When you start the car with start button u have to push the break or you enter other mode where u can’t drive . So feet on the break push start button then keep pressing break put gear. This way u can start driving in less than 2 sec
Pushing the brake and start button to turn it on is much safer if you have children in the car. No way should you be able to just push the button or turn the drive select to allow movement.
That's exactly how it works in my EV6. Foot on brake, press power, select drive. If you press power, without pressing brake then it powers on the accessories & computer. It gets a bit confusing at this point, which is what I think happened here. You never need to press the brake release, as that's done automatically when you select drive.
@@StuartJ I just think that the start button is unnecessary on an EV. As soon as you enter the car with the key in you the computer should turn on. Then, when you press on the brake the car should be ready to select the drive mode
@@Battery-Powered totally agree, start button makes zero sense at all in an EV. There is no engine that needs to be started. The safety feature is the brake pedal before choosing drive mode (and not a senseless start button). But even then you have the auto hold feature, so no movement before pushing the drive pedal.
Indeed brilliant design outside. Inside, just as boring as many others with too many buttons and wasted space. Boot sides pure plastic? Kinda disappointing what you get for starting price. Extras quite expensive. Design outside great, but the whole package is average though.
There is room for improvement indeed ! But KIA/Hyundai has improved their design and reliability so much for the last 10 years. I don’t think another car maker has make such an improvement
According to the manual you have to press the brake pedal in order to select the gear.
I did
Beautiful green paint and I have a gray ev6 and I don’t have heated seats in the rear But it’s a beautiful car
I 100% agree!

I just think that the start button is not really necessary in EV’s
