Great review! Question on the DSC track mode. Does this feature mean that you will not be able to drift with the ND3? Is it possible to turn off the stabilizing feature 100%?
Thank you! So the DSC track mode allows the car to slide more than the standard drive mode but does not full defeat it, but there is also a regular traction control button to turn it off
@@jalopy_jeff I appreciate the clarification. On July 2, I ordered a 2024 RF, it is supposed to arrive this week. I was concerned that the traction control would not be able to be turned off. I don't intend to drift it, but it is good to know it can be.
I want to buy a 1.5 ND2 or 1.5 ND3 I know the upgrades on the ND3, espacially on the rear preventing from oversteering on the entry and understearing on the exit. But is it really noticable on a 1.5 or is it only noticable on the 2.0 ? Because the 1.5 has an open differential and 2.0 a closed differencial right ? So maybe the upgrades are only for closed differencial ?
Here in the states we don’t have the 1.5 option, all of the cars are equipped with the 2.0 liter. I’m not sure how some of the options for the limited slip differential change with the 1.5
Yeah, me too. You look comfortable inside with the top up. You seem like you have enough leg room, but I guess anyone taller would have trouble fitting into this thing.
Really good review, thanks for making it.
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to check it out!
thanks for pointing out the sport does not have wireless carplay. i seen alot of nd3 reviews but no one really pointed that out
Yeah Mazda keeps a lot of the “would be nice” features away from the sport unfortunately
Club with the sport package !
Plus the GT’s got an additional panel on the ragtop for added wind-buffering.
Jeff why are you reviewing the 2024 MX-5 Miata now when the 2025 is just about to come out???
Because I just got it for a week from Mazda
Excellent walkthrough!
Thanks!

I think you could fit taller people, Mazda made great use of the space! I think the NC can fit taller people, but the ND is pretty accommodating
