The Hu are outstanding live. I saw them open for Halestorm last fall.
Yep, they sing in Mongolian with the throat singing.
The 2 string being played with a bow is a Morin Khuur, and the 3 string that is played like a guitar ,is a Tovshuur.
4 main members and 4 touring players. Gala and Enkush on Morin Khuur and throat singing , Jaya lead throat singer ,tsuur (end blown flute) and tumur hhuur(jaw harp), Temka on Tovshuur. Touring members: Ono percussion, Jamba on guitar, Davaa on bass, and Odko on drums.
This is one of 3 songs that they redid with new English lyrics and guest vocalists. The other 2 are Yuvu Yuve Yu with Danny Case (From Ashes to New) and Song of Women with Lzzy Hale( Halestorm).

The Hu's cover of Metallica's Sad But True is well worth a watch. The music video is pretty epic.

You are absolutely right when you say that bringing someone the audience already knows helps to introduce new bands to us (the audience).
It happened to me with all the singers who play in Ayreon, Avantasia, and really most european bands, as they do so many collaborations 🤔
And about The Hu: their sound is awesome, it blew my mind the first time and this different version is very good too 👀

Personally I prefer the original version, with just the band members.

Ok, from The Gereg try “Yuve yuve yu”. Also, if you liked this?, try the band Heilung. Something from “Lifa”, a live performance. “Kriegsgaldr” or “In Maidjan”. Heilung is to the Nordic/Germanic ancient culture as The Hu is to Mongolia. You will be happy.

The fan base are just HUmans. You might want to add a category of rock though since these guys main instruments aren't guitars, so no guitar solo. It's called Hunnu Rock. They're the ONLY ones in this category. Hu, itself, is a prefix for the Mongolian word for human. One of the reasons they're not bigger is they've only been putting songs out for three years and got interrupted on their first tour by the 19. Great reaction !

OH yes please go to their initial video. The cinematography is INCREDIBLE, the video or one of them does have English subtitles at the bottom showing what it is they are singing, I'll leave a link to it. All of their videos are beautiful with the way it was filmed and scenery. It's cool because they start out on a horse like their ancestor did (Genghis Khan) followed by the current Mongolians now riding the steal horse being the motorcycle. It's a group of bikers I would not want to run into, definitely would want to stay on their good side..lol It's an awesome video, I hope you take a moment to check it out. ruclips.net/video/2oSuIEKbQNw/видео.html

Spent my day watching 50+ wolf totem reaction vids. Many things to learn from a neurology & endocrinology viewpoint. A dogs-balls standout is dicotamy from male to female; men want to fight, women want to f~~k. Women also had the greater physical response.

I understand that for the US market it needs some English sung texts. And Jacoby did an incredibly great job with that, all in style with the song itself. However, I do prefer the original (without Jacoby), which also has an awesome video. ruclips.net/video/jM8dCGIm6yc/видео.html

Yeah, The Hu are awesome. Definitely check out their original works, Yuve Yuve Yu, DJinghis Khan and the original wolf totem. They got several high awards from their nation for promoting Mongol culture. A lot of their songs are about that by the way, how mongol culture went down the drain and how more of their people should remember their origins. They also have a particular moving collab with Jennifer Hale of Halestorm. They opened for Sabaton for a while, which made for a hell of a combination :-). Talking about sabaton: i really would love to see you do the animated video for "no bullets fly". I think you would enjoy that one.
