I've been paying taxes when I was 17 only and I did donate many trees to friends, students, relatives and got many certificates that I have downloaded, kept like a proud man. I have also planted many 100 trees in Delhi too by joining hands to RSS. We should not think twice doing a good act, that's my point.

There's no dilemma. Dilemma is for people who put their responsibilities on others (here, the govt). Govt is a facilitator not a manufacturer. Basically, the nation works on the principles of its people through the tools (administration) of the govt.
The thought that i don't live in Chennai so I will not contribute does not stop there unfortunately. It goes beyond and across to.... .'I don't know you, why should I carry you to the hospital', 'I don't agree with the laws so why should I abide by them', 'I don't like you so why should I just not kill you'.
You may deny these things but sadly, it is a reality. There is no depth to which human beings can fall.

I do not doubt Sadhguru's intention or the urgency of the situation where the responsibility of fixing something broken is there... but mocking some ignorant guy implying that he is 'corrupt', does not vote, may not pay taxes, does not follow traffic rules etc.. etc... is so very wrong.... BTW, 100% of Indians pay taxes. Income tax is only 6.4 L Crores / 27 L Crores in 2021-22. Which is less than 25% of total taxes. Rest 75% is indirect taxes which are collected from everyone, corrupt or not..... If you ask me all of us have to fight 'on priority' against the corruption in the system.., majority of other problems will get resolved automatically.., looks like Sadghuru has put that responsibility to others (here, I do not know who..)
Recently I was in New Delhi. While taking a morning walk around parliament area, saw a big billboard saying, "Delhi a first state in India providing free Electricity & Water". Freebies is dragging a nation backwards.... unfortunately many states like Delhi, TN, WB...love doing this to please the poor & then exploit them....SAD that the citizens don't understand this....

For all the young hot blood and teenagers, this is what I got to say. U r driven my emotions. The problem with that is emotion will block ur intelligence and rational thinking. For people who are worried abt the attitute of young ones what I got to say is don't worry it is just their age, once they step out from their parents protection and start facing the real world then reality hits them, they will learn from their mistakes and they will change. Just don't pay any attention to them it is not their fault.
For you I would say that you probably never met many teenagers, most of them are disciplined and kind (atleast the ones I know)

True, I see corruption in every sphere of life. Lot of People I know are also corrupt. I am glad that I am not corrupt in any way even if I don't have enough money.
Not responding to corruption is also corruption....so all indians are corrupt as Sadhguru said....each one of us have to stand against all small corruption that we see around us...like stopping people litter on road, stopping people spitting on road, stopping the use of foul languages on road, obeying road rules....the list is endless...what are we doing as citizens?
I agreed sadguru in all aspects but no this .... Tax is paid by every Indian..Evry bill has GST... Forgot about petrol diesel tax ????. Even Indian is paying toll tdy... For evry product bought they pay taxes ..and it's not 3% .. Every Indian govt employees pay it's mandatory ... R they just 3% govt employees in this country ..?? What about business people startup who file tax to get loans , Celebrities , Isha or Art of living kind of organisations ???.. According to u evryone are corrupt hiding without paying taxes then !! Evrywr thy need 3yr IT returns and thy hold it ..... Their is no doubt the budget declared per FY is more than enough to accommodate for all works but it's being swollen by Corrupt and the people following ethics r still struggling hard to make life ....Doesnt it bother u if they misuse tax for their meeting , for traveling , for personal benefit, health care... Everyth ll be by people tax money .... This is misleading....
@@bhavnakrishnan6497 it's easy to say so. Central government of India along with all the state governments are equally fraud and corrupt and no action is taken against corruption. Government officers ask bribe in front of you with no shame and if you go to complains bout them in nearby police station they scold you and send you away. Thousands including me have tried to stand against corruption but ended up losing so don't say people are enot doing anything. Government is way worse

If our country is not getting adequate tax, then how come bureaucrates and politicians amass hundred crores, a single IAS had 20 crores in cash how do you think they get money, its all tax paid by the people for better roads, education, economy and upliftment of poor.

There was no income tax system till 1860 , from 1860 we got income tax. When britishers left we had 24 kinds of taxes- today we have 64 kinds of taxes.
In 1860 we were 210 million population and now we are closing in at 1.4 billion. thats a humongous number jump and also a lot of advances towards public, private services have happened. Please think rationally mam.

You should also compare the infrastructure of 1860 and the conveniences of life back then vs now. People have a lot more things now than in 1860s..hospitals, roads, schools.

It is a false notion that 95 percent of the people don't pay taxes. It should borne in Monday that the entire population pay GST which is indirect tax. Every individual irrespective of their status pay GST. Even income tax the rich companies pay less tax than a common man which is regressive in its character. Every citizen pays tax on food, petrol, entertainment, clothes, medicines, education and what not.
So the argument that 95 percent don't pay taxes is a misleading statement. Some one should appraise Sadguru of this in proper perspective.

@@gnyanashree3344 indirect tax is paid by consumers. Still not enough to support everything like this initiative. Moreover charity is optional so you dont really have to cry. Just dont give if you dont like to. Simple.

I knew a big brother of mine. He wanted to be an IAS officer. But his main interest were power and money mostly in the form of bribe. He often used to say that if he becomes IAS how much bribe he can collect along with the salary which is already high. But never said that he wants to improve the condition of the nation. This is really the tragedy of this country. People in india are so dishonest and corrupt and then they keep on blaming the government.
