  • In Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has noted an increase in the number of young people and adolescents seeking medical care and psychosocial support in Mbare due to the consequences of substance and drug use in recent years.
In collaboration with multiple partners, MSF has provided mental health and psycho-social support to young people and adolescents in Mbare and Epworth communities.
The young people in need are referred to the adolescent' clinics primarily by MSF peer educators who work in the communities and provide information about the services MSF offers.
Our services include preventive and curative medical care, sexual and reproductive health services, global health information, mental health, psycho-social care, community outreach, and individual and family support sessions.
A substance user living in the bushes of Harare shares her experiences with the MSF outreach team.
