    Great explanation, as a disabled person without much leg strength, I’m learning to swim properly as recommended by doctor. You are a great swim coach, I think swimming is a great equalizer for disabled people but requires good instructors to teach proper technique.

    Your videos are the best. So much detailed explanation. Especially good for beginners. You really understand beginner’s fear of water, fear of drowning. No one else on RUclips talked about getting used to have water in your mouth. I stand up every time when any water goes into my mouth when I practice in shallow water. It’s a reflex. Next time, I’m going to train myself starting with breathing with a quarter of my mouth in the water.

    I'm constantly watching swimming RUclipss and trying to up my game. Doing laps 5-6 hours a week.
    My big takeaway from this video: Exhale EVERYTHING 100% before breathing in. I think I was probably exhaling 75-80%. Thanks. Will breathe out ALL the C02 before taking next breath. Great video !!! 😃😃😃

I can comfortably swim breaststroke (played national tournament), butterfly, and backstroke but can't swim more than 4 strokes of freestyle (feel fatigue). how do we prevent water from coming into our ears during side breathing if we don't have cap or ear plug or any other means?

    • @peterkung6793
      @peterkung6793 6 лет назад

      Ear plugs are available in shops selling safety device for construction workers. There are different models originally designed to protect our ears from noise. The one made of solid plastic with a flexible plastic string connecting both plugs is most suitable. I have not try those made of foam. I think foam could absorb water & usually does not have string connecting the plugs, difficult to find if you drop it on the floor or in the water.
