Gene was a MASTER at choreographing for his partners. Frank, the darling, was only capable of so much, so Gene thought up flashy, quick, but technically relatively simple numbers to accommodate him. Comparing this to the routines he put together with Donald O'Connor in Singin' in the Rain? Miles apart, but damn Frank looks good here, don't he?
Remember when people used to sing like this? I enjoy today's variety because it adds diversity but there is such a charm and skill when it came to singing from the 40's.
This ballroom converted to a dormitory is exactly how the Louisville Service Men's Club looked in 1954. I spent a few Saturday nights there rather than take the free bus back to Fort Knox at 8pm. For 25cents you got a cot for the night and a hot breakfast on Sunday Morning.
I was a weird little girl I loved Gene Kelly and Elvis to the amusement of my mother and grandmother, annoyance of my brother and straight hatred of the rest of the family...I stll love them😁
🎉 Rest in peace and birthday wishes to you, Gene Kelly 8 23 This man was the song and dance man. Every step in Hello Dolly was directed by him. He was married to Marty's girl Rest in Respect
Always have loved Gene Kelly even since I was a kid and watched Singing in the Rain at my grandparents’ house. He is very handsome, charismatic and one of my favorite dancers. But there’s definitely something to be said for Frank Sinatra’s cheekbones and jawline in the thumbnail tho!

God, it's so beautiful to watch Gene dance, his moves are smoooth
Sinatra is adorable in this movie 😍😍
Of course, Frank couldn’t dance like Kelly, but boy…what a voice. The best there ever was!
Rip Gene Kelly 1912-1996
Frank Sinatra 1915-1998
The other great duo of Kelly and Sinatra

I remember Robert Osborne talking about this scene & how Gene taught Frank how to dance.
Wow I haven't seen this one but I would love to see it especially on a rainy day
LostCinemaChannel ok thanks for letting me know! I'll definitely watch it 😄
Frank did a fantastic job. He’s not known for dancing.
I heard that he and Gene Kelly spent a lot of time practicing the moves
Oh those boys ....😁
Merci beaucoup from Paris France 👍 👍 👍
The Voice
by 1955 10 years after this Sinatra’s singing voice didn’t sound like that anymore
Ahh Frank and Gene, the two guys who always lied about kissing girls
?
@@Mr.Henry_25_26 It sort of makes sense in the context of the movie
This is a very young Frank Sinatra before his rat pack days
