I was born to a Hindu parents and never ate non-vegetarian food. Then I immigrated to USA and began eating meat. After eating meat for 15 years, I suffered a heart attack. Thank God I survived the heart attack. I quit eating meat and I became a vegetarian again, today I am 80 years old and free of any and all disease.

First of all respect to brother sadhguru. I am very sad that today's non Muslims are trying so hard to keep you away from Islam. Secondly nowhere does the quran says that if you eat flesh of an animal the qualities of the animal will enter you. If you eat a bad animal such as dogs or cats then your brain will be affected. Sadhguru doesn't even know when prophet saw was born he was born 1500 years ago not 2000 years ago. I mean look this is how non Muslims are brain washing you and telling you to hate on Islam. I was once watching a video on Islam in the comments there was a person saying in Islam raping babies is allowed and he gave the surah number and ayat it was surah hajj I checked and I literally said that Allah will give easiness to the woman who is pregnant I mean I am Muslim I believe things if they are true so please hindi, Christian, Jewish brothers try to avoid listening to these so called gurus and check if the statement said is true or Not

Same here. I pushed myself even harder and now on almost all raw food diet or at best steamed, and it truly works. I need to eat only once a day, and my body with full of strength and muscles. Even sleep dropped to 6 hours.

Anyways, what does your list of nutrients even matter? I can make the case that our digestive tract is not a good shape or size for gathering those nutrients out of the meat, but if you don't feel the difference for yourself, then all of this discussion is *pointless*. I had all these goofball vegans try to convince me with arguments about our teeth, the suffering of the animals and so on. They just wasted their time and it did nothing to change my ways. When I started to get more involved in my own life and well-being, I was eventually led to the realization that it takes me days to digest meat and it is of no value for what I do. I have more than enough food and do not need to worry about starvation. I am not the leader of some primal militia and I am not a strongman. I am just a man who wants to be nimble, dynamic and vibrant. Meat simply does not support an elevated state of consciousness or any sort of gracious movements. Even for high-impact sporting, athletes will generally use beans, legumes, beets and maybe eggs to support their energy levels and muscles.

Even I heard from my grandparents that cows will identify if anybody suffering with illness in its owner house. Later when it goes to the nearby forest for feeding, it'll eat the medicinal leaves/grass and gives the milk.

I am not a vegetarian. But I can say that there are a lot of vegetarian food available which can be use as a substitute.

She never ate from anyone except from him. That day we were crying because how this divine creature was displaying heavenly love.

Rigveda (10/85/13) declares, “On the occasion of a girl’s marriage oxen and cows are slaughtered.”
Rigveda (6/17/1) states that “Indra used to eat the meat of cow, calf, horse and buffalo.”
Vashistha Dharmasutra (11/34) writes, “If a Brahmin refuses to eat the meat offered to him on the occasion of ‘Shraddha’ or worship, he goes to hell.”
Hinduism’s greatest propagator Swami Vivekanand said thus: “You will be surprised to know that according to ancient Hindu rites and rituals, a man cannot be a good Hindu who does not eat beef”. (The Complete Works of Swami Vivekanand, vol.3, p. 536).
Adi Shankaracharya’ commentary on Brihdaranyakopanishad 6/4/18 says : ‘Odan’ (rice) mixed with meat is called ‘Mansodan’. On being asked whose meat it should be, he answers ‘Uksha’. ‘Uksha’ is used for an ox, which is capable to produce semen.
· The book ‘The History and Culture of the Indian People’, published by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, Bombay and edited by renowned historian R.C.Majumdar (Vol.2, page 578) says: “this is said in the Mahabharat that King Rantidev used to kill two thousand other animals in addition to two thousand cows daily in order to give their meat in charity”.
It is mentioned in Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30
“The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad,
even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten
and some to be eater.”
c. Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says
“Eating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of

I’m not a vegetarian but the only meat I eat is fatty fish because they are the only source of omega 3 (epa and dha). Fish gives you all the B vitamins and other essential vitamins & minerals. Because fish is a meat, it’s also a complete protein. I just don’t find the reason to eat other meat when fish is the best and gives you everything that other meat don’t give you.

Forget Zakir Naik, there is no scholar in the present day who has gone through or mastered the whole scriptures of Sanatana Dharma. Manu Smriti is a guide book , not a religious one, though many ignorant Hindus consider it as divine. The Vedas which is propogated now is the Christian Missionary edited ones, to demonise Hinduism and downplay all dharmic traditions. A person who follows Dharma cannot be controlled or manipulated by others. They have intuitive skils to seperate myth from facts. Zakir Naik is a good Scholar in Quran. His knowledge of Vedas is equivalent to that of an ignorant Hindu. Only one who has a higher consciousness level can differentiate between fake and real ones. One who are on higher consciousness levels are seekers and they don't blindly follow any scriptures or identify with any particular religion.

i tried to be vegeterian, and i'm doung running and some strenght training, but i do have IBS, so i'm following low fodmap diet, so i failed using veg diet, cause i cant digest fruits and legumes, i digest meats very well, so for my experience, its not about sadhguru or zaker, every one should listen to his body.

Amazingly the issue is not only on eating meat but can we eat both, as our experience shows no one has an appetite to consume meat only(one type of food) without interruption in his lifetime but mixes with veges( other).
