Rays 3B Coach: Lemme just wave him thru, it'll be close, what could go wrong 2020: Sticks leg out while runner rounds 3B Dodgers: Ha, we got 'em..... 2020: I got something for you too
Well... I feel like the Rays accomplished more with that game than the Dodgers did with winning the World Series. Think about it. First, it was a walk-off win in a big game. Those always feel better to the winner as it more than likely means that it was a close game that you managed to overcome in the end after fighting hard. Secondly, with that win, the Rays had broken their record for most games won in a single World Series (Previous best: 1). Then, there were the records broken by Arozarena. Finally, Phillips... A nobody in terms of batting average (.202 career, .000 in the postseason) gets what every baseball kid dreams of: a walk-off RBI/Home Run in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs.
Meanwhile... What exactly did the Dodgers achieve in winning the World Series, something they've done before? Stop another choke? I guess... But none of their wins was a struggle by the end of the game. Game 6 was the closest to that, but they had it won in the 6th inning. Really, for the Dodgers, nothing was achieved that they haven't achieved before.
I think there are a lot of Yankees, Astros, and Dodgers haters out there, so beating the former 2 and making it 2-2 against LA in the WS helps I guess. Others are just enjoying the madness, this was fun and intense, unless you're a Dodgers fan of course.

Eh neither did the Royals but that stadium was still at full capacity in all of their playoff games
When you're careful to pitch around Randy just to lose to Brett Phillips, gotta love postseason ball
WOW!!! Brett Phillips, soak it up young man!!! Soak it up!!! That may never happen again, this will be a memory that WILL NEVER FADE AWAY!!
As a Dodgers fan since the 80's I am now a broken man lol. I would love for my team to win, but if you Rays take it, it will be well deserved. I hope the next few games are this good.
Could be worse. You could be like me and be an Angels fan. The talent on our team and we barely make it to the post season year after year.
Maybe next year we will get someone with an arm.
Nah who am I kidding. Theyll prob sign another rookie catcher.
I hope they are bad games because the Dodgers blow out the Rays the next two games. Kershaw today and Buehler can do one more.
Mookie Betts from the RedSox
I bet on the Rays to win this game... NEVER thought I would see one of the MOST dramatic endings in World Series history

I’m not really a baseball fan but I am starting to watch and I can say Forsure that this was an amazing baseball moment
LMAO. More like most boring. Apparently you've never heard of college football. Don't get me wrong, this game was good and the finish was crazy, but this comment is dumb.
I love how Tampa Bay just doesn’t quit they should win the World Series
I can imagine Tampa Bay adding to the Super Bowl XXXVII and 2 Stanley Cup trophies- all the Rays have to do is win 2 more games of the World Series, then they'll come to Raymond James Stadium to visit the Buccaneers!!!
I can't get enough of how this game turned out. Randy Arozarena's presence of mind in the last few moments was also a huge contribution to this fantastic ending.
Have never seen a walkoff happen with two errors in one play. Absolute insanity. This game will be talked about for ages if Rays pull it off!
If you watch enough baseball you will see this a number of times every year.
3 errors. jansen completely missed the location on his pitch.
@@bacardibum If we're counting missed pitches how about tripping while base running? There were errors everywhere on that play but the rays had fewer and won because of it.
ted gapinski mind naming a few from this year? Would love to add these to my playlist. Thanks in advance.
@@-.TS.- lmao the gapinski clown is clearly an idiot and doesn’t understand baseball. Just watch and enjoy this sequence.

Rays celebrated more for winning this game than Dodgers for championship.... LOL
lol i’m a dodgers fan and i agree with u
@@BenMan8881 well I mean the dodgers won game five when the rays had the tying run at the plate and two on lol. But other than that ye
@@BenMan8881 Most of the Dodgers roster wasn't even alive the last time the franchise won a world series.

And I love any team that annihilates the Yankees!

Amen!

Irony, the Giants were almost Tampa Bay. Back in 1992 moving to Tampa was a done deal until a few SF businessmen stepped into save the team.
Mlb needs more plays like this, crazy exciting
I don’t know how but the rays just got everyone to become rays fans. This right here is a golden team.
I think there are a lot of Yankees, Astros, and Dodgers haters out there, so beating the former 2 and making it 2-2 against LA in the WS helps I guess. Others are just enjoying the madness, this was fun and intense, unless you're a Dodgers fan of course.
@@meanreversion6849 they’re definitely out there but I’m a big Yankees fan myself and this team just has so much personality and they beat the astros so I can’t complain 😆

Even though they lost as a tampa born and raised kid this is the best thing to watch another guy from the area deliver for the home team on the biggest stage
That couldn't have been a more hilarious loss😂😂
Watched with my family who aren't baseball fans. They were complaining about it being boring. Then everyone was screaming during this play.
it is a boring and agonizingly slow paced game, that only true baseball fans (and bettors) can watch to the end. Once in awhile though, a train wreck happens like this, and the fair weather fan gets a bit of a rush.

This man Kenley Jansen really has 4 WS blown saves man... CHOKERRR
@Christian Maciel exactly
You don't bring in a closer to give up 2 hits and a walk
@Christian Maciel well the tying run was his fault. The winning run wasn’t. Although Jansen should’ve been back behind Smith on the play, even if it wouldn’t have made a difference.
@Christian Maciel why not? Are you putting all the blame on Roberts? Kenley has to wear at least 20% . But I'll give 80% to Roberts. Should have had Graterol pitch the 9th
Watching Jansen .....watching the ball get away from the catcher.....Priceless
I am still shaken by what I just witnessed in this game 🤦🏿♂️😂
I love that basically everyone went after Philips right away, normally most players rush towards the one scoring the run, but I think the players were just so amazed that Phillips came through with the hit.
