Those pictures in Shyvana's and the Dragonguard card arts can't be the battle with Yvva, because their armor looks specifically made for Shyvana and her squad, no way they had those when they just met before fighting the dragon.
So when shyvanna arrived, she had that armor that her parent mage gave to her before they got separated, after the fight, they saw the potential of that kind of armor and how it can absorb damage from fire, after the fight happened they started using this armor
You forgot Ionia also has some dragons (for example Empyrean *the cloud looking dragon) and in future expansion there might be more dragons from Ionia too (or even other regions)

I will reiterate that I think/hope Jarvan is just playing dumb while keeping his cards hidden until he knows who's responsible for his father's assassination. Hanging out with a half-dragon whose magic is only concealed with general self-denial isn't going to support the ruse of an emotionally compromised son trying to avenge his father by oppressing mages. Though it just occurred to me that depending on when Shyvana's hunt was, she might be laying low for her reasons as opposed to Jarvan's, and will end up resurfacing to talk right when it's the most disruptive. Not that she'll try to cause more trouble. She'll just want to talk with one of the people she trusts most, but by law of narrative, that will almost certainly be an inopportune moment. That said, getting past a dragon is no easy feat, so she should be able to handle most threats, and do a darn good job of protecting Jarvan.

This is an interesting discussion of one of the most terrifying junglers in the hands of an experienced player. Shyvana is a nigh unstoppable objective taking god that is very difficult to avoid her devastating torrents of fire (that increase in damage depending on AP) and her vicious basic attacks that scale off AD if you live long enough to get close. Shyvana's only real weak stage of the game is mostly early game after that she is in general a major terror to everything but other hyperscaling champions like Veigar and even they have to play against her well or die.
Well Ionia has dragons and it was confirmed before even LoR was released. For example Irelia mentioned that Ionia has over 200 species of talking dragons (so there are more species of none talking dragons in Ionia am guessing)
I'm going to repeat what I said about this in her reveal video. After a series of recent dragon attacks, the Dragonguard at Wrenwall were on edge for the next attack. Though they were not I'll prepared, they were outmatched by the pure might of the dragon's fury. This was made ever clear when Kadragrin The Infernal attacked the wall protecting Demacia in the early morn. Even though they saw him coming, the dragon laid waste to the wall and burning part of it to ash. When Shyvana and her lieutenant arrived, The Infernal had circled around for another attack. Shyvana prepares herself to take flight and battle with the infernal. What insues is a battle that that started at midday and lasted into the night
Kadregrin is the infernal drake that we get in Summoner's rift in LoL. Because, internally it was called the infernal drake and also if you notice, Kadregrin is the only dragon which is quadrapedal. The rest are all bipedal with wings acting as their arms. The only other quadrapedal dragons that we know are the elemental drakes in SR

The description of Kadregrin The Infernal is interesting because it specifies that the dragons "Drove Demacians to fear" Maybe they're one of the reaons together with the Mage uprising that attracted Fiddle the Diddler
Shyvana got sent to the wall because the people saw her as a threat. Since jarvan said i even USED to love (probably shyvana) it indicates that they can't be together. If the lore becomes a bit like this it would be a bit like GOT but it is plausible.
I hope we get more draconic champions in future - I really like the idea of playing a character like Shyvanna, but I can't play jungle at all, and I'm not good enough at mid to risk trying her there either.

Shyvana's old lore with her dragon father is so much better and her lines in-game make sense. The mage in the new lore is a kidnapper and her mother is just looking for her stolen daughter.
What are the chances that Shyvana running after her father was killed was the same child from Sylas' story of when he worked with the mage seekers just before he was imprisoned? It all lines up way too well.
An argument as to why the pictures being shown are not for Yvva's attack but instead for Kadragrin's. The armor of Demacia is everywhere and is usually all the same wherever its spread. I dont think that the people would be wearing that type armor with Anna.
It will still be very interesting when Shyvana starts having contact with mages and the rebellion. Also Rito is prone to fucking that kind of thing up (see Piltover, Skarner and Seraphine) so hopefully they don't dive bomb into a barrelful of rotten eggs this time.
Shyvana's old lore is so much better. Her dragon father dying for his daughter gives Shyvana so much stronger motivation in killing Yvva. In the new lore, her adoptive mage dad is a kidnapper and her mother was just trying to get her daughter back.

If I remeber right there was mage that attempted to steal the egg in the lair of yva the egg was fused with Magic making her blood diluted with human traits while unborn.and shyvana was named by his dragon father to honor her mother yva but when she was hatch in the egg her mother was furious that her dragonicline tainted and it must be killed her dragon father escape with shyvana. To run from her mother that wants to murder her. From then she was trained to control her Fury dragonic Blood by her father and from time to time they flew to other lands away from her mother which is tracking shyvana. I’ve always shipped Jarvin and Shyvana. One of the more unpopular ships I’ve found.
Well Ionia has dragons and it was confirmed before even LoR was released. For example Irelia mentioned that Ionia has over 200 species of talking dragons (so there are more species of none talking dragons in Ionia am guessing)

After a series of recent dragon attacks, the Dragonguard at Wrenwall were on edge for the next attack. Though they were not I'll prepared, they were outmatched by the pure might of the dragon's fury. This was made ever clear when Kadragrin The Infernal attacked the wall protecting Demacia in the early morn. Even though they saw him coming, the dragon laid waste to the wall and burning part of it to ash. When Shyvana and her lieutenant arrived, The Infernal had circled around for another attack. Shyvana prepares herself to take flight and battle with the infernal. What insues is a battle that that started at midday and lasted into the night
Kadregrin is the infernal drake that we get in Summoner's rift in LoL. Because, internally it was called the infernal drake and also if you notice, Kadregrin is the only dragon which is quadrapedal. The rest are all bipedal with wings acting as their arms. The only other quadrapedal dragons that we know are the elemental drakes in SR

You missed that Freljord also has a dragon. And I think it's highly likely there's some in ionia even not including the one Leesin always talks about.

They forgot about shyvana because they were busy with seraphine and yet another skin line thats about dragons BUT SOMEHOW forgot to include the 1st dragon champion they have.
maybe bc giving a champion a skin that is soon to be reworked wouldn't make much sense?

The armors shown here is so identical to sanguine garen, which for me, it appears Garen served the boarders of demacia and killed dragons

The description of Kadregrin The Infernal is interesting because it specifies that the dragons "Drove Demacians to fear"
Maybe they're one of the reaons together with the Mage uprising that attracted Fiddle the Diddler
Shyvana got sent to the wall because the people saw her as a threat. Since jarvan said i even USED to love (probably shyvana) it indicates that they can't be together. If the lore becomes a bit like this it would be a bit like GOT but it is plausible.
I hope we get more draconic champions in future - I really like the idea of playing a character like Shyvanna, but I can't play jungle at all, and I'm not good enough at mid to risk trying her there either.

@Necrit little question: are dragons affected by magic at all? lee sin has an interesting quote where he says "The dragon spirit is not magic. it is life more ancient than ours." This confuses me, can you clear it up?

Can I say that even tho jarvan is the king of demacia, he doesn’t look like that, more like a dragonslayer, so it will be cool if they added a lore skin for jarvan where is more like a king or royal.
We also know of Dragons in Ionia. From LoR, The Empyrean is a Dragon. There is also one art on Universe where a dragon is attacking an Ionia market
Shyvana's old lore with her dragon father is so much better and her lines in-game make sense. The mage in the new lore is a kidnapper and her mother is just looking for her stolen daughter.

What are the chances that Shyvana running after her father was killed was the same child from Sylas' story of when he worked with the mage seekers just before he was imprisoned? It all lines up way too well.

An argument as to why the pictures being shown are not for Yvva's attack but instead for Kadragrin's.
The armor of Demacia is everywhere and is usually all the same wherever its spread. I dont think that the people would be wearing that type armor with Anna.
Her story will probably be updated now with the most recent ruination event!
It will still be very interesting when Shyvana starts having contact with mages and the rebellion.
Also Rito is prone to fucking that kind of thing up (see Piltover, Skarner and Seraphine) so hopefully they don't dive bomb into a barrelful of rotten eggs this time.

Shyvana's old lore is so much better. Her dragon father dying for his daughter gives Shyvana so much stronger motivation in killing Yvva. In the new lore, her adoptive mage dad is a kidnapper and her mother was just trying to get her daughter back.

If I remeber right there was mage that attempted to steal the egg in the lair of yva the egg was fused with Magic making her blood diluted with human traits while unborn.and shyvana was named by his dragon father to honor her mother yva but when she was hatch in the egg her mother was furious that her dragonicline tainted and it must be killed her dragon father escape with shyvana. To run from her mother that wants to murder her. From then she was trained to control her Fury dragonic Blood by her father and from time to time they flew to other lands away from her mother which is tracking shyvana. Yet one day while Daddy dragon was away SURPRISE her Wild mother appear to kill her then dragon father arrive shyvana was resisting death her father fight his Mate to give time to shyvana to escape yet her father was killed. (Which is why girls are crazy) from her escape shyvana remeber his father words to find a place where it is full of pretricite and in here journey to there she find JarBANG. Well the new lore is still the same back then yet they didnt give shyvana some clarification of she became hafthaft. And the Daddy dragon is missing
