Best indoor coop for silkie chickens!

- We had so much fun creating this indoor coop for our rescued silkie roosters! Furnishings by IKEA. Moose and Mumble are residents of the House of Nubs (www.houseofnubs.org)
Please note: these chickens have special health conditions so they cannot live outside 24/7. They also have an amazing outdoor area, and get plenty of sun and outdoor time every day.

I have silkies. That room got covered in shit in minutes guaranteed. Chickens poop every couple of minutes

@@moviebites9570 babies you keep in a brooder indoors. They will begin to smell after a few weeks even with daily cleaning and need to be moved outdoors weather permitting. They poop constantly even in their sleep. This video is very cute but obviously just for entertainment not a realistic example

Here are the answers those folks out there who obviously didn’t bother to read our page description, and are getting all huffy. Our chickens are disabled rescues. They have an indoor coop because they are very temperature sensitive and special medical needs, but they also spend most of the day outdoors every day the weather is permitting. They DO wear diapers, and I DO clean this space every day. They also have supplemental UV lighting.
For the jerk who said I need a psychiatrist, these are therapy animals who are trained to work with kid survivors of trauma. The children LOVE these silly videos. What have you done for other people lately besides cyber bullying?

They are beautiful, I have a rooster and a hen, my rooster Hootie is so smart he knows his name I yell Hootie and he comes a running I got them as chics they are 4 months old they are my babies.

I'd reccommend replacing the bed mattress with hay and make sure the covers are easy to wash. Unless you're confident in potty training them, they'll make a mess!

Aww so cute! I'm going to buy silkie chicken chicks but I have to move first, no pets allowed in my building. I'm pretty sure even after soundproofing, my apartment will sound like a farm. Also I would not want to get rid if I had a rooster, it wouldn't feel right, so I'm waiting to buy a house, hopefully within 3 months. Im in love 😍🤗😍

@@ivyajpw2981 The silkie hens are a little bit different. The male keep the chest and neck up like the shape of the letter S.
While the hens are more horizontal line from the neck to the tail.
