Please do more videos like this if you get the chance to. Yes there's a ton of insight when you train yourself or with mike, but you training with someone who doesn't necessarily train in your style is even more insightful. Thanks for all the knowledge man
This video was an absolute gem, great stuff Jared. Seeing people that aren’t used to this style of training ask questions, experience the style and get their forms better is always good to see, so you should do these type of vids more often.
I would like to see this also. Not just for channel growth but I think Jared is exactly what Nick Walker needs right now. I think he has to qualify for the Olympia again, maybe sooner than later?
GREAT VIDEO. The ques and insights are invaluable. I cannot state how great this video is. Cannot wait to hit my back tomorrow 😛. As always, thank you Jared for ALL you do. It is greatly appreciated.
My upper back literally exploded from doing ultra-deep incline row, trying to pull my scapula apart with light-ish weight and bringing it together, I really felt every muscle fiber once I did that and the gains followed, thanks to RP
I appreciate you showing how you coach someone to use the technique you're looking for. I'm sure if we ever trained together it would take a little bit of time to get everything moving correctly, not because I or other people are ego lifting idiots who don't want to listen to an IFBB pro with lots of coaching and training experience, but just because you have specific parameters for achieving high SFR.
Hands down one of Jared’s BEST videos. The thorough explanation and simplicity of how to properly execute the exercises was PRICELESS. Super dope video @JaredFeather
Great video. Love hearing other seasoned lifters give commentary on your science based tips and how they feel the movement and respond to it. Quality information.
The advice about the potentiation set right before the working set is so important imo. My body responds so much better using your advice with this. In the past ive experimented with potentiating by surpassing my workload for a few reps but found that the results diminish that way when i go back to my work set load. Some ppl this works great but not me. I prefer exactly the way u explained Jared for sure.
You're a good coach, Jared. Taking him to the seal row to improve his bent over row... Genius. Exactly what he needed to feel the upper back separation.
Great video! Been following RP for 3 years now and I’m still learning new shit from you guys all the time. Loving the progress and the progression. I truly believe that the mental focus and connection with your body this style of training requires prepared and helped me with my cancer battle that past summer. I’m now in remission and feel dialed in more than ever. Thank you Jared!
Hi Jared, Great video. I see you talking about explosive concentric which i do follow myself but at what point or how do you differentiate between explosive vs say like using body english/some kind of cheating on the concentric? Especially with heavier weights
I’ve spent months doing bb rows with 135 and squeezing/controlling the weight, and months doing the same amt of reps with 185 but not controlling the weight or squeezing. 185 worked so much better it was alarming. Bigger pump, more soreness, very noticeable gains. What’s ur take on that?
great stuff!! not gonna lie tho, I got mad because you keep telling him "gentle touch down there, I want tension on the bottom" and he still puts the bar down and makes a dead stop 😅 I was like : bro, yo!! LISTEN TO WHAT HE IS SAYING 😅🤣
@MattFlyFisher it's possible!! But I do think that you can do a gentle touch and bit losing tension even if you lack mobility !! It's just my opinion and I might be wrong tho 🤔
Jared if one of the guys who keeps it a buck and doesn’t sugarcoat things , have been following Jared’s techniques and now the people in my gym ask me how did I grow so much in short amount of time , I act like I invented these techniques 😂, keep going brother.
Damn Jared, This was really educational and well done, great cues. You surely are a great teacher and its awesome to see you spit knowledge and your passion for it all shows! Thank you1
jared have you ever had your magnesium tested? i notice in athletes they tend to develop alot of blinking / ticks and i always wonder if it could be an electrolyte thing (not saying yours isnt genetic.)
I still don't buy the arguments against the squeeze. It feels completely counter to my own instincts to not go both for complete stretch AND a controlled squeeze with a tiny paus at both ends, when possible
24:55. “Dumbest s**t ever” - I respectfully disagree, Jared. If it’s not for you, fine. But to assume it’ll lead to “a ton of injuries” and to call it dumb is a reach, imo. Might be quite advantageous for some, esp natural lifters. I’m still a loyal sub, just disagree w those assertions.

Chest supported incline row?
@BohumilRajchl Yep, the one from the RP youtube channel where Jared goes over the bench
"literally exploded" had me worried before I read the rest. That's cool though thinking of adding it to my own routine
Love these types of videos!!!
Awesome video! More of this please 🎉

Yes. But in his defense i truly believe it's just a major mobility issue. He looks so damn tight it's unreal!
@MattFlyFisher it's possible!! But I do think that you can do a gentle touch and bit losing tension even if you lack mobility !! It's just my opinion and I might be wrong tho 🤔
how about not touching, just stop 1cm above ground ? maybe even stand on a plate or some elevation to be able to stretch even more
@omarchenfouh4933 absolutely! I hear you for sure
26:30 5'10"?! Standing next to Mike all these years, I thought you were 6'4"
