mmaddayag1974, Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable were very capable dancers and did appear doing so on film. Carey Grant was taught by his mother to dance, and did so with Ingrid Bergman in the film “Indiscreet”; he also sang several songs in the film “Night and Day”. I think that’s the only film he danced in. James did indeed sing in the film “Born to Dance”, and also joined the group “The Pied Pipers” as a vocalist. Clark sang one time in the film “Idiot’s Delight”. Admittedly, singing a few songs, or dancing a number in a movie doesn’t make one a singer or dancer, but these men were decent at both and could have pursued a career in both if they’d chosen to. You need to research better.
I am 23 and I have listened to Frank Sinatra most of my life. Recently someone told me I look like gene Kelly and now I am on a RUclips clips binge. The most entertaining deep dive I’ve ever went on
I have just found this movie and absolutely LOVE it. While watching this video, I found it hilarious that they dance all around singing the actual word "floozy." The writers were very clever!
I just love Sinatra! And Kelly! They're wonderful and funny. But in a wholesome way. People with this much talent, coupled with the oozing charisma, are rare. I love it when he's playing the piano with his butt! You'll never see that in a movie again! Lol
One of my favorite parts of one of my favorite movies of all time!! I particularly like the way they are so obvious about making up a ridiculous song on the spot, and they are so pleased with themselves when the lyrics come together. So corny, and so delicious!!
Extraordinary talent ...looove love gene Kelly movies ...un American in Paris gets his best performance actually all of them has magic in it ..no they don't create magic like this anymore it's impossible as u don't have a genius like gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra 2 masterpieces in their own mind league ..unique talent creativity at its best watch it anytime ...loooove it no words ..as I said I belong to this era ❤❤❤❤❤
Sailors were supposed to be the tough guys of world war two, and a girl who would date sailors might be considered a little rough herself. They are trying to chase this guy off, so they want him to think that he shouldn't date Susie.
Fantastic! Absolute lyrical and melodic genius! Thanks so much for sharing yet another great clip from the great MGM musical era with Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly.
A lotta talent, on that stage, between the two of them. I love these old musicals. I only hope many other's do, as well. We need these kinds of films in our lives. Life is just too grim without them.
Haha, this video will always remain one of my favourite videos ever. From the first time I saw it, I knew it was epic. Like others, I love the line "So in conclusion... beware of susion!" haha :) This is one of my favourite movies ever, starring two of my favourite stars, Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. Thank you so much for uploading it and allowing us fans of this amazing movie to re-watch it over and over again :)
This is the first time I have ever seen this with such gud visual quality. Thanks!

Fun fact - This song wasn't written for this movie. It's been around since the 1920s, and this is a 'parody' of it. That explains how the characters came up with it so fast for the plot! I always wondered that!
Yes! I love the way Gene sings “for” at 1:58 too. Frank gets the deserved credit for keeping up with Gene’s dancing, but just the same, Gene was able to keep up with his vocals (as well as Judy’s).
I love watching Gene Kelly wrinkle up his nose to make a face at Frank Sinatra. Sinatra was an only child and Kelly had four siblings, including two brothers. I think, in this movie, Gene Kelly taught Frank how to have fun making a movie. They became life long friends.
They really roasted this man's lady like that. They weren't even bashful about it. They said, "a one, two, three, four," and did a musical review. I will never recover from this.

I watched the full movie and when they are done singing, Susie starts crying and says it’s the meanest and Joseph (Gene) apologizes and says that he had no right to sing the song about her. Edit: he said he was the one who thought about it.
She was sad because they got rid of the guy who was a relative of someone from the show businesses and she could have a chance as a singer. They acted selfish. They said they got rid of him because they thought it was a date.
Speechless. The talent is incredible. Such as shame there are not films like this anymore...Frank and Gene= Hollywood at it's BEST.
Frank, Bing, Astaire, Gene, Danny Kaye, Donald O'Connor, ... THE GREATEST❗🎯💯
Don’t forget James Stewart, Clark Gable, and Carey Grant!
Bogart, anyone?
@@kroakie4 James, Clark and Carey didn't sing and dance.

This is one of those songs that just gets totally stuck in your head!
It’s been stuck in my head for the last two days
Frank: “Oh, that Susie! She’s a doozy!”
Gene: *DONK*
Frank: “She’s not choosy!”
Gene: *DONK*

Of you haven't seen Singin in the Rain, do it.
She belongs to you and you and me, and the US Navy. Crack up everytime I hear that
"U is for... You know what I mean!" Thanks for the post!
The Unicorn for what?
Avita 1946 . It’s all about sincerity. I-U- under your skin.
I always wondered why Susie didn't hear them. After all, she was only upstairs.
abcat2000 maybe she was in the bathroom.
John the Voice yeah taking the fattest shit ever known to humanity
Maybe, instead of Susie was she was not.
@@theretep6494 I doubt it would be a problem for Susie though
🤣🤣😂😂
I have just found this movie and absolutely LOVE it. While watching this video, I found it hilarious that they dance all around singing the actual word "floozy." The writers were very clever!
TOTALLY agree!! I wish they still made movies like this!! Frank and Gene are perfect!!
Our Grama, when she got dementia would play this song ( wherever) there was a piano. I can still hear her singing this song 🥰🤗😘
Gene Kelly-the whole package.

Sinatra wholesome? 😂😂😂😂
Jason Chambers, when he sang and acted, yes. He was a lot more wholesome than the music and movies of today.
@@kroakie4You mean all actors in all movies?
Jason Chambers, should have been more specific. Sorry. And, no, not all actors or all movies of today. Just many of them.
Ah, true talent having a great time. And a good oldie to boot!
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From a mad keen 74yo Aussie fan.
Couldn't be more entertaining Gene & Frank!
It's always the quiet ones
But she’s not quiet lol poor Susie
Gene's only nomination for the Best Actor Oscar.

GENE KELLY + FRANK SINATRA!
GREAT VIDEO! IT'S WONDERFUL TO SEE THESE TWO ICONS OF AMERICAN MUSIC IN THIS VIDEO! Thanks for posting it!
This entire movie is adorable. 😊
That's a creative way to say a girl is liberal with her sexuality.
they are saying that she is so beautiful and not quiet that every guy likes her

I used to have a thick huge actual soundtrack record that was some of the song's they sang in the movie as promo recording
