I was at the game today against Tampa. Brock looked the part of the starting QB. His footwork, going through his progressions--the moment wasn't big for him. Kudos to Larry Krueger from the Krueg Show podcast for catching on to this guy early in the preseason when Niners beat writers kept writing him off as nothing more than a camp arm or practice squad player.

Just goes to prove that even the last person picked in the NFL draft has an opportunity to play if they believe in themselves and are prepared when his opportunity arises. Brock's story is inspirational. I couldn't be more surprised and happy for the young man. Remember it is never over until it is over.

Brock went into his senior year state title game vs Chandler (AZ) High with no firm D1 offers, even...just some talk. He was nails in that game, taking hit after hit and delivering in a 7 pt loss at Arizona Stadium (49-42) that was one of the most entertaining games, at any level, that I have seen. The ISU offer came quickly, and then there he is, starting as a Freshman. Rinse and repeat, Brock now starts as a rookie. I don't know him personally, but the kid is just nails, and everything I have heard around his high school career supports that he is a natural born leader
I am going to the game tomorrow. 49ers - Cowboys playoffs ... It means a lot to me to see Brock Purdy play live in his rookie year. I 'm sure I'll cry like his dad. What a story. We are seeing something very special unfold here with this young man.

Im here after the Raiders game on Sunday. Brock is what we have been looking for for a LOOOOOOOONG time. He played a GAME on Sunday vs the Raiders and there were many times that I knew, had it been Jimmy or Lance, we would have settled for ties during the game or not have gotten that TD or even made a great throw... but ive never felt more confident that with Brock, we CAN get that TD. This guy is a Montana in the making. Brock Cool... Now, lets get a SB win babyyyyyy!!!

Niners after more than almost 20 years may have finally found their QB... I mean this guy is miles better than Trey.
I'm rooting for Lance, but just based on what I've seen from him so far (I've watched all of his games), he has a long way to go to become a legit NFL starter. He obviously has a much stronger arm than Purdy, but his decision-making and accuracy are not up to NFL standards at this point. It might be due to inexperience, or perhaps he's just 1 or 2 steps too mentally slow and lacking some field vision to be a successful starter. Note that mentally slow as a NFL starter doesn't mean he's dumb; it's just that the pro game requires a quarterback to process things faster than 99.9% of average Joe's like myself, which is why there's only maybe 6-10 elite QB's at any given time in the world playing in the NFL.
The kids a class act, so much potential, all he has to do is keep a well oiled machine running and he will be fine ⛏️⛏️⛏️💪🏻💪🏻

Both are amazing in their own ways. Kurt had to spend time on the bench and play in Europe before he shone on the Rams. Purdy is looking like he may be just as good, but as a rookie!

Been dreaming of this moment since the preseason. Everything I saw in the preseason, he showed the NFL finally. Been wanting him as QB1 since then, feels so great to see it actually happen. Hell, I even thought he looked good in that 1 drive against the Chiefs even when my fellow fans were roasting him for the INT (Jennings could've caught it, he's talented enough)
Interesting how Brock Purdy vs Trevor Lawrence in the SF 49ers vs Jacksonville Jaguars game on 11/12/2023 Brock Purdy's passer rating was 100.1 higher than Trevor's, at 148.9 vs 48.8, and to top it off in the 2021 draft, Trevor Lawrence was the first #1 pick in the draft, while Brock Purdy was the very last pick in the draft as Mr. Irrelevant. Amazing, am so proud of Brock Purdy as a 49er QB. TY

I have heard lots of hate comments being told by many media experts & retired players against Purdy. But I have seen him playing well, he has been able to run this offensive system at least better than Jimmy G and Tray Lance. I am happy for Brock, he will do well in the big game.

@@rsxfreak79 No shade just saying; playing against an unknown is different from when they know your tendencies. Never saw him hold the linebacker to throw a seam pass at Iowa so maybe good coaching and his intelligence Plus Bucs were flat and I agree with Rex Ryan they looked slow. You know on any given Sunday; even the Houston Texans looked great for one day.
The hardest thing is to push past that name of Mr. Irrelevant. Kurt Warner and Jeff Garcia both were UNDRAFTED, which is below the ranking of "Mr. Irrelevant". Belief is more important than anything else.
And he is a Gilbert Arizona native. That is way too cool.
