Thank you for this...i truly appreciate this. It ha been quite difficult to read so much criticism about my voice and the way i have interpreted this cover, but i do respect peoples opinion and right to express opinion. I love what i do and i do it with my soul, there is always room for progress and learning and that's exactly what i intend to do. thanks for the support!

Every singer has their different way of singing a song. It's what makes it special. No one should sing it exactly like someone else did. I love Alisha's voice in this.

Yeah, gonna have to say no on her voice. She almost sounds like a good singer making fun of people who try to sing well. It is a lot overdone. Peter's voice is awesome, as usual. Stick with your wife though. She is awesome!

This is a song that requires softness and restraint. Peter really was perfect for it, but not her ... She has a very good voice no doubt, but her approach to the song was too theatrical ... Too bad, this could have been one, if not the best cover of this song...

I agree, but... Peter stands for the traditional origin of the song from Leonard Cohen (and calm covers like Rufus Wainwright) and she represents the more modern version from Alexandra Burke. All the songs change from cover to cover and we have to deal with it.

Pete, love your voice, as always. Alisha's voice is good, but the pop vocal styling she employs completely ruins her parts of this song for me. This song should be sung straight - no vocal catches, no emotion slides, none of that nonsense.

I love how they both sing! Their styles in each verse are a bit different, but they mesh well, in my opinion. The way she sings the second verse adds something to it, her own emotion to the lyrics, while Peter's has his emotion, just expressed differently. I've heard so many covers of this song, "modern-sounding" and "old-fashioned", and this one is a splendid mix of both.
I wish people would stop being so close-minded about the song and just appreciate the musical talent they both have.

loved the song, loved your voice...wanted to like Alisha, but that didn't happen. Her solo didn't really blend and she kinda over-enunciated. She was just a little too dramatic for the tone of the song or something.

This is just beautiful, and I adore the scenery.
I, actually, didn't like much any of this song's covers... and I love this song!! this girl is just trying too much to make it a little more modern, pop-y, hopefully you get what I mean... and the other girl was hitting notes too high that she bothered me.. Peter is amazing, though, anyways!! (I don't mean that the girls are not great singers, though, I just didn't like what they did with their voices in this song...:))

Strangely enough, the Kenya girl went too "American" with this. Showed lots of skin, overplayed a part meant to be simple, tried to sound like something she wasn't. Everyone these days tries to sound like they're on American Idol rather than just doing what Peter does and singing for the love of music.
