most advanced in the galaxy, I would really want to see more about them too. But mostly, I think Samus becoming a Metroid and essentially learning how to control that is a point that need to be talked about. However, the sole reason her Metroid DNA became unstable was because as a Safety measure, Metrois were programed by the Toha to see Mawkin as enemies, so only the Toha could control them, and that triggered Samus DNA to go haywire. Unless there's more natural enemies of the Metroid species to trigger another meltdown in her DNA, I doubt it would go out of the charts again. Either way, I just hope they do a good story, even if they decide to add Prime storylines to the 2D ones, I wouldn't mind that much. Maybe the Metroids weren't just artificially created things but actually they came from another species from another galaxy, and finding that new old species could lead to problems to the Galaxy Federation again, there's a lot of things that could be done as long as they do it right.
How about Samus somehow gets her metroid DNA sucked out of her (and at the same time losing all her abilities as she does at the start of every game) and utilized by an enemy to start creating new metroids again. Kind of like how the federation was secretly breeding them in metroid fusion, although do it successfully. Have them actually be released all over the galaxy then they can be in every game henceforth without too much issues for explanation. Have a friggen battle with an omega metroid in Metroid Prime 4. I think the Exelion Star Corporation will play a major role. This is my theory: - Metroid Prime 4 will introduce Exelion and its CEO. - As a MP4 secret ending, the CEO receives a Metroid from the one stolen from the Federation (secret ending from Metroid Federation Force) - Metroid Dread 2 then centers around Samus being tasked by the Federation (or Samus picks up a distress signal) to go to Exelion HQ. There she fights drones in the design of Metroids, a regrown Crocomire (or a "security robot" version of it), the CEO, an experimented non-asexual Metroid Queen and a flying Metroid King.
Well if there is a sequel to Metroid dread then I believe it should expanded on her conflict with the galactic federation after she destroyed both of their station and sr388 against their orders I would love to see the conflict in consequences when disobeying orders And it wouldn't make sense to go back to Metroid since it was already officially stated by Sakamoto that Metroid dread was the last entry of the Metroid chapter and that if they're going to make a new entry it wouldn't be about metroid's anymore and it wouldn't make sense for samus to lose control her DNA since she has chozo DNA within her that gives her the ability to control it. I guess you're not paying attention to the story apparently and it would make sense and as for story-wise since Metroid dread ends the Metroid Saga and it's the final entry of the Metroid Saga it will be about something else.
They need to go backwards. Dread was dreadful and it needed to be. The colors were very grey and edgy and the scenes were fairly mechanical. The music also followed Fusion's atmospheric design. Now we need something more like Super, which is more colorful, happy, and the tunes are more bangin'.

Not really, they revealed that Metroid means "Ultimate Warrior" in Chozo language around the time of Zero Mission. In the manga Mother Brain also stated they raised Samus to be the Ultimate Warrior too, Dread only closed all that.

I definitely had to spend time learning the patterns of a few of the bosses. I think the hardest thing, though, were the couple of times I thought I was trapped.
Game was really easy once you figured out the bosses pattern. I’ve never played a game where it went from feeling impossible to being too easy. A fault with the game I reckon.

Zero mission is what introduces Metroid to my life. Fusion is what made me a fan. Dread was a warm-hearted fan service.

We will always want more. If Metroid 6 eventually releases, we'll want 7 (remakes too) and so on. I never want it to end.

@@zeltroid To be fair, Metroid wasn't a big seller, specially the 2D games, so Nintendo simply put the team to do something else. They needed an external studio (MercurySteam) to pitch a game to be convinced to make another one.
I think it would be a remake, like Super ir Fusion, but as well can be a sequel, wonder what Metroid 6 will be
