    I just used self tapping screws after having issues with the first hole I drilled.

      I was thinking of doing that..... would you still recommend using tech screws?

    Did you have any issues with the subwoofer? I've been looking for a table like this but don't want problems with the speaker.

    Drill size 8.5mm is incorrect, use 9mm.

    What rivet tool did you use.

    Very helpful. Bought a tailgate table from Rough Country. Their manual insists you drill holes bigger than the hardware that came with the unit. What a headache. Also didn't realize the ease of a rivet gun. Can I ask what size nut inserts you have???

    • @Jeeptv
      @Jeeptv  3 года назад

      I’m Not sure what size they were. It was what ever came with the tailgate table.

    5mm rivet nut? Gonna skip buying the tool and use a cheap hack of bolt nut and some steel with a hole to fit the nuts...

    • @budjiman1
      @budjiman1 2 года назад

      How do you do that?

      @@budjiman1 there's some videos about it... Works well once you get it right.

      @@AvengerIl i found some. Seems straight forward. I didnt understand it at 1st but i get it now. Thanks for the heads up. I didnt think to look for a hack.

      @@budjiman1 yeah np. Trick is the metal piece with a hole that stops the nut from spinning has to be strong.. not soft thin metal.. a washer that fits tight and is itself rigid helps too for a nice finish... Otherwise the rivnut will come out deformed around the edges of the bolt..
