  • This 2007 Ford Focus 2.0l overheated. The MIL (check engine light) is on and it’s my job to diagnose the cause and the extent of the damage. I’ll show you the tests that I ran and the conclusion of the non-invasive diagnosis. This is part one of the Ford Focus series.

Massive potential with this channel! No hack job here, just a regular guy with great skill in maintenance and presentation. Thanks!

Thanks May, there are more videos coming in this series. I’m trying to show as much as I can - without it being 3 hours long.

have today had my no1 cylinder on my ford focus blow out two exhaust valves in one journey and go onto three cylinders , so I can't tell you how happy i am to have come across this series of brilliant and excellent video's. A really good friend of mine is going to loan me a corner of his workshop to keep costs down for me and will keep a watching eye on me and talk me through the head removal and valve hopefully replacement. Fingers crossed ha ha My mate is like you a fantastic mechanic and will now be subscribing to your channel as well and scouring the back catalog for some more gems.
    Thanks again
    Alan.

Great video Steve. Very nice demonstration. Man I really need to invest in the air powered coolant tester.

Thanks Tony. Yeah that shop air tester is the bees knees. Less work + you never run out of air.

Seem like a pretty ok guy. Not many here on YT impress me. There are a select few who I can truly respect.

What did the spark plugs look like?

Three were a bit worn and one was worse. The gap was way too large.
