Love it! No annoying intros & outros, no "please like & subscribe", no timelapse in reverse at the end to stretch watchtime, just the pure video like in the old days of RUclips!
Oh my god, finally a TREE! Thank you so much, please consider making updates of this project in the future!!!! I really appreciate your hard work, and quality videos!
Technically, if you're diligent enough, you could plant a Christmas three in your back garden 3 years in advance so you can get a free tree every Christmas
This was almost overwhelming. The miracle of life is a slow process. This was so fast that it made me feel anxious. With that being said, it was a fascinating video. Thank you
I actually brought a pine cone home from the American cemetery near the coast not far from Rome when I got home it fell out of my luggage and a few seeds popped out . Went on RUclips & learned how to grow it To my amazement it grew and. And is my prized possession.
I always just assumed pine cones on the ground that hadn't opened weren't ever going to open. Thanks for showing me that was a bad assumption. That's a cute lil tree.
A nice little experiment: Pick a pine cone, put it in a humid condition: like on a shallow plate with some damp paper towel and wait; then let the cone dry. You can repeat it and marvel at!
This is my new favorite video by you I just love it in every way it gets straight into it and you put in so much effort to grow it for 300 days perfection😊
FABULOUS video! Since I was a child in the 1960s, I have been fascinated by time-lapse movies/videos. The music is well timed and selected, too. Thank you for making and posting this one!! SUBSCRIBED
I've been hiking daily with permission on a private property along with my last four GSDs. When I first began to go there over two decades ago, there were several 60 year old pines scattered across a 600 meter long stretch. I started stepping on the fallen pinecones, knowing it would speed up the process of pine seeds sprouting up. After doing this, I've seen almost two hundred new trees on the property. Some are over 20 feet tall, and some are no larger than a finger. I won't live to see it, but one day there will be a very nice little forest there. 😊 🌲🌲🌲
Cacti are quite tricky to look after. I have green fingers but I think I always over care for my cacti by over watering them or not watering them enough. The only succulent I manage to keep alive and germinate the leaves is the Crassula Ovata. I never have any problems with any other indoor or outdoor plants 🤷🏻♀️
I did this a lot when living in an apt as a hobby. Both pines and redwood. What I learned is that conifers take a long time to root and get going compared to most similar sized deciduous
Tell me about it! I planted a red pine seed I found on the ground, and it stayed as a single rosette of needles for most of the year! I put it in the ground six years ago, and it’s still barely six inches high, including the needles! Of course, it doesn’t have a parent tree to feed it through the mycorrhizal internet, but it’s still slower than I expected.
That was beautiful! Love the music. I hope it puts in perspective just how long it takes for a pine tree to be BIG. People cut them down like it’s nothing. 😢 This little baby is almost a year old and only a few inches tall.
When we have conifers or other trees from seed (almost always little volunteers), it's usually about 3-5 years in a pot or garden bed before we can transplant. Then we have a wire cage or something to prevent deer damage for another 3-5 years, until the tip of the tree's around 6 feet/2 meters tall. Some trouble, yet worth it! 🌲😎✌️
Wow, what an incredible video. The music and editing was fantastic. I'm happy when a new Boxlapse video is in my notifications, your videos are always great to watch.
We had to fall 17 pine trees to make room for our house and drain field. We’ve been in the process of planting new trees in different locations around our property.
I think you're incorrect about that. Pines grow quickly. Try this with a Maple or Oak tree. The reason pine is used so often in construction, is the entire tree can be harvested in just 20-30 years. Oak and Maple, bit longer but whatever you make out of them, will last a century.

Can you please make a studio tour or some video to show us how you record all this??? Its incredible. Im sure a few big brands would pay you for a shout out too
The concept is very simple and anyone can do this (which isn't meant at all to belittle this amazing video). To start with, it's not really a video - it's hundreds or a few thousand photographs that have been combined into a continuous stream. Which is exactly what a film (motion picture) is, except movie cameras take 24 photos every second and it's played back in real time. You could do timelapse in your garden, or in an indoor space like this one. The key things are to ensure the subject (the pine tree) is not moved, and there is a fixed camera mounting point that also does not move. You could leave the camera in place for the whole time, or if the point where the camera attaches to the tripod is high quality you could remove the camera to use it for other tasks (and obviously replace it in time for the next scheduled photo). You either manually take the photos once each day (or perhaps three a day at different times), or you could set up a timer to do this automatically. Once you have all your images, there is software (probably freeware) that will combine them into a video clip. I made a one minute stop motion video using the same basic techniques as described. Making a video over 300 days is something most people could do, but it will need some dedication to keep up the project - and you have to be patient to see the end results!
@@fluchterschoen I know what a time lapse is but I want to see what camera/gear they use. if they have a camera on 24/7 with some auto timer. And what software they use to turn the pics into videos. Also they have new videos often. So they must have 20+ plants growing at the same time. One camera for all? Going back and forth taking multiple photos per day or one cam for each plant on some timer??? Thats the kind of things i want to see
I've had a big lush blue stone pine before in a pot, it was perfect until sadly the frost killed it, it sucked. Just make sure to keep these as an indoor plant as they are very supseptable to frost when young, they can handle it once they've turned into a full tree.
What I think is intresting is those first few leaves that came out, they act as a way for the plant to get energy going before the more traditional pine lives come through.
That seed is so chonky! There’s almost no wing, just a big, fat nut. I grew a red pine seed like this, and it took six years to get that tall, including its long needles!
I love how well this soaring music goes with a seemingly simple time-lapse of a pine tree growing. Truly, a miracle of nature.
Love it! No annoying intros & outros, no "please like & subscribe", no timelapse in reverse at the end to stretch watchtime, just the pure video like in the old days of RUclips!
I totally agree. Except that I would also cut the first 5 seconds.
Exactly, This is why he is my favorite youtuber!
except for the crap at the beginning where he showed an end preview for no reason
I mean, annoying dramatic music though
@@Lornes.Cawks.inflationOfficer0:55 yeah… like when the seed came off of the plant so strange to have the beat drop there

it takes 10 years or more to develop a christmas three.
Well, except that christmas trees are generally spruce... :)
I'm happy you showed the pine cone opening and the seeds inside.
As an engineer and a chemist, there is nothing more fascinating to me than the simplicity and beauty of a seed.😊
0:55 I love how the seedling opening up matches to the dramatic sound in the background.
Whoa! That music corresponds so well when the seed falls & the leaves bloom; it gives such a chill!

One of the many miracles of nature. Beautiful!
I bet that tiny but mighty little tree had the grow tent smelling AMAZING 😊 great work as always! Happy merry holidays to everyone ❤
Still, a pine tree takes a long time to grow, but I like how it grows from a small plant into a whole large tree
you mean like all the other trees? :P

Depends on species, some are faster than others. Climate is also a factor trees have less down time in the tropics.

Astonishingly beautiful..~! I could honestly have watched it for hours on end!

We have a random pine tree growing in the yard, it is still young but I want to keep it to decorate it for Christmas every year.
Beautiful artwork of patience and filmmaking. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, that's a cool and relaxing timelapse! Your channel is amazing and is the best channel of timelapse of plants growing! 🎉🎉🎉
The dramatic crescendo at 00:55 was quite cool. What were the watering and temperature conditions for the seed to sprout and grow till this height?
It's cute! Just a tiny baby tree!
