Was really fun being part of the video! Garry Tonon and Jeff Glover are my 2 favourite grapplers to watch. Oh and Grace Gundrum from 10th planet as well.
My favorite grappler rn is you Jordan your rolling is very awing to watch and when I talk to my friends about jiu jitsu I often use your videos as a visual aid to show them what bjj is all about, especially the ones where you’re fighting the big boys. Close second is Craig Jones just because of his personality.
These videos are absolutely incredible, Best bjj channel on RUclips no doubt. You’ve helped me improve my game so much and I can’t thank you enough for it.
Awesome video! The breakdown at the end after doing the commentary rolling with your style definitely sets this channel apart as one that produces value for the viewers. Way to go!
That breakdown at the end just made you my #1 BJJ channel to watch for information. Thank you for putting in extra time and effort for us to learn and grow. It allowed me to learn a new technique and see it used in a live roll. A real one-stop-shop channel! My favorite grappler to watch is Craig Jones since that's the style I seem to be falling towards in NoGi as a long and lanky fellow
the breakdown at the end is what pushed me over the line to subscribe! (it helped that rolling guillotine and darce counters are what i have been working on recently)
I like the breakdown! I think this would also work if you broke down a roll from some of your lower belts as well! You could commentate on what they could've done better and then break that down afterwards. Super cool and loving the different video ideas and concepts. Keep up the great work! 👍👊
I only have watched your videos since a month but you have quickly become my favorite channel. I have been doing jiu jitsu for about 2-3 months now and it’s probably the most fun thing I have done in my life. Sadly I have a very high black belt coach who has a bunch of gyms in the Netherlands and big classes therefore I am kind of missing the individual side of being coached. Your videos have given me so much insights and flaws in my game. Everytime I watch your vids I immediately want to go back on the mats and try all tips and tricks you showcase in your rolling footage. Your videos are amazing and I know your channel will grow really fast as people can see the amount of effort you put into every single video
In addition to the great detailed recap at the end, I got the following out of this video: • #1 attack in no gi when the opponent has the underhook is the front headlock. Overhook and butterfly sweep to the opposite side, forcing the opponent to post and exposing his shoulder and neck for the guillotine. • It is relatively simple to defend a D’arce choke but either getting to your knees or putting your back flat on the mat. D’arce defense counter - roll forward (8:24) - OR - sit through (9:51). • Maintain back exposure by keeping the opponent’s head elevated. Where the head goes, the body must follow. • Riding the opponent with my shin encourages the opponent to turn away and create back exposure. • From ¾ mount, I can attack the back using the truck (or chair sit). • For calf slicers and kneebars the foot in the crook of your elbow is much better than grabbing with two hands. • You need something keeping your opponent from turning either direction at all times. • Stand up to your feet to counter the butterfly sumi geashi sweep. • Controlling the legs from top position is absolutely essential. Your guard is your grips you take with your legs. • Prevent your back from being taken by hiding your back on the mat (example was against a diving headlock). • When you opponent is on his back, use butterfly hooks to raise your opponent’s legs off the mat and prevent him from getting up. • When the head is past the knees, the guillotine in a great choice. • When on the bottom, use your t-rex arms to keep the opponent down by your hips where attacks are minimal and control isn’t always ideal. Additionally, try to keep the opponent below your knees. • When you have mounted someone, focus on keeping them on their back. They will have to get onto their side to facilitate most escapes. If they do get onto their side, you need to be ready to transition to side control / knee on belly.
Keep it up Jordan! Your videos by far are some of my favorite to watch for learning! The way you break down certain philosophies of jiu-jitsu and things to do and look for, is on point. You find the universal truths of jiu-jitsu that apply in every situation. When I roll I find myself saying "T-rex arms" or " don't let them grab my head", it has helped my game tremendously. Thank you very much for all of this!
A good teacher is hard to find and appreciate, a great teacher is better to have and appreciate. You have exposed your understanding of jujitsu. Like others. I truly appreciate you, showing your knowledge to everyone. I have told others I think you're a good instructor/ coach. Learn were you can, when you can. Especially if you find a good teacher. Keep up the good work.
Jordan- Your videos were already so well done but adding the additional teachings on the techniques make it so much easier to learn. Amazing videos and extremely helpful! Thank you for all your hard work putting these together!
As a beginner I just love the way you're teaching jiujitsu concepts over techniques because not knowing what to do at each position most of the times leads you to all the worst positions, and without the concepts it's really hard to learn or remember what to do thanks and please keep posting about grappling and escapes
👊As far as who do I like doing Jiu Jitsu it would have to be your channel. Seriously, your rolling videos are awesome and give nice high level concepts that my professor touches but doesn't empashize as much.
Really like that u teach concepts and how to grapple instead of just a bunch of “cool” techniques like most other bjj channels. Ofc i like the occasional technique video, but these nogi rolling commentaries are amazing. Nice work
I like it. Love watching you work vs a beast like that. Breakdown was icing on the cake. Just signed up as a patreon yesterday and got my name on the video too!
Hi Jordan, I'm just here to tell you that watching your videos has become one of my favorite hobbies. The way you explain everything calmly and in detail is so enjoyable, I feel like I'm gaining tons of knowledge every time I watch your videos so thank you so much for your videos! Tomorrow I'll be back to my bjj academy after 1 month off because of vacation and I'm extremelly excited to try on everyone the rolling back attack I learned from you. Thank you man, keep it like that, you are getting huge, I'm from Argentina and I have 20 years old and in my academy another guy in his 50's knows you and watches your videos, you're reaching people around the world and we are all in love with your channel and your person. Again, thank you Jordan!
Super technical breakdown, you and Alex always have really interesting rolls. I’ve been telling everyone I can about you Chanel, pretty sure it’s bjjs best kept secret on RUclips 🤙
Just one tip - when you write tips / notes on bottom I like to pause to read them - and when I do, RUclips controls show up and it is not possible to see it. Its the same on desktop and mobile. Just a thing to consider. Oss
All of your videos are so informative and they have helped me so much with my game. Even your no-gi videos have helped me improve my game in the gi! Thank you so much for making these videos. There are of tremendous help!
Thanks for all the help. Just had my second session and just tried to remember all the basics about framing from this channel. Still got beat up but loving learning. Keep up the amazing work. It's so beneficial for someone like me.
Great job - amazing roll. I just tried the rolling back take from truck for the first time on Sunday, it's slick. Thanks for inspiring the calf slicer, will try.
Hey Jordan, thanks for the video! I just got my 2nd stripe on my white belt yesterday. I have been training for about 3 months, and I have found your videos incredibly helpful. My grappling has certainly improved since I started following your channel. Thanks!
Pretty badass brownbelt 💪🏼 It would be awesome if you made a video with „jedi does Jiu-Jitsu“ My favourit grappler to watch is Roger Gracie, i love his basic but complete game to defeat just everyone 🔥
Really enjoyed this format Jordan. When I go to class and we drill new techniques, I often wonder how those techniques should be utilised during a roll. This format is perfect, because you see exactly from which position the opportunities emerge. You have the greatest BJJ content on the internet, hands down.
I loved seeing the techniques in real time during the roll and then the subsequent breakdown. It was entertaining and informational. Keep it up! Oss! 🤙🏻👊🏻
"Controlling legs from the top position is critical" This is one thing I will take from this video and imprint it in my game. I was doing this from time to time but it wasn't a priority. Now thinking about it I was much more successful when doing this. Great Video and thank you!
Can't believe I wasn't subscribed. Fixed that. Love the content and the technique followup at the end. My favorite grappler is probably Mikey Musimeci. Darth Rigatoni seems like a cool dude just to hang out with, but that dude is a killer.
Tainan Dalpra, Fabricio Andrey and Gabriel Sousa all won gold medals in their respective weight divisions at World's in December of '21 Love the breakdowns Jordan keep it up
The breakdown made everything so much simpler, it was an amazing idea
Thank you! I'll keep doing it 😁
Was really fun being part of the video! Garry Tonon and Jeff Glover are my 2 favourite grapplers to watch. Oh and Grace Gundrum from 10th planet as well.
Jordan...dude...narrated rolls with a breakdown after is the best video teaching method on youtube! You are really onto something!
Thanks man! Im doing my best to make an impact on the way BJJ is taught on, and off line 🙂
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu
Its awsome! I like your style too! I gotta get that arm in guillotine down its so useful even just to butterfly sweep!
Notice how calm Alex is the whole time. No panic. Just solving the problem.
And the post roll breakdown is awesome. More of that, please!
very NICE explaining the techniques at the end i was waiting for these tips.... and i would love to see Alex more....THX coach
OSSSAAA
This post match breakdown is legit! Keep it coming!
I will!

Gordon, Craig Jones, and the Ruotolo brothers! So fun to watch... oh and you ofc lol
This channel has helped me improve so much in a little time. Explain the concept of things versus step 1, 2, 3…
Thanks Jordan!
These videos are absolutely incredible, Best bjj channel on RUclips no doubt. You’ve helped me improve my game so much and I can’t thank you enough for it.
Thanks man 🙏 Means a lot to me to hear that 😁
Hands down! Love the conceptual approach to learning I get from this channel
Breakdown at the end increases the overall quality of the video ! Great stuff
Just fantastic narration.
Probably the best out there
Thank you 🙏

Not gonna lie - I wish your school was in San Diego. I'd join. I learn so much just from these commentary videos.
highest quality bjj channel by far
Thank you!
Enjoy the vid, and the technical breakdown at the end! I'm super new at bjj but I feel like I'm learning lots, thank you!
I’ve been training for abt 6 months now. Your videos have made an IMMENSE difference in my BJJ. Thank you Jordan! You’re really making a difference

These vids keep getting impossibly better. The video chapters, the narration, the filming, the editing and sub text and now post-roll break down 🤯
Great video and the break down at the end is helpful with understanding the movement and the direction you were going with it.

The last part is a must have addition from now on
This content is awesome brother thanks for the explanation at the end! Still waiting on that "black belt vs. OBGYN Purple belt video" 😆
