Honestly, looking at the frag grenades, the wider radius and 1 extra grenade makes it nicer at getting rid of chaff like it was meant to, and the way its shrapnel works means it can still be surprisingly effective against Bile Spewers.
AT is a hard line to balance around, in this game it feels like there's only two outcomes: either everyone brings enough AT and heavies are not a threat at all, or the team doesn't bring enough AT and everyone just gets overrun with Hulks or Chargers. Maybe one solution (at least with regards to Terminids) is to up the chaff and medium count, so that if there's too much AT and not enough chaff clear, you instead get flooded with a bunch of small bugs. Bugs could use a challenge bump anyhow, they always feel so much easier than bots. Also, with regards to what Echo said about the Liberator and basic boy loadouts, maybe you could give the Knight a shot against bugs, especially now that they fixed it not getting full ammo from supply. Statistically it's not much different from the Liberator but I love its mag-dump option, and the one-handed trait lets you carry the egg while still using it, which in turn gives you more options for your secondary.
@@LordKelvinX2086 yeah, I think frog was saying the harder games were when there were more chaff spawns, so that checks out. I had a knight upload waiting in the wings before the update lol, I already liked it tho I'm so glad they fixed the ammo pickups. Never quite got the hate but I think not a lot of people like the fast magdump, frequent reloads weapons like lib carbine as well. The reduced recoil on the knight is kinda nuts, barely any kick to it now compared to before, I kinda miss it lool.
Same sentiment especially on the bots side that Recoilless 'Solves Any Problem' Rifle kinda negates quite a bit of challenge now. Though generally happy with the increased ability to mix-up loadouts to whatever feels the best to your playstyle.
@@marcohorodnichev9489 I think there was a nice balance to it in terms of the level of challenge. Some mission types like the revamped flag missions on bots do bring those massive difficulty spikes back, so more of that would be cool.
Why the game is easier or harder on the same difficulty: It's a difficulty suggestion, not selection. We've had much harder haz 7/8 missions than 10. Game makes no sense

Yeah. Factory Striders in particular can be a little anticlimactic, 2 RRs to the head and it's over before the fight even started.
