- We first heard about the Tanglooma Wrecks on Moreton Island from a friend, who said that if we wanted to check out the best island destination close to Brisbane, we should head out there for a mini-adventure. Taking him at his word, we booked a last-minute trip to Moreton Island to stay at Tanglooma Resort and left Marlee on the mainland.
This beautiful island is only a short ferry ride from Brisbane, and is best known for the Tangalooma Wrecks, a series of 15 shipwrecks that were sunk many years ago to form a breakwater and safe anchorage for sailboats. These days it's also an epic place to go snorkelling and diving!
We spent our days lounging around the white-sand beaches, snorkelling the crystal clear waters and getting some unreal drone footage of the Tangalooma Wrecks.

Moreton certainly is amazing the the camping areas and Ocean side side is just stunning and the sunrise and sunsets are just spectacular stay safe cheers.

Love it there I’ve been twice I also recommend feeding the wild dolphins 🐬 surprising my partner who has never been for our honeymoon in November and after seeing this the wrecks are a must

Nice drone shots and underwater shots. Is there plenty of things to do in Tangalooma apart from Snorkelling? I’m thinking whether I’ll stay 1 or 2 nights there.
