I absolutely love how after the crazy walk off in the world series he basically ran around acting like a Bird. I love it so much and honestly made a pretty big fan of hims
I love this guy. I went to a Yankees-Rays game in the Bronx in June 2021, and I saw something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. The Yankees were losing badly, Phillips was in left field, and the whole left field section was cheering for him as he ran out for the 9th! He was interacting with them and having fun throughout the whole game that even a losing New York crowd couldn’t help but find some solace in how fun he is.
As a fellow Tampa native, seeing Brett play for the hometown team and watching that World Series will always hold a special place in my heart, not because they won, but because it was such a wonderful moment! I hate that he is on the Angels (I wish we had an extra roster spot on the Mariners for him) but I will happily cheer for him any time I can see him at T-Mobile Park.
I loved Brett when he was in Kansas City and when heard about what he did for the Rays in the World Series me and my family were just so happy for him.
I first found out about Brett in the 2020 WS and have been following him since then. He’s the best kind of player - even if he’s not an mvp type one. Happy he’s on the halos with trout and ohtani, and I hope that he fixed his swing like ward did. Best of luck in Anaheim Brett!
He reminds me of the late Jay Johnstone, a guy who made sure everyone in the dugout had fun, a great prankster who once got into a groundskeeper uniform to drag the infield in midgame and then proceeded to hit a pinch hit HR in the next inning for the LaSorda Dodgers. I hope more players follow their example, Baseball IS Fun !!!
He's one of my favorite players. He's an absolute gem of a person. Loved him with his time in Baltimore. Just a good fun loving athlete. We need more of those in the world. Great video man
Brett Phillips will never have to buy a beer in this town again. He also did something noone will ever do, got the walk off run in for a world series game for his home town team. Dude is a legend
Thank you for expending your efforts to bring a positive story to light and sharing it with all. I'm so damn tired of all these sorts of "channels" on baseball on YT seeking and reporting negative, sometimes even scandalous crap all the time. There is a lot of positive in the game to this day. Love seeing it brought to light! - Ed on the Ridge
Carlos Baerga on the 2003 Red Sox fulfilled a similar role. He was mostly a bench player, but was considered the best teammate on the team. He also had a couple of big hits and a huge game winning sac fly and everyone was so happy for him. That's who Phillips reminds me of.
Went to 14 Blue Jays games last season, seeing Phillips pitch during one of them was one of the top moments of a summer of baseball. Dude plays the game the right way and has an infectious personality in the best way
i remember going to a rays game last season and i was sitting behind this old guy, and every single time josh lowe came out he always asked “is that Philips, why aren’t they playing him?” then finally they used brett as a pinch runner and he stole a base and the man went crazy. brett has an impact on everyone old and young and i really hope he can play for a little while longer
One of my high school teachers is really good friends of Brett Phillips and used to play on the high school baseball team together. They went to high school together just down the street of the high school I went to. It was always interesting to hear the stories he had to share about them.
He went yard during the game Chloe was there. I shed a tear for that. Baseball is awesome. Great player and just overall normal guy. Like a ton of us who just love the game. Great video
I'm actually really excited to see Phillips with my Angels now. If anything, he should really cheer up and change the clubhouse atmosphere. That man is a national treasure.
So many more of my Rays players aren’t gonna be on the Rays this year, but I hope they all give em hell!! Kiermaier, Brett, Willy, Ji-Man all gonna have breakout years 🥹🔥
If Brett Phillips has a million fans, I am one of them. If Brett Phillips has a thousand fans, I am one of them. If Brett Phillips has 10 fans I am one of them. If Brett Phillips has one fan, it is me. If Brett Phillips has no fans, then I am dead. I will be a fan of Brett Phillips until the day I leave Earth
I wish there were more guys like this. He’s so entertaining, even without being that great in the stat lines. There’s only ever been ONE night that I’ve ever not absolutely loved this guy….because I’m a dodger fan.
Brett Philips is the living equivalent of “How can you not be romantic about baseball.” So many cool moments for one player, and he’s just happy to be there.
I’ll always miss Brett as a Ray but I hope he retire with us. Love him especially for commenting on my Instagram post of me pitching and he said even if I’m visually impaired not to give up. I hope to be friends with him! Love and miss him! And Brett’s 2021 season was so underrated and never gonna miss his 2020 hit in the World Series.
"HE could no longer play Fortnite on the jumbotron" I'm sorry you can do WHAT to the Jumbotron at Miller Park? I need to get practicing! Imagine losing to the guy playing on a MLB Jumbotron
I was watching this world series game at the Dollhouse in Tampa. All eyes went off the entertainment and went to the screens for the game and the place went NUTS. (No pun indented)
I can't remember who it was, but my favourite hbp aftermath is the one where the batter was walking to first miming to the pitcher how to throw a slider.
Yeah. Except for seeing Will Smith miss that catch 🤦♂️. Sorry, I had to. Watching Will Smith catch is the most frustrating thing 🤦♂️. Anyway, back to Brett Phillips. How could you not love him? Man airplaned so hard he had to get an IV 😂
I absolutely love how after the crazy walk off in the world series he basically ran around acting like a Bird. I love it so much and honestly made a pretty big fan of hims
*like an airplane
Whenever a player does that, like max fried, I just love them
I thought he was a ray gliding through the water
Isn't that from an old movie?
I love this guy. I went to a Yankees-Rays game in the Bronx in June 2021, and I saw something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. We should all aspire to live our lives like Brett Phillips
True!!!
Fr all we have to do is have fun
Well I got a small head start with my first Name being Brett, so I’m doing my part 🫡
I hope Brett wins a World Series, he's a guy that just loves the game, not the money, more guys should be like that.
yes my friend
As a fellow Tampa native, seeing Brett play for the hometown team and watching that World Series will always hold a special place in my heart, not because they won, but because it was such a wonderful moment! I hate that he is on the Angels (I wish we had an extra roster spot on the Mariners for him) but I will happily cheer for him any time I can see him at T-Mobile Park.
Dude his energy on the field, in the dugout, or in the clubhouse would be so great for the Mariners
That WS walk-off gives me chills. Right up there with David Freese and his big hometown hero moment in the 2011 WS against the rangers.
I like this dude more every single time I hear anything about him. He is a genuinely wonderful human being, I wish there were far more just like him.
I adore Brett Phillips man, he made being a Rays fan so much more fun the past few seasons. Really hope he breaks out with the Angels this year.
It's nice to appreciate the guys that may fall under most people's radar. Sometimes those guys have the most fascinating stories
Baseball needs more guys like him. I wish him success in his career. He’s good for the game.
I loved Brett when he was in Kansas City and when heard about what he did for the Rays in the World Series me and my family were just so happy for him.
Going to miss him on the Rays, he'll always get a standing ovation from me each time I see him walking up to the plate

Brett is a class act, being a Rays fan during the time he was here was incredible, you rarely see things like that
He's one of my favorite players. He's an absolute gem of a person. Loved him with his time in Baltimore. Just a good fun loving athlete. We need more of those in the world. Great video man
if i could give this video an oscar i would wow. incredible storytelling for a guy whose incredibly story deserved it. props
Brett Phillips will never have to buy a beer in this town again.
He also did something noone will ever do, got the walk off run in for a world series game for his home town team.
Dude is a legend
Was in the bleachers at Fenway in August 2021 and Brett Philips was having so much fun with the fans, even the hecklers. Awesome dude
Thank you for expending your efforts to bring a positive story to light and sharing it with all.

The Toronto fans were SO GOOD TO HIM! I'm glad they enjoyed the moment as much as the Rays fans did. Because baseball IS fun.
That WS game is still my favorite. I loved watching it live and everytime I see it its just AHHHHHHHH MOREEEE PLEASE
i remember going to a rays game last season and i was sitting behind this old guy, and every single time josh lowe came out he always asked “is that Philips, why aren’t they playing him?” then finally they used brett as a pinch runner and he stole a base and the man went crazy. brett has an impact on everyone old and young and i really hope he can play for a little while longer

Wishing him the best with Los Angeles!
Phillips homer at the end almost brought me to tears
Okay, it’s official: Brett Phillips is my favourite ball player. How can you not aspire to be like this guy?!
He went yard during the game Chloe was there. I shed a tear for that. Baseball is awesome.
Great player and just overall normal guy. Like a ton of us who just love the game. Great video

I’m hoping for a huge year for him!! What a great guy all around
If you haven’t, look up Brett Phillips’ post game interview after Chloe’s home run. Protect this man at all costs
Thank you for bringing this up. I just looked it up and I got teary eyes now.
Can only imagine how wild the dugout would be if this guy and Lars Nootbaar were on the same team.
When MLB the Show did their players league in 2020, I became a Brett Phillips fan. He's just an all around great guy
such a great personality and presence in the game. I hope he finds a way to stay involved with the sport once he's done playing
It was heartbreaking loosing Brett here in St. Pete
I'm actually really excited to see Phillips with my Angels now. If anything, he should really cheer up and change the clubhouse atmosphere. That man is a national treasure.
He's from St Pete too so he did all of that at home which made it even better to watch and experience.
So many more of my Rays players aren’t gonna be on the Rays this year, but I hope they all give em hell!! Kiermaier, Brett, Willy, Ji-Man all gonna have breakout years 🥹🔥
I just cried watching this. Played against him when I went to Indian rocks in high school. Such a great dude.
Baseball is fun -Bret Phillips
I love Philips, I really hope he turns it around with he Angels!
Met brett tonight at a jacksonville jumbo shrimp game. He is such an amazing person!
I will follow this kid wherever he goes. Wish he got to stay home here with the Rays. Those moments will never be forgotten in the Tampa Bay area.
I miss seeing Brett at the Trop. 🙃 Hope he does well for the Angels (just not against the Rays).
Sucks to see he struggled so much at the plate the last couple years. That walkoff was really fun and memorable and of course he hit a bomb there haha

Good for baseball. That's all that needs to be said. I hope when he's done playing, he sticks around in the show and keeps that laugh going.
Being a Rays fan, Brett Phillips will always hold a special place in my heart. He’s a winner and deserves a ring no matter where he gets.

Brett Philips is the living equivalent of “How can you not be romantic about baseball.” So many cool moments for one player, and he’s just happy to be there.

So underrated dude. This channel is gold buddy
I’ll always miss Brett as a Ray but I hope he retire with us. Love him especially for commenting on my Instagram post of me pitching and he said even if I’m visually impaired not to give up. Brett Phillips just became my favorite player!
I might have a new favorite player. He has fun, and doesn't take himself too seriously: that's exactly what I want to see in baseball.

He seems like an awesome guy. I hope he has a long MLB career
I was so excited when I saw he signed with the Angels. Hopefully he’s playing for the games I’m able to get to Minute Maid
that sliding catch was iNSANE
You don't need to be an all-time great at baseball to be an all-time great in baseball history. Guys like Brett Phillips prove that!
Brett Phillips earned a fan for life out of this video.
BASEBALL IS FUN!!!
BRETT IS THE MAN!!!
That dude took a 95 to the spine and laughed about it.. Brett's a champ!
Brett Phillips for MLB chairman!!!!
Great video! New favorite MLB player
Brett is a legend
Love this guy
I can't remember who it was, but my favourite hbp aftermath is the one where the batter was walking to first miming to the pitcher how to throw a slider.
Damn the end got me balling
Was it me or did I laugh when the player fell trying to get Brett after the walk-off
Great video!
Met him before a game at the hotel they were staying at and he’s just as good of a person as you would think
If my halos win the world series this year, its because of Brett Phillips. Stoked hes on my team.
Can't wait to watch this man do his thing in Anaheim
I remember this moment as a dodger fan didn't feel so bad after seeing this guy so damn happy
Yeah. Except for seeing Will Smith miss that catch 🤦♂️. Sorry, I had to. Watching Will Smith catch is the most frustrating thing 🤦♂️.
