The scriptures which was revealed earlier was given to that time for that people, and finally when it was the correct time to reveal the last and final revelation that will be there until the day of judgement for whole of humanity, Allah revealed it to prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him).
Allah did not cancel out all the earlier revelations, he either keeps it or advances it or removes it whichever is best for the people, if you go and check the bible and the torah there are verses which are similar to the Quran, we Muslims alhamdulillah follow them, don't know if those people follow it.
Do you think that people had same tolerance, thinking and mindset thousands of years ago?
That's why the previous revelations were either kept, advanced or removed by Allah, and made the The Quran the final Book until the Day of Judgement for the whole of humanity.

OK explanation, but it has a flaw. a Muslim must never say that only the last ayat made alcohol HARAAM. as every single ayat before the last said indirectly that alcohol is haraam. plz read them again with understanding an ul see. also, wats dangerous about saying alcohol was "halaal" before the last ayat of the Quran on the subject, is that in the previous scriptures the information of alcohol was already made Haraam by Allah. in proverbs suliman said. .. "wine is a mocker & strong drink is raging, so the wise must stay away from it". so when a Muslim says... alcohol was made Haraam only at the last verse in the Quran, a Christian can say... well our jahova is wiser that ur Allah because he already made alcohol haraam 2000 years before ur Allah. naozubillah. wat we must understand is Allah had Already pronounced on this, but because the ppl fell back into missguidance & corrupted most of the book Allah sent the last book wit the wisdom of not just "do this" or "don't to that" but with a rehabilitative nature. so every verse pointed towards alcohol being haraam & the last verse said plainly it is forbidden. just think... a man loves a woman, she tells him that in alcohol the harm outways the benefit then she tells him dont come to look for me if u drink. if the man is sincere & really loves & understands her he will want to stop drinking as he will want to see her all the time. also, if alcohol was halaal before the last ayat why didn't the prophet himself drink?? those who was waiting on a last & final ayat could have just looked an saw that muhammad pbuh in his dignified way never drank alcohol. but ppl always need a "clear/direct word" & would make excuses in not reflecting on the early ayats to so as to hide behind vails of ignorance. but Allah wanted them to think for themselves & parables is the best way to develop a sound mind. imaam ibrahiym ghany from trinidad.

There is no abrogation in Quran.

    • @tomfielding7851
      @tomfielding7851 9 лет назад

swiftspy Calling abrogation clarification (no matter how different 2 verses may be) does not solve the matter. It is just blindly accepting you guru's teaching. If a new law comes telling you to pursue and even destroy someone comes along it does not just clarify an earlier one telling you to, "live at peace with and even defer to the teachings" of that someone, it annuls the previous law - which in legal terms is to 'Abrogate' it. Please do not just accept the excuse saying this is clarification no matter how different the outcomes are - The eternal God does not change His mind between Mecca and Medina.

If all that you say he is true Dr. Zakir Naik then with due respect let me point out some seemingly inconsistent parts.
    1.S 2: 256 talks of no compulsion in religion......but
    2. S 9:5 talks of "kill the polytheists....sit and wait in ambush....
    3. S9:73 talks of Fighting disbelievers.
Compare these with surah 2:256 and you will see abrogation. If the text was handed down then how is it that one part talks of freedom of religion and the other talks of killing and fighting?
These are just a few of the direct contradictions in SENSE and so they are contradictions in fact.
Now look to your respectful Imam Ibn Bez and see what he frankly and truthfully stated about abrogation without mincing his words. Please see it for yourself.
The searching masses look to you and some others for a truthful explanation and they are often disappointed because of your familiar use of Taqyiyyah (lying in the defence of the religion) Nobody wants lies. They are in search of the truth.
In any event why should we lie to defend a truth?

So there is no contradiction in the Qur'an because the Qur'an says so, and that must be true because it says it is the clear truth, and that must be so since otherwise there would be a contradiction, but that's impossible as it says there is no contradiction.
Muslims, Naik's brain is wired in circles. The above is called circular reasoning and that's accepted only by idiots.
There are lots of clear contradictions in the Qur'an, which is why Muhammad stuck in the 2:106 verse that insults all but an idiot's intelligence. Hence, Q 4:82 says in effect that the book you are reading surly is not from Allah (unless you accept circular reasoning).

no verse of the Quran is abrogated but the Quran abrogated the previous books. the Quran has a rehabilitative nature & gradually reforms as an egg hatches into a caterpillar then to a cocoon then a butterfly. such is the wisdom of Allah. with humans a person who became a butterfly can fall back to a caterpillar as faith sometimes raises and falls. the rehabilitative nature of the Quran caters for fluctuations of faith.

abrogation has to do with canceling of previous was revealed and replacing of it with new one...so it has not to do with contradiction ....it has to do with reliability of the given revelation - action ....reliability is not reached

i differ zakir naik here for defending Rajam (Stone to Death ) a fabricated Hadith !!
    1. Exemplary Verses are not relevant to Abrogation at all .
    2. Abrogation mean simply revealing something Better or Similar to its previous verse . OR more refined and simplified or in detail as compare to the previous verse.
    3. word Nasakh / Abrogate is described in Quran only once in 2:106
    4. actual issue was "Ra'ina "
2:104 "O you who believe! Say not (to the Messenger Peace be upon him ) Ra'ina but say Unzurna (Do make us understand) and hear. And for the disbelievers there is a painful torment.
whereas in 4:46 Allah describes same issue but says " it would have been better for them not to Utter " Ra'ina" . verse 2:104 is more Better , Simplified and Direct prohibition Order of NOT UTTERING the word "Ra'ina"
4:46 "Among those who are Jews, there are some who displace words from (their) right places and say: "We hear your word (O Muhammad SAW ) and disobey," and "Hear and let you (O Muhammad SAW) hear nothing." And Ra'ina with a twist of their tongues and as a mockery of the religion (Islam). And if only they had said: "We hear and obey", and "Do make us understand," it would have been better for them, and more proper, but Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not except a few.
Conclusion : verse 4:46 is abrogated by more simplified and direct order of prohibition in verse 2:104. whereas 2:106 is simply describes such methodology of abrogation.
Rajam / Stone to death is not the part of Quran also Rajam ahadit contradicts with the Quran clearly.
punishment for fornicator is 100 lashes , married or unmarried is neither described nor its issue of Quran.
    1. Quran simply says 100 lashes for fornicator 24:2
Mullah always interprets Quran in the light of hadith , Zakir is doing same thing , he is defending Stone to death hadith therefore changing the meaning of Quran.
    2. just in next verse 24:3 Quran says " Fornicator does not marry except fornicator or polytheist....." by common sense , if a fornicator is no more on earth , who this decree is revealed for ?!! ... fornicator does not marry ... " simply mean he is alive , he is not dead , he or she is not punished stone to death.
    3. punishment for married slave women is half then free married women 4:25 [ Pickthal , Yusuf Ali , Shakir , Dr. Ghali translations ] , Now what would be the half punishment of STONE TO DEATH ???!!!
Analyzing Immorality and Fornication in QURAN !
17:32 "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way."
in 17:32 Fahasha/Immorality is described in General in which zina/Fornication is also included BUT Quran specifically separates the Zina/Fornication from Fahasha/immorality when it implements the Penalty/punishments.
Since Allah is Most Just , He describes the punishment according to the level of crime.
4:15-4:35 : a. confine them in houses, b. if Allah gives them another chance to live normal life dont confine them. c. refuse to share their beds, d.beat them (lightly), e.but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance).
Conclusion: Nothing is Abrogated regarding to the Punishments of Fahasha/Immorality and Zina/fornication.
May Allah bless us Hidayat to follow QURAN , Ameen !

+Abdullah Haq No there is another verse : 16:101 confirms there is abrogation in the koran .. it says there is abrogation because allah know best and calls us ignorant ! ... how can you take this stuff seriously ? .. there are other religions you could try

    • @abdullahhaq3829
      @abdullahhaq3829 8 лет назад

+Ade Fegan Brother there is no compulsion in ISLAM , if you want to practice another religion you can no problem at all :) , its upto you which path do you choose !
there are only two kinds of Abrogation in Quran
      1. Verse of Quran Abrogates another verse of Quran , e.g 2:104 abrogates the verse 4:46.
Note: both verse are present there in the Quran. Allah does not Delete the verse from Quran at all.
      2. Verse of Quran Abrogates another verse of Previous Book .
in this regard verse 16:101 says
"And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, " You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]."But most of them do not know."
      Abrogated verse of previous book
6:146 "And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of undivided hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.
      Leviticus 11:4
".....The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you."
      Leviticus 7:22-27
The Lord said to Moses,“Say to the Israelites: ‘Do not eat any of the fat of cattle, sheep or goats.
Now read the verse which abrogates the 6:146
16:115 "He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Allah does not call you ignorant , Allah says "..but most of them don't know "
why do you count yourself among those who dont know :)
May Allah bless us Peace ! Ameen !

If the Quran is the eternal truth of Allah, then why does he need to substitute something with something "better?" This is idiotic babbling.

    • @yohannbiimu
      @yohannbiimu 9 лет назад +2

***** how can something that is "eternally true," and was supposedly existing WITH Allah for all eternity be contextual? The "truth" of the Quran shouldn't be circumstantial, if it is what HAS existed for all eternity.
Here is what actually happened with the evolution of the Quran, since its doctrines CHANGE from one time to another. It is known which verses were "revealed" in Mecca, from those which were "given" in Medina, and the message clearly changes FROM one of tolerance and respect for "disbelievers," to one of intolerance and utter disdain after his move to Medina.
This can be illustrated in numerous instances, such as a Muslim's attitude towards those who "disbelieve." Verses 23:117 and 98:6 say that unbelievers will not prosper and are the worst of creatures. Verse 9:29 also asks believers to fight those who do not believe in Allah, the Last Day, His rules and His religion of truth. But verse 45:14 says otherwise:
"Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not hope for the Days of Allah; It is for Him to recompense (for good or evil) each people according to what they have earned"
      Also:
Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good. 16:128
And, what about the Muslim's attitude towards Jews and Christians?
We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them. 3:84
This was obviously given for a certain "circumstance," and yet, it is completely contradicted by this:
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled. 9:29
(Is it not interesting that this verse suggests that Allah made certain things unlawful ALONG WITH "His Messenger." Is that not SHIRK? Is not "His Messenger" (Muhammad) a partner with Allah here?)
Clearly, there are verses in the Quran which make moot of others, because of obvious contradiction--which made abrogation (because Allah is all-powerful, and can make something MORE true than something that he "revealed" earlier--even though BOTH are "eternally true") necessary.

Phillip Taalib Williams So says ONE MAN. You call him a "prophet," and you believe that he is, because he said so, and also, it says so in a document that came from the SAME MAN'S MIND. Really, it's the witness of ONE MAN, and the nimrods who believed in that one man. If the case you state were to be taken to a court of law (not a shariah court), it would be thrown out for lack of evidence.

This man is just refusing to accept the obvious. If one verse says 'live in peace with the people of the book' and another verse says 'pursue them and destroy them' there is a plain contradiction. Does God really say live in peace with them until you're strong enough to murder them and then it is okay to wage war as you like? Is that God speaking or is it a man who can't be trusted?
It is interest to note however that this speaker talks not about alcohol alone in the beginning but about all intoxicants - but we find Islamic communities that would attack people for making alcohol but seem fine with others producing heroine, etc.

Fight them until faithlessness1 is no more, and religion becomes [exclusively] for Allah. Then if they relinquish, there shall be no reprisal except against the wrongdoers.
      193

      Read those verses again.
      2:234
And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - they, [the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days]. And when they have fulfilled their term, then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable manner. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do.
      2:240
And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind - for their wives is a bequest: maintenance for one year without turning [them] out. But if they leave [of their own accord], then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable way. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
      Explanation:
234 verse explains iddah period. For which a women doesn't necessarily need to be in her late or ex husband's house..
Verse 240 applies only to a woman whose husband died. But before dying he allowed woman to stay in his home for 1 year i.e. in a wasiyat or death note.

The iddah is a waiting period that a Muslim woman observes after the death of her husband or after a divorce. After iddah period, a women is free to marry any other man. In case of divorce,it is about 3 months( Quran 2:228). In case of husband's death it is 4 months 10 days( Quran 2:234). The 1 year in verse 2:240 is not iddah period. It is related to inheritance (another topic). That's why i shared with you the article for your better understanding.
If you want to learn anything about the Quran, you should refer to a Tafseer Book as well as Translation. There's a context behind every verse. To understand that context, you have to learn about when, where and in which circumstances the verse was revealed. Then you will be able to truly understand the meaning of Quran.

One of the video he can not see anything wrong in a man of 53 having sex with a girl of 6 years, as long as the girl and Muhammad agrees to the marriage. "Who are we to say No If the prophet and the young girl agrees"
So if a man is 70 years old and see a child of 4 years "Would you like to marry me" the naive and immature girl says " Yes" without realizing what a marriage is?
Dr. Zaik you are making a fool of yourself.

Ade Fegan if u do your research then u will know that he married aisha at 6 but he never touched her until her puberty. And its scientifically proved that women from that time specially in desert area used to reach puberty at early age. So do your research first.
And u r complaining, Aisha never complained about the Prophet. She is the one who praised him the most. So what's your problem?? Marriage that time like this was normal. So you dont problem with one boy and a girl who are not husband and wife having sex with each other, but u have a problem when a man marries a girl at early age. SHE WAS HIS WIFE.
she was an adult like i said. Do your research on PUBERTY MATE. If you are comparing this soceity with that one then u r the fool here. That time Women were BURRIED ALIVE...Get it??? If he didnt took the responsibilities of those then they would be dead. DO u even know that Muhammad (pbuh)'s wives were divorcees and widows?? Only Aisha was the one who was not a widow or a divorcee. As for the answer to your question about her age, In Islam it is said a girl can marry when she reaches maturity, when she reaches menstruation. In Country to country things like this differ. The reasons are climate, area, her food and lifestyle etc and other things. For example today in india, the girl should be 18 to get married, in america most of the state says 16, in texas the girl can marry in the age of 14. If u research history u will see even Roman Emperors married girls as young as 8, The minimum age for marriage in the US-State of Delaware in year 1880 was 7 . So Y 7 here??? Brother, it depends on the climate, area, growth etc. in islam u can marry a girl if she reaches adulthood. And then again use a common sense here. Mother Aisha never complained about the prophet, if he did injustice to her then she would be saying "oh my god, he's this and that..." but she is the one that praised him much, more than any other wives.

Islam is true? Muhammad declared that he was told this by the Angel Gabriel so obviously Mohamed was a false prophet since we absolutely know this is a false statement:

Zakir lying *Again*The Quran has been altered and has 7 versions:Stressing the perfection, flawlessness and unchanged, unaltered nature of the Quran is perhaps the single most important assertion for those engaging in ‘Da’wah’, or Islamic prosletysation. The problem is, it’s simply untrue.Of course if you are a believing Muslim you have to believe that the Angel Gabriel recited words directly from Allah into Muhammad’s ear and that the current form of the Quran is word for word the same as each word recited by Allah through the Angel Gabriel into Muhammad’s ear.The facts, of course, are different. The Quran has been altered. The Quran has been changed. There are multiple ways of demonstrating this, even through using primary Islamic religious texts:(1) Firstly it is important to remember that the Quran was never actually written down into any single book during Muhammad's life. It was always recited. (2) Even during the period before it was written down, there is some evidence that the Quran was changed by Muhammad himself. According to Ibn Ishaq, the earliest source on the life of Muhammad, there was an additional verse in Surah an-Najm that Muhammad later removed, saying that Satan had tricked him into believing it was from God. The verse is commonly referred to as verse 20.5, because it was supposed to fit between 20 and 21. It is also knowns as the "Satanic Verse" The verse went like this:19: Have ye thought upon Al-Lat and Al-‘Uzzá20: and Manāt, the third, the other?20.5: These are the exalted gharāniq, whose intercession is hoped for.Later Islamic scholars came to deny that this ever happened. But it seems to me that the reasoning behind denying the veracity of this event has nothing to do with scholarly skepticism and everything to do with the dangers of the theological repercussions of accepting the veracity of this. After all, if Satan had tricked Muhammad into believing that this verse was from God, then how can we be certain that all the other verses of the Quran are from God and not from Satan? Also the idea that Muhammad could be tricked by Satan, even for a short time, flies in the face of the notion that Muhammad is the perfect man. From a non-religious perspective, the acceptance of the three traditional Pagan Goddesses into Islam makes sense when Muhammad was weak and needed reconciliation with the Pagans, and the removal of this verse later when he was stronger and no longer needed their support makes a lot of sense, for that reason I do not doubt the veracity of the event so much.Of course when you bring this up in a discussion, it is likely to cause anger and outrage among some Muslims, who will often deny that this event occurred, and will even assert that Ibn Ishaq was a liar or something along those lines. This is often one of the major problems of trying to debate with some Muslims over the veracity of the Quran. Many will assert that the Quran has never been altered, and when proof from the earliest Islamic sources themselves is shown that plainly states that Muhammad himself altered parts of the Quran, those Muslims will often become outraged and refuse to discuss any further.(3) There are some Hadiths that claim that portions of the Quran are lost because the only written parts of it were eaten by a sheep or a goat (depending on translation):Reported ‘Aisha (RA):‘the verse of stoning and of suckling an adult ten times was revealed, and they were (written) on a paper and kept under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) expired and we were occupied by his death, a goat entered and ate away the paper.’ (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 1944) (Hasan)(4) There is a whole doctrine of Naskh, or "abrogation" in Islam. This is the notion that many verses in the Quran are lost and many others have been abrogated by later verses and should no longer be considered. According to Burton in the Encyclopaedia of Islam and the book "Islamic Theories of Abrogation", 564 verses were alleged to have been expunged from the mushaf (Quran), or 1/11th of its total content.(5) According to the traditional Islamic narrative, the Quran was standardized into a single, authorative text for the first time by Caliph Uthman about 30 years after Muhammad died. The way this was done was that Uthman collected all manuscripts of the Quran that had been written down by various people across the Empire, he then selected the "authentic" ones and burned all variant readings. Here is the Hadith in Bukhari that describes this:Bukhari: vol. 6, hadith 510, pp. 478-479; book 61Narrated Anas bin Malik:Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham and the people of Iraq were Waging war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Qur'an, so he said to 'Uthman, "O chief of the Believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Quran) as Jews and the Christians did before." So 'Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, "Send us the manuscripts of the Qur'an so that we may compile the Qur'anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you." Hafsa sent it to 'Uthman. 'Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, 'Abdullah bin AzZubair, Said bin Al-As and 'AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. 'Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, "In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Qur'an, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, the Qur'an was revealed in their tongue." They did so, and when they had written many copies, 'Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. 'Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. Said bin Thabit added, "A Verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Qur'an and I used to hear Allah's Apostle reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. (That Verse was): 'Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah.' (33.23)In total there were seven different versions of the Quran according to this Hadith:Al-Muwatta Hadith Hadith 15.5 About the Qur'anYahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr that Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abd al-Qari said that he had heard Umar ibn al-Khattab say, "I heard Hisham ibn Hakim ibn Hizam reciting Surat al-Furqan (Sura 25) differently from me, and it was the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who had recited it to me. I was about to rush up to him but I granted him a respite until he had finished his prayer. Then I grabbed him by his cloak and took him to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, 'Messenger of Allah, I heard this man reciting Surat al-Furqan differently from the way you recited it to me.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Let him go.' Then he said, 'Recite, Hisham,' and Hisham recited as I had heard him recite. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'It was sent down like that.' Then he said to me, 'Recite' and I recited the sura, and he said, 'It was sent down like that. This Qur'an was sent down in seven (different) ways, so recite from it whatever is easy for you .
