A delightful guest. Thank you both for coming and enriching our culture. Hope you stay and someday feel like you’re home. Salutes from a diaspora Armenian.
Thank you for nice interview. Good luck to you in your future. Armenia will bloom and get better, if more young people, international students see it as attractive place to study. Warmest wishes and lots of love to the Philippines❤
Congratulations to Audrey! There was a foreign valedictorian in AUA before, class of 2015. See the excerpt from the press release This year’s ceremony also featured three valedictorian speeches. The Armenian address was given by Varduhi Movsisyan, the English address by Klariss Tahmassian-Kabakian (both from the MA TEFL program), and the third address was given at the Provost’s invitation by Balu Vignesh Thavidu Rajan (MBA/MPH), who opened his speech by reciting famous Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak’s poem ‘Mor Dzerkere’ in Armenian. Addressing his fellow peers, Rajan stated, “Just like the founders of the American University of Armenia, our dream is to continuously build this university through the hard work of graduating students as well as of our fellow alumni. I ask that all the graduates raise their hands and give a promise that we all build this dream.”
What an inspiring valedictoria ! And what a great, insightful interviewer! So neat to see that Armenia can attract such bright young women, and give them the space to flourish, to cultivate their natural intelligence and humanity. Loved what you discussed. All the best in your respe tive paths.
What is the point of American University of Armenia?! The degree programs in that school are money-making Ponzi diplomas. The world needs mathematicians, physicists, not MBAs who are a dime a dozen around the world. AUA is not Moscow State or FizTech, why does CivilNet advertise AUA, when it is not up to par to the educational standards of soviet Armenian families? Whom are you trying to fool?!
@@Paulmark18 This segment is nothing, but an advertising for AUA. I would like to see interviews with Armenian student physicists, this is what I would like to see. This is Armenian scholastic heritage: physics, astrophysics, mathematics.
AUA has degrees that are not Business related, right ? (Including degrees that the world so much needs) How is this an advertisement, when the university was never the main point ? And all the universities in Armenia have major problems and have poor performance in the international rankings.
I think the point here is to promote the school and Armenia as attractive place to study for international students. Otherwise, I totally agree with you. It would be better if Armenian institutions could provide outstanding education, up to modern standards , and bring up young talents, but not just be a nice sounding name.
I do not know enough about this university but she was not talking about the university. I think you may know more than we do why don’t you share. I believe this young lady is out of blame. Actually was very entertaining to see how Armenia evolved since we left.
Очевидно эти наивные девушки не знают о зверствах армян против Азербайджанцев.Они даже не знают что с 90-х до 2020-го года Армения оккупировала Азербайджанские земли. Бедные студентки.
