The dev video talking about the changes said that the new Jump Pack is basically the same as the Dark Fluid jetpack, but just from a few jumps you can tell it isn't true, you don't get nearly as much height. It's still amazingly good now though, you can wear it with heavy armor (which also got buffed this patch) and never fall behind your teammates when going cross-country. I've only tried it out a couple times so far, but map traversal is so much faster with this thing, you can even do stuff like scale hills to evade pursuers.
it doesn't feel quite the same, no damage on liftoff either tho I guess that's fair enough. Using it with heavy armour is a good shout actually, will have to try it next time!
@LordKelvinX2086 Agreed, no way it goes as high as the dark fluid version. It barely reaches the height of the old one if you dont press w mid-air. To me, the best part is the random mid-air ragdolls I'm getting when your legs hit an obstacle. I freesbee spin faceplanted into POI fences so many times now. Also, mid-air zaps from a nearby tesla tower are hilarious.
