That’s a tough one! The Inverted Flam-Tap is gonna take some time. And the Cheese, that’s a whole nother challenge right there. I’ll put Susie on my Must-Do list of Chop-outs. Thank you!!
Cool! Tom was our caption head in Atlanta when I marched snare in 1980. Such a fun guy to learn from. He could be really funny but also really intense. We tied for the top caption award for percussion that year, so it was pretty intense that summer. Thanks for posting this!
Just picked this up the other day from a FB group, love the way it flows. The Bluecoats arrangement (played before the Suzie) is a great setup for the exercise.
I was having trouble because I was trying to play the lyrics instead of the rhythm so I moved the notes in my head. But if you get the pattern (right hand flam = left hand single and left hand flam = right hand single) and you know the lyrics then it should be REALLY easy.
Playn Drums with Dave Natal I drum but I wouldn’t really call myself a drummer, with the lack of knowledge and lack or experience. I didn’t realize what you meant by flam tap and that’s why I was having trouble but this little warm up opened up my eyes a little more. Thank you.
Nick does Quad drumming Sorry, can you play it at 180 bpm? I’d be willing to bet having him play through it and discuss technique would be beneficial for a lot of folks. It’s not all about how “hard” the sheet music is....
@@playndrumswithdavenatal9942 Tim Tintari was the snare tech back then, I was taught by him and work with him now. I owe a lot to what he taught me about drumming.
