No apologies required, the hunt was great and educational! It’s amazing how these majestic resilient kings of the woods can succumb to a tiny midget! Despite the loss, you’ll prevail, and I cannot wait for the journey or two of your harvests! Thanks!

Sweet, hopin to shoot some doe with recurve this year, been working on it couple years, its time now, good out to bout 18, wouldnt hunt til could hit a target 4 inch diameter pretty much every shot, 10 million shots later, im ready. Season just opened down here..i fell in love with the arrow setup...shoot compound now with a real forward heavy, 550 gr shaft with wendsel woodsmans out front, my ancient old self is down to 50 lb compound draw, worked up from 30 to 40 on recurve, but 50 lb compound just blows thru old deer again like i was a sprout, pullin 70 with my old bear razor 2 blades, recurve really helped my compound draw cycle as well, learned to get into my back in first few inches of draw instead of shoulder drawing then transfering it to my back, cant fake that recurve draw cycle, rotation my man, nice rotation ! strengthened my core to, think its helping my sciatica! Good luck

Good stuff. Appreciate you bringing us along. When I lived & hunted in Indiana over 2 decades ago we had a few years of bluetongue that was pretty harsh. It is very sad to see all the dead deer. Happy hunting. Lord bless.

What tree arm are you using? I’ve been using a fourth arrow for a couple years now but am looking for a lighter more packable setup if one exists…

Good grief what is that buck at 12:39, Jared? Any history with that one? Looks like a mega giant... Sorry about the EHD.

It seems like these bucks have everything stacked against them to survive. I hate to see any of these deer die that way. I hope it doesn’t take years for some of those areas to recover

Jared, did you salvage tag that deer. Was it a deer known to you before dying?
