Showing you the most common place a Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883 leaks oil and how easy it is to fix and change the oil. It’s usually the oil drain hose and it’s the lower hose on the right side right next to the belt.

That hose looks like it goes into my engine/transmission?
Mine leaks from top oil cap. It has a good oring and the oil level is on the low side. and it leaks bad. Any suggestions
Check the hoses are not dry rotted or damaged. Just chase down the leak.
Are you checking the level after going for a ride? If you check it cold it will look low, then when it’s hot all the oil will get pumped back into the tank. If it’s got too much oil it will come out of the top cap.
The clamp is too tight to fit on the nipple on mine. I guess I got the wrong size
Possible wrong size but get an adjustable one.
On this video you never show how you installed the clamp on the hose and compressed?
Sorry about that, I may I have just assumed the clamp was self explanatory but you can use the factory HD clamps or just get cheaper small bolt style clamps to hold the hose on.

@@DieselLegiance my apologies for being vague. Could this type of oil leak cause the engine to cut off mid riding.
If the oil goes low enough, yes, but at that point you could seize the engine which is very bad. So, if you suspect an oil leak, make sure you fix it asap.
