Small channel for the moment.....your reviews are great and you cover a wide range of products that really assist in making a purchase. Keep up the good work....subs will rise!
your channel has almost 70k views & almost 19k Subs, put 19k people in a room and then tell me that's a small amount. SVS should be kissing your booty..... lol. Am looking at the SVS Micro 3000 or the KEF Kube 10"? Any Advice?
I really wanted the PB-4000 or the PB16-Ultras but when I reached out to SVS, they advised against it and insisted that I purchase the SB-2000 based on the dimensions of my room. I was blown away. Customer service is amazing. I'd definitely recommend reaching out to SVS before your purchase. I've never had a company that was more interested in making sure my purchase will have the most impact over selling the top model.
on yeah, they have a solid team over there, I'd go as far as saying they have one of the best customer service teams I've personally ever experienced. I've called a few times as a consumer and it felt like I was talking to an old friend about bass :)
I've had the SVS PB-1000 in the past and you are completely right when it comes to value for your money. SVS definitely makes a solid subwoofer that hammers with very clean sound. The blend in sonically as well! Keep up the good work with your reviews!
I picked a 2000 pro up and tried it out playing Edge Of Tomorrow a few minutes ago...it was shaking the place to the point where I really wouldn't want anything more powerful, and it earns the name pro while playing music. Thanks, your review helped me decide what sub would work for me.
the svs pb 2000 pro sounds like the subwoofer to choose with the dynamic power and bang for buck.i must say 500 rns power is massive. thanks for the fantastic review great coverage youve confirmed all details 😊
Did you see my REL review also? The REL 1205 and SVS SB2000 are very similar in spec. The cool thing is the REL is $100 cheaper but of course does not include the cell phone app. I'll also be reviewing the Rythmik L12 soon and then possibly a video comparing all 3 so if you can it might be good to wait for those videos :) If you want to know before or can't wait just email me. My email is listed in my about section.
@@NemoPropagandaMinus the cell phone app is the REL 1205 better than the SB2000 in your listening ear opinion?? My local BestBuy guys push the REL hard over the SVS brands and they are “not” on commission, but must be a motive some kind of way to push REL. I don’t know much about REL they don’t market their products as much as SVS.
Good review.. I was going for 2 2000’s but for $200 for 2 3000’s I couldn’t say no, I also picked up a host of items from this hifi shop in Alexandria Va. , I drove 2.5 hours to see these guys, they were willing to deal more than my local guy, they sucked. I also picked up my dream machine Marantz 7015, my front stage Focals 826 ,center and rears. I bought 3 pairs of SVS elevation for Atmos sound, Panamax 5400.. a great protection for my gear, Panasonic UB9000, Sony Oled 77 , I came out of pocket about &2,000 to get this stuff, my insurance handled a huge amount .I wanted to get what I wanted no short cuts. This came about because of lightning storm, I lost everything electronic in my house , the bright side is I upgraded massively. Can’t wait to hook this stuff up ! I’ll send pics of my theater. Subbed !
Great review. I'm a car audio guy through and through and have always gravitated towards sealed subs, especially JL Audio. I was not a fan of Klipsch ported subs such as the SPL series for home audio which I tried hard to like. Hard to configure with dsp. (Ported plus room gain nightmare) Just picked up 2 SB2000 pros and all the sudden brought me back to my car audio days... very clean subs and easy to calibrate with the built in DSP. If you have dirac, even easier! SVS SB series is kind of scary clean!
Had the B&W 610 sub for a month...switched over to the SB 2000 PRO.....the punch you get on the SVS woofer is fast, super crisp and does not muddy the highs and mids on my 603 Towers. Different bass profile - the SB 2000 PRO allows you enjoy the bass impact of a true HT experience while keeping the integrity of my B&W speakers hearing every nuance without the over bass hum . The SVS does not do that. Accuracy and realism in a soundtrack whether it be movies or music is so important in picking out the right woofer to match your LR and C speakers. Totally happy with the switch to the SB 2000 Pro. If you are an audiophile on a budget - do not go Klipsch or DEF Tech....invest in the B&W 600 line and this subwoofer. You’ll get the better HT experience. Trust me. I’ve done 2 months of testing and research on all 3 speakers. This is the perfect marriage for the most critical ear.
I actually love the 6 series subwoofers by B&W, they are tonally excellent for music but are way too low on power for theater use. I think i'd be extremely happy with two 610xp subs but at $1800 each it just doesn't make sense for me.
@@NemoPropaganda I’m not paying $1800 for B&W....grossly overpriced from a B&W fanboy. The reason why I went with the SB 2000 Pro because of your review....I’m glad I did it. Thanks....what a difference it made on my HT set up
Indeed they are very overpriced. I’m so happy i was able to help you come to a decision. That’s the whole reason i started this channel :). The 2000 Pro is a sub i think a lot of people will be happy with, it just does everything well.
@@NemoPropaganda Last winter I upgraded our system and didn't properly do my research. I wound up with a pair of B&W 603's, which are fine, but the ASW 610 just doesn't deliver any kind of kick and is extremely overpriced. I've been mostly looking at the Hsu VT-2 mk5 and the PB-2000, but your comments about sealed are interesting, and I'd also think about the Hsu ULS-15 if I were to go that way. It's going to be a mix, music for me and movies for my wife.
@@robertkrawitz8237 The 610 is good it just doesn't play very loud due to it's limited power :(. For a mixed system I will almost always recommend a sealed subwoofer unless you are looking for "fun" over accuracy in your music then a ported is okay too :). The SB-2000 Pro or REL HT-1205 would be a serious upgrade over the 610.
I ❤ SVS!!! My sound system consists of 6 SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers (2 for the mains, 2 for the side channels, and 2 for the rears), an SVS Ultra Center speaker, 4 SVS Prime Elevation speakers ceiling mounted for Dolby Atmos and 2 SVS SB-3000 Subwoofers. The system is powered by a Parasound Halo A52+ 5 channel amplifier and a Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A 11 channel AVR with dual AC Infinity AIRCOM T9's keeping them cool, and all are connected to a Panamax M5400-PM Power Conditioner. The output power of this Living Room home theater system is 2,800 watts R.M.S.
Love your subwoofer reviews, easily the best on youtube. I originally got the sb1000 pro on demo with plans to go dual but unfortunately i haven't got enough space for two so now i need 1 larger sub, im really tempted to go for the sb3000, the sb2000 looks nice but as the sb3000 is only £300 more im thinking it kind of makes sense to go with the 3000.
Thank's Harry. SVS subs scale very well, all 3 model shave the same general sound but each model up gives you more of it along with more low end extension and maximum output/control at the limit. The 3000 is a fantastic subwoofer but keep in mind if you use the grill the biggest difference is the 3000 uses the metal grill while the 2000 uses the more traditional fabric grill.
@@hclandscapes at lower volumes they sound very similar, at louder volumes of course the 3000 starts to strut its stuff with more low end extension, maximum output, and control at the limit. For low volume listeners like me with small rooms a 2000 is plenty but for larger rooms, those who like it louder, or simply anyone who just wants to be damn sure the sub can grow with them (in the event of other upgrades) the 3000 is an excellent choice.
Comparing subwoofers only by watts and size as well as price at 7:10 really made me want to quit the video... I thought " What about linearity, frequencies and uhm.... Quality???" But than you picked up all the missing parts and made a brilliant video. Thanks.
Nice Kinki Integrated Amp you got there. I have it also, I absolutely love it. Also have SB-3000 Subwoofer, another great bang for the buck like Kinki.
@@NemoPropaganda Im a dj/producer so I love the bass. lol. I actually own a ton of PA & was planning on using it in my home theater. Then I starting watching some videos & realized that was not a good idea 😂 .
@@Djtonydraper oh yeah, you don't want to do that, it'll play loud but not very deep or rumbly. Congrats on the 3000's, they're seriously capable of tons of output.
Thanks for your review! I got a special Black Friday deal where I ordered the SB2000 PRO piano gloss finish for 699 which was the same price as the lower model SB 1000 PRO so I just had to pull the trigger on the value, that's like 30% off! Looking forward to hearing how this bad boy performs in my 12x10x8 foot personal listening area!
@@NemoPropaganda it’s an open floor plan with the living room opening up to the kitchen so it’s not really a dedicated theater room. Actual seated viewing area is more like 15x15. The sub would be for music and some theater as well.
Hey man thanks for your previous replies on your other video. This is more for my future planning, but I have convinced myself in 6 months - 1 year to upgrade my PSW10 to the 1000 pro. The thing is I'm really split between the PB or SB. The PB here in Canada is 820 and the SB is 700. The PB is quite massive (not really a problem but maybe transporting it when I move to another city could be a problem). My speakers are vanatoo t-0, it's a pretty small 4inch speaker, which is perfect for me, sound darn amazing and I don't want to get anything bigger than this. I just recently moved my PC gaming rig to the basement so the room is bigger (used to be in my room which is much smaller), but I don't think it makes that much difference since I'm using them nearfield anyway (sitting right in front of the computer) so I don't care about it not having enough coverage for the size of the room. In terms of use, I use it a lot for music, youtube, some movie watching (which is amazing as I have an ultrawide monitor), and gaming. Gaming specificalyl, I'm kind of split between using a speaker for single player games and my beyerdynamic headphone for multiplayer. So yeah, PB 1000 pro or SB 1000 pro lol. Kind of leaning towards the SB but I'm just concerned that when I watch netflix series like Dark, stranger things, etc. it won't be as impactful. I'm not a speaker maniac so I won't be getting any speaker any more expensive or bigger than my vanatoo t0. Similarly once I get this SVS 1000, most likely I won't be upgrading to anything higher. Thank so much for your advice!
Personally I would not match up a speaker with 4" drivers to a ported 12" sub. I think the SB would match better but yes of course you will have more output from the PB. Since you have a mixed system SVS app will be super helpful since you can make 3 custom profiles. Between the two if it was me I would pick the SB and just accept that I won't have as much theater rumble but be happy because the sound overall would be more cohesive.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks so much for your input, yeah I'm leaning towards the SB as well. Lol the old 1000 series were 10" but the new ones are 12. On my local store, they have a sale for the old pb1000 for 60 dollars cheaper than the sb1000 pro, but I don't know, I feel like I will regret it later on for buying the older model. My only other local option is the paradigm V8 which is around my budget and of course it is 8".
@@raikozy35 Get the Pro 100% so you can have the cellphone app with the user customizable profiles, that's really helpful for mixed systems like yours.
Did you check that test track Put On with the Micro3000 before you returned it? Wondering if it was able to handle close to 20Hz at volume in that song? If yes, I realize the 2000Pro will perform better, but how close are they? At volumes under 85dB I really don't hear much difference between the Micro and the SB3000. I have gotten the Micro to bottom out, but I'm careful not to push it to its limit again. I'm concerned though, how do you know when a subwoofer is bottoming out because its very hard to hear that metal on metal sound masked by the music?
Well, we're all a little different with how sensitive we are to differences in sound. To my ears the difference is fairly noticeable. I've always felt the Micro extension spec was a smidgen exaggerated. The SB2000 pro had a much larger sense of scale, better extension, a sense of effortlessness to it that Micro cannot reproduce and more control & confidence at the limits of extension and output. As far as hearing the distortion or limits of any sub usually they just start to sound crappy, less dynamic, transient response suffers, etc... Those types of things generally tell you the sub is approaching its limits. Of course the slap sound of a VC bottoming out is also a sign but most modern subs have intilligent limiters built in that greatly reduce the likelyhood of that happening.
Thanks for the vid. For future reference, you can have some brolls of each subs you mentioned during the comparison. You can also cut in some soft music but very low where you can barely notice. Amazing how you did everything in 1 cut/roll. Tells me how much you prepped for this video.
Thank you for this excellent review. I was going to buy the SB 2000 Pro until you mentioned that the SB 3000 has a metal grill. I’m watching this review because my cats shredded my Velodyne Servo ( cry not, it was 30 years old). I do disagree with your philosophy of buying the most you can afford. I live in a small condo and an SB 16 Ultra would blow out my windows, tick off my neighbors and be both sonically and aesthetically difficult to integrate into my system. Thanks again for this and your other reviews.
Hey Ralph, glad you found it helpful. Definitely get the 3000, that metal grill is serious robust, kitties won't be able to do anything to it and since it's not fabric they shouldn't be tempted to go anywhere near it except perhaps to sit on top of it :) RIP old velodyne :(
SVS gives you more options and features with the cell phone app, Arendal gives you a bit of faster transient response. Both are very good, are they the same price in your region?
@@NemoPropaganda the arendal 1961 1s costs a little bit more than the svs sb 1000 pro but is a little cheaper than the svs sb 2000 pro then. But the 1723 1s are better then the svs sb 2000 pro then.?.
@@ulflarsson9693 if the sb2000 pro is more expensive than the 1961 1s then you should buy the 1961 1s. If you can afford the 17231s then of course that is even better. Both are very good.
The 1205 plays tighter, the SB2000 Pro has a stronger attack. That's the most noticeable difference, obviously 2000 pro cost $100 more but you also get that cell phone app so each one is very much worth it's asking price.
Hi. You know how you say if you are a movies person then get the biggest sub... And not look at sealed subs.. but then the slam is better with sealed subs.. the quickness of bullet shots etc... So then how do actual cinemas do it that gives us the deep bass and also slam for quickness.. So would the sb2000 not go deep enough for small-medium room? Will it do the slam.. but not like t-rex stomp with authority? Thanks for the info on your channel.
Actual cinemas use very large sealed subs which is why a lot of peopel looking to recreate that buy a pair of Rythmik F18 or other large sealed sub. The SB2000 Pro will do just fine for movies, as far as going deep enough, that depends on your personal taste. Some people will never be happy with a 12" sub, other people may feel a 12" sub is more than enough.
@@NemoPropaganda you're right in saying it's personal taste really and every room will behave differently.. I don't usually stay with the room correction settings and tweak it further.. I've got a pb1000 in a 2000sqft room, partially treated and is closed. So was wondering to go sb2000 and see if it gives me a bit more punch. I'm not sure how much deep end I will lose (or can we run a ob and sb as dual) .. or just go pb1000 pro which you favourably compare as well. Thanks
@@WireJetPlays mmm, are you unhappy with the PB1000? If that's not enough bass I don't think you will be happy with a sealed 12" either since a vented 10" and a seled 12" are similar in terms of bass quantity but will sound different of course with the sealed 12" generally sounding tighter.
@@NemoPropaganda happy with it.. just missing the punchy slams.. I may sacrifice a bit of low end for the punch.. depends how much goes away.. I'm a BMW person!
I think one way to look at the 2000 vs 3000 comparison would be to say that the 3000 does everything the 2000 can do, but with less effort. The usual car analogy is the 4-cylinder vs the 6-cylinder. That 4 banger can hang with the 6, but it has to work an order of magnitude harder to do the same thing. As a result, in the case of the subs, you can feel and hear the difference. How well the room loads, less of an edge on certain frequencies, so on and so forth. Great vid!
Kind of but the 2000 can hang with the 3000 to a point, as the frequency drops to sub 30hz the 3000 really starts to be on another level, same at the extremes of volume output and room loading. At lower volume the 3000 is still better with more defined edges and such but those differences are a bit smaller.
@@NemoPropaganda That's an interesting point, as I often listen to music at moderate levels late at night and into the wee hours. As to articulation (or bass note distinction as you call it), does the SB-2000 have an advantage due to being smaller, or are they similar in this respect?
@@LeonFleisherFan i didn't find the 2000-pro having any advantage over the 3000. I think it just comes down to how big is the room and how loud does someone enjoy their music/movies.
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you! I contacted Ed Mullen of SVS, and he says in a small room, and at a playback level below the dynamic limits of the SB-2000 Pro, the two subs will sound almost identical, as the higher dynamic output capability of the SB-3000 Pro would be untapped potential.
Have u ever reviewed the JL audio d110? If so, how do you think 2000 pro stacks up against it? Last question: would u recommend mixing two diff subs in a Room? Eg svs 2000 pro and JL audio. D110
I have not heard the D110. Mmmmm mixing two subs, okay so most people would say NO DON"T DO IT!! And I would say that's generally true. But, if the two subs have a similar enough sound it can be done. For example while they are different I did briefly and successfully use the Rythmik L12 and REL HT1205 together as pairs. Both subs integrate well and have excellent SQ so they played well together. The same was true when I used a pair of REL T5i together with the Rythmik F12SE, those 3 subs played well together also. I would generally recommend people use matching subs where possible otherwise it's a bit of a dice roll.
Definitely good questions! I've got the D110 on my short list as well. The acoustic data shows a slight dip at 55hz, which is what I dislike about my current SVS, compared to Rythmik and REL. However, hearing is believing, vs stats on paper. I use JL in my cars (while a different animal all together), I'm familiar with the brand and love it. When I bought my Dynaudio Excite towers I demoed them with a JL Fathom sub, which IIRC, still was the best thing I've ever heard (but way over my budget, hence the Dominion interest). My system is 50/50 HT/Music so I wish the Dominion came in a 12".
@@NemoPropaganda oooh I could see the Rythmik and REL playing well on a dual setup. The Rythmik with the slight edge in depth and upper mid smoothness, and the REL with the edge in that extra (yet with articulately refined) slam in the 50-60hz. .
Hi! How would you compare the SVS SB-2000 PRO with the Velodyne Impact MK2 12 or Sunfire XTED12? I am in doubt between these subs. I prefer Velodyne but I do not know how far the SVS and Sunfire are from the Velodyne. If they are in front, behind and how distant. Thanks for your comment! Luiz.
Velodyne is trash now, the Impact 12 mk2 only has 175w RMS which is a garbage power rating for a 12" subwoofer at that price. Sunfire is a stupid design in my opinion and for home theater only where space is severely limited. The SVS SB-2000 pro is the only one of the 3 I would consider as it will sound better and still have tons of output.
While the SB3000 will play louder than a single SB2000 Pro I don't think it will have the sense of scale as dual SB2000 Pro. If you want to replace your pair of SB2000 Pro I think at minimum you'd want something larger like a single PB2000 Pro or PB3000.
Great review as always. Your channel deserves more attention. I hope you can have a look at the new emotiva airmotiv se12, since you recently reviewed their 8 inch model
Sounds like you want a Rythmik F12. REL is all the way on the SQ side, SVS is all the way on the SPL side. That's not to say REL has not SPL or SVS has no SQ just each brand does their thing really well, total opposites. Rythmik is mostly on the SQ side but offers up more output for the money so its a pretty good inbetween for people stuck between REL and SVS. To answer your question though I would not mix an SQ sub with an SPL sub. I would mix different brand subs but they both have to be SQ or they both have to be SPL.
@@ele76119 oh yeah, totally forgot about that one, the Predator is also a really good mix of SQ and SPL also. I own the smaller HT1205 and I like it a lot.
I'd like to get my first subwoofer, The SB 2000 Pro is on sale at $699, but theres the RSL Speedwoofer at $450. I'm happy to pay the extra if the SVS is better. Which would you go with? I'm all about music, movies are a bonus.
better is such a broad statement, the SVS has a tremendous amount of features many subs don't have, if you find value in that it will be worth the extra, it's also better looking, maybe you find value in that, the list goes on :) Both subs are pretty darn capable, the RSL is more utilitarian in looks, you save money there. It's like options on a car, do you want the seat warmers? If you do you'll think the upcharge is worth it, if you don't you may prefer the lower model without the bells and whistles.
Thanks! I have a 2 channel system with Magnepan 1.7is that I use for music and home theatre equally. Music taste is classic and alt. rock and jazz. My integrated amp has pre -out. Trying to decide between a pair of the SB2000 pros, SB3000s, Rythmik F12se (s) or the Rel T9is. Looking for the best of both worlds. Love the app on the SVS models as I can switch the pre-sets for either watching movies or listening to music. I understand that the REL and Rythmik models mentioned here are mostly for music. However If I go SVS, would I be losing a lot of that integration, articulation and tonality or can they do it sufficiently? What do you recommend?
I have not paired subwoofers with Magnepans and as they are unique speakers I can't really speak from any personal experience. Since you are in-between a few subs maybe watch this video to help narrow it down: ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html
I have Arcam receiver. When I play stereo many times, my subwoofer doesn't come on. Its non svs. I tried to adjust nothing helped. What does this mean. Only if I increase the volume sometimes it gets activated. Some music its on right away. Do you think pro 1000 will have a feature which help
Hey Jack, so maybe your subwoofer is set to Auto? I don't know what you have but some subwoofers have option to be set to on/auto/off, if possible set it to On position. This should fix your problem. Aside from that it just sounds like the auto on function is not very sensitive. But to answer your question yes the SVS subwoofer can be left on permanently so you don't have to worry about it turning off or not turning back on.
@@mtjm indeed, always remember for 2 ch music there is such a thing as "too much subwoofer" but for theater there is no such thing lol but since this is 2ch you can definately save some bucks and get the right size opposed to extra headroom you'll never use.
Do you have any experience with the SVS wireless module? Have SB3000s in 3 rooms and love them, but I'm looking at the sb2000 for a formal area and will need to use the wireless module. Cross shopping the RSL 10 that has wireless received built in.
not the SVS one specifically but I made a video about wireless adapters, you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/KtHJYdxNmVI/видео.htmlsi=fgSdp3oZEWomNKmc
Good review 👍🏼 I love my SB2K’s. I’m hoping to get the SB2K pro in the future. I tried the PB2K and the SB4K and ultimately stayed with the SB2K’s. They just sounded better in my room. I’ve always loved how 2 12’s sealed sounded since my car audio install days when I was a big JL Audio fan. I had the 2 12 power wedge which sounded clean AF. I like to describe the sound of these SB2K’s as the same clean sound i got from the JL’s. SVS is hard to beat for the money.
Oh they definitely deliver on the value meter! I'm a big fan of car audio, I'm using a Memphis Mojo12 right now in a ported box, it's actually fairly quick!
i got tired of getting up to modify my sub settings as well so i run my sub-out to a JBL Nanopatch volume knob (which sits with me right at my listening position) then to my sub just for this reason. i'm sorry but every song is recorded, mixed & mastered differently and bass is a huge part of that dynamic so i HAVE TO HAVE the ability to change my sub volume accordingly and its usually, every song unless i'm playing an entire album. and movies?... a must have. this app to make changes should be standard on all subs. a nice touch. def looking at SVS for this feature.
barring major room issues you should be able to get most subs to play well enough to leave them alone for the most part but I get what you mean, accepting some songs simply don't have all that much bass helped me reduce my tinkering considerably.
Got klipsh rp600m pair for under 300. Looking at the iotavx intergrated...not sure it will pair well with the klipsh rp600m but... it has the proper price point to where ill have the extra cash for a sub like this. Not sure if I should wait till I can afford better gear but I feel like I need to jump on one of these now before they are gone. Does it seem silly to have the sub be the most expensive part of your system? I dont even know if all 3 will work well together. I just know my interests in everything is for music. Klipsch seems best for home theater. Just couldn't pass up the deal on the rp600s. Can I ask your thoughts?
Hey Backrack01, having a good subwoofer is never a bad thing but if you're looking to save some cash and don't mind losing the cellphone app the REL 1205 is a strong competitor in the 500w 12" category and does some things a little better, if you want to save even more cash the smaller HT 1003 might be right up your alley and should pair nicely to the RP600M. A system should be well matched and have great synergy but that can become an expensive quest. The iotaVX is a great amp and it has tone controls so you can always cater the sound a bit if it's not a perfect match. If i had the 600m I'd have no problem pairing it with the IotaVX and REL 1003, that's a great budget system in my opinion :)
Since you own also the SB3000, I have a question as to which would be better, a single SB3000 or a dual setup SB200 Pro? The prices here in Australia are about 70% higher. If I could get then at US prices, I would seriously be thinking about SB3000, so my possible alternative SB2000 Pro.
Hi nemo I have a small room 9m2 do you think two sb1000pro will perform the same as two sb2000? Ed mullen tells me that the pro is better than the sb2000 40/80hz and the sb2000 in low zone but the truth with the gain of room I must lower enough no?
I would simply choose based on room size. The two subs sound identical. 2000 just has more output and little more control when pushed to the limit. If the room is smaller 1000 should be great, if the room is bigger then 2000 may be needed.
@@NemoPropaganda Hi thanks for answering,my doubt comes because according to the measurements of the sb1000pro exceeds in +3db to the sb2000 of 40/80hz..that is twice as loud and with only 325w generates me quite a few doubts. I'm too old to study review and hope you forgive my lazy, many thanks 1000 ultra specs Amplifier: 2400 watts Dynamic / 1200 watts RMS. Tiny cabinet dimensions. An intuitive front panel interactive display. One button 7-band room bass correction. DSP digital control. Full feature remote control. 4 customized listening more presets. Night-mode.
If you mean Velodyne SPL-1000 Ultra, I'm not sure since I've never heard it but it's probably good enough to keep unless there is something about it you don't like.
Great channel! I have the SB3000 for my home and love it but need something lighter for portable use with a JBL MK2 battery operated PA. JBL can hit maybe 110db max. I play heavy electronic synth music and also full symphonic music at 100db+ in the home. Need something less than 40lbs. I don't need the handles of a live sub or the ruggedness just looking for max performance. This is not for gigging, just personal mobil use. As an audiophile I'm looking for the best SQ but need the most slam/attack for loud listening. This is for playing tracks only no live instruments. Here are my choices regardless of price: SVS SBMicro3000, SVS SB2000Pro which I read can hit 121dB at 30Hz, a Live sound sub- Bose Sub1 480 watts, 40Hz low end ,118RMS, or a Studio sub the RCF Ayra Pro 10 goes down to 30Hz, 120dB max, 300watts RMS. Very confused between home Hifi-Studio-or-Live sound subs if they have similar specs??
Live sound subs generally will not extend as low, they accomplish their high SPL output by tuning them to higher bass frequencies, some of the large 18" pro audio subs only extend down to about 40hz for example. Your weight limit and SPL requirement make your goal a bit of a challenge but I believe the SB1000 Pro is probably the smallest & lightest sub that can do over 110dB at 30hz but I'm guessing you already saw that and felt better safe to go with the 2000 Pro so you're not stressing it as much and to that I agree. The RSL Speedwoofer 10S may be another candidate also, I'd email them and ask about the SPL capability just to be sure but I'd imagine it would have not problem playing that loud and do it rather easily.
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks, I now know Live subs are tuned differently. Still don't understand the difference between a Studio sub and a home Hifi sub besides studio subs use XLR compared to RCA . RCF has a sub called the Ayra Pro 10. 300watts rms/600peak, 10", 30Hz, 120dB max for $450. Sounds like a bargain! Usually studio subs are more expensive - check out Focal, Adam or Genelec subs. The SVS SB2000 has similar specs except the amp power of the SVS SB2000 is 550watts/1,500peak,19Hz,121dB max at 30Hz. SVS has a 12" woofer. Both subs similar size/weight. SB2000 $900 ! What's the difference for double the price?? Happy New Year- gear hunting 2022!
@@WWeiss-nv5vz the difference is the extension, a sub falling off at 30hz would never be considered by most home theater enthusiasts and most people don't want a proaudio looking sub in their living room so looks are a difference also.
ahahaha hell yes! That intro gets dirty nasty low! Room placement will be key to get it cranking at that frequency though. Start with it in a corner if you can and move away from the corner as needed if the bass is too overpowering :). I had my SB2000 almost half way into the room on the front wall. Basically it was next to my component rack.
@@NemoPropaganda ordered it today via amazon opex box. (650.00) Im in a small studio apt. Corner placement is possible but ill need the adapter. What about right up front next to TV? Thnkx btw the bro. Blessings to u
@@chriscoleman9068 Thank you Chris, so every room is different personally I actually prefer off to the side of the TV which puts the subwoofer 1/3rd into the room on the front wall. For my room corner placement is too much bass and overloads the room but other guys might love that so you just have to try both and see what you like. And thank you bro may blessings be upon you as well!
Hi 👋🏼 I have dual PB-1000 pro and I’m thinking of adding a 3rd behind the couch 🛋 sub. A friend is selling his SVS SB-2000 Pro for $500 Would it blend with my other ported subs. Thanks As always great video. 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🍻
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you for the quick response.😁 🙏🏼✌🏼 I’ll be picking it tomorrow. Update from 3 months ago. I absolutely love my SB-2000 Pro and like you said I just had to adjust the phase. Thanks again for the advise. 🙂🔊👍🏼✌🏼
I listen to bass-heavy EDM and rap most of the time, and I'm torn between the PB-1000 Pro at $799 or the SB-2000 Pro at $899. The PB-2000 is just too big for my liking - the PB-1000 is already pushing it on size. Anyone have any thoughts?
Get the SB if you value a tighter & quicker sound. Get the PB if you value extension and strong bass in the sub 40hz region. Personally for that kind of music I think you will prefer PB1000 Pro. I have one here and I like it a lot with edm.
vented subs while larger will generally rumble harder (explosions) and have much more output dollar for dollar when compared to similar sealed models. Sealed models will generally be a little more tactile (tank fire).
@@NemoPropaganda so either or depending on what i prefer. Right now i have def tech towers with built in subs. Im pretty sure no matter what direction i go im gonna be happy!
@@mikeygrizz23 pretty much, any sub would be an upgrade versus not having a dedicated sub. Determine your budget & physical size limitations and go from there.
That depends on the room and what your goals are, I'd ask SVS since you're between two of their products. Room size and listening habits play a big factor also.
I was wondering if I should switch to 2 of these... Right now I am running 2 Dali E12F that are ported and they sometimes sound too "boomy" for the music I am listening to (Death Metal with really fast attacking double bass drums). Will a sealed cabinet be better for this? I used to have 1x B&W aswxp but that was not enough as I enjoy ripping my guts out with the bass drums. Will 2 of these subwoofers help me achieve a crisp controlled punch(es) better than ported subs (170w RMS)?? Interesting channel btw.
Hey Nazty, yes! You are totally on the right track. You're searching for more of that tactile bass that has a strong leading edge that kind of hits you harder. Ported subs are great for rumble but rarely have that tactile bass you're talking about. A pair of SB2000 will accomplish this and if you have a little more budget a pair of JL Audio D110 will give you even more of that and play even faster.
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you for the informative reply! The JL Audio looks nice...But I have always prefered 12" woofers so I will go for the SVS SB 2000 pro's I think. I am running these with a pair of Dali Opticon 8's with 2x8" in each so people always wonder why those are not enough, but as I said I like gut wrenching bass.

I'm not a huge fan of adding links in the chain so I'll never really talk about gear like that but it is cool that it exists as stuff like that or MiniDSP, high to low converters, etc... are a life saver for the people that really need them.
Hi Weiss, SB16 should outperform it :) but if you're looking for a different brand JL Audio is a natural upgrade path for SVS owners looking for more of that style of bass but with more overall performance so JL Audio E112 would be my recommendation. And no, I sold my SB3000 awhile ago.
@@NemoPropaganda I have never heard Rythmik subs in person but from your reviews it sounds like their higher models like E15HP2 or the G25 do SLP slam/punch as well as JL Audio or the higher models like the SVS SB16. Did I understand you correctly? Maybe you can do a video listing a tier/ summary of all the subs you have reviewed.
@@WWeiss-nv5vz if by punch & slam you're referring to their ability to extend low and play loud then yes absolutely they can. As far as a tier list it's just not really something I believe in. I don't think many people should be cross shopping those brands.
Hi there! Didn't knew you tested these bad boys 2! I still think I lean towards the Arendal 1961 1s 2x. But they don't have an app. My room is 4.5m x 9,4m x 2.8m with open kitchen. I'm about 4 meters away from the subs. Which one do you think will be better for me? Movies/music is 70/30 or 60/40. I like to get 2 subs to get a more even sound with the bass. I like it sealed because I don't have space for huge subs. The Arendal 1961 1s or is the Arendal 1723 1s so much better? Or should I go for the SVS SB3000 pro? Thanks in advanced and keep up the good work!
@@NemoPropaganda thnx for the fast respond. And last question is it one time adjustment or is the app so much easier and do you think it is a must? I have a Denon 4500h receiver. I could change my settings at the receiver as well. Have a nice weekend buddy!

@@TheDabbinDave Ah I see, well personally I don't use REW and just filmed a video on how I setup subwoofers so maybe this will help you feel more comfortable with SVS ruclips.net/video/aZbzvanu3vA/видео.html I wouldn't buy a sub based on auto calibration, that's more of an "oh that's cool" situation and not a make it or break it option. The SVS 1000/2000 are fantastic and SVS themselves are always more than happy to chat on the phone to help you get it dialed in. Elac makes some great products also but I have not heard their subwoofers so I can't comment beyond that :).
I'm not sure since i haven't heard one but i would imagine it's fairly close as they are similar in terms of spec. On paper the SVS has more grunt around 20hz but it's anyones guess what the real world experience will be like.
I just got the REL HT 1205 in for review. Lmk if you have any questions. For movies the REL has more low end but it’s sound is very... mmm compressed i suppose. It’s a bit hard to describe as i’ve only has it for 2 days.

Yup - I know, kind of an odd comparison to ask - kind of apples and oranges - but hey, those are two possible routes I'm considering for an upgrade. My room is 20L x 13W x 9H and on one side, half of it is open out to another room. I'm moderate volume HT listening. I should add that a pet peeve of mine in one-notey, sloppy subs. Thank you!

Hello Nemo, I'm in the market for a new subwoofer. I have small home theater room ,mainly used for movies. I currently have a Klipsch ported sub. I went to a local REL dealer in my area last week and man, I heard the REL HT/1508 and HT/1205 and I was impressed how tight the bass was. It has serious fast better bass that blend well that I could not hear before, especially like gun shots. The Klipsch sub has just rumble effect bass in my opinion now. Unfortunately, there is no close SVS dealer to me, so I can't experience the SVS subs and can't tell the difference between SVS SB2000 pro and the REL HT/1205 or HT/1508. Since you heard both of these, In your opinion which is better for 80% Home theater use, and 20% music use. Thank you.
Great video ty! Can the SB 2000 or 3000 be plugged into my JBL Boombox’s Aux port to play in sync or was that classified under your remark about needing to go with the 1000? Ty!
if your aux port is a 3.5mm output and you use a 3.5mm to RCA adapter then yes it will work but this is extremely important: it must be an output and volume of the sub may or may not adjust with volume of the boombox but if you adjust the volume from your phone then it might adjust all together.
@@NemoPropaganda Thank you! Excited to test the SVS SB 3000 in my DIY camper box van conversion with the JBL Boombox 2. I've got full 120v and 240v electrics so I'm opting to try out some home theatre equipment vs pure car audio. Thanks again for the quick response!
@@thirdeyesamuel886 sounds fun! I hope you have a blast but if it's going to be mobile wouldn't you want a smaller sub for all the various reasons like less power draw, lighter weight, easier to move around, etc...
@@NemoPropaganda Excellent reasons to go smaller indeed! However this is no ordinary van =D. I've built in a 900W Solar Array with an 8kWh Nissan Leaf electric vehicle battery system with a 3kW (5kW Peak for 10 min) Victron Inverter. This thing runs a 240V Minisplit A/C all day. I really want the "mini/portable festival vibes" so I am trying to find the biggest sub I can practically fit under our bed storage area along with our other adventure gear. The SVS SB 3000 seems to fit the bill. I bought it with the intention of testing it and returning it for another if it doesn't work out. The box van has a 1 piece aerodynamic fiberglass box on the back of it and it has some really interesting resonance already with our JBL Boombox 2 so I am excited to see how much it can take. One of our ideal situations will be to open up our vans commercial roll up door in the back and play music from there, it might really help to amplify the sound and give it some direction, which would be great! Anyway, I appreciate your time to follow up so I figured I'd break things down more. You could see some exterior shots of our van @thirdeyesamuel on IG. The IG is mostly used for business but there are some photos up there. Enjoy the day!
Thank you for the great video. Please give me your opinion. I am about to place and order for one of the SVS subs but cannot make up my mind. I have a 5mx5mx3m ceiling room...mostly listen to music but a movie here and there. I want deep low bass that I can feel. I am currently looking at the PB1000Pro or the SB2000Pro. I am not too sure if I should go for ported 1000pro or sealed 2000pro? Your opinion will be greatly appreciated.
that's a tough call, the PB1000 is larger and will offer up more output while the SB2000 is smaller and will have less output but a tigther sound. Both subs will give you deep & full bass, since it's a mostly music system I suggest a pair of SB1000 Pro if you can :). If not then the single SB2000 Pro.
@@NemoPropaganda thank you... I have now decided to spend a bit a more... So choices now are between SB2000PRO AND PB2000PRO... Leaning towards PB. What do you think?
Your channel won't be small for long. Good review. Nice and thorough. I did think that you could have slipped in the term "fiddle-fuck" when you described the adjusting of the subwoofer levels. :-)
Hello, the question is that I have a room of about 30 square meters and I want to use it for both music and home cinema Which one do you advise how many watts do I need to fill the room? i am interested in the svs sb1000 but i dont know if it will be a good choice.Thank you very much for your work
1000 might be too small, that's a good size room. It might be okay for music but cinema won't be as good. But it also depends how loud you like it. Have you emailed SVS to see what they recommend?
What would you guys do? I have a chance to purchase two used PB 2000s (2 years old) for 900$, or get a second PB1000 to pair with one of the same, buy a Single PB3000, or either a pair or SB2000 pros, or a Pair of SB3000s? I could possibly do a pair of PB2000 pros too....I mainly watch movies and TV, but also listen to a wide variety of Music from Hip hop, Mexican music, Sam Cook, Zap and Rodger, Southern Rock, 70s Rock...
That's hard to answer as those are different prices, a pair of SB3000 for example would be $2000 while the used PB2000s are $900. I would establish a budget first but if you're comfortable spending any amount the pair of SB3000 is great but you will have more low end output with dual PB2000 so it really depends on what you're looking for and if you want sealed or ported. If theater is your primary focus the dual PB2000 would be ideal
wildly different subwoofers. REL is an SQ subwoofer, SVS is an SPL subwoofer. Both are amazing, but you need to know which customer you are, I recommend watching my REL vs SVS video to help you identify which camp you fit in better.
Ok o had seen it and great it was btw! I think I have decided on the rel t9, however one more question for your experience ear, how do you feel the rel t9 dealt with your test track by young jeezy? 🙏🏼
@@NemoPropaganda strange I found the low note ruined the music on that track, on the t9x, it seemed to fart like it was blown on that one low note at the bottom of the range 😣
Thank you sir!! I know, i thought about bugging them for a review sample but i feel like at the $499 price it's better for people to just try it out since they have a 45-day in home trial. Usually subs below $500 have to compromise somewhere so it's all about choosing which compromise you want. Most compromise low end output for maximum volume. The SB-1000 I'm guessing is more balanced though.
Problem with SVS now is prices in europe. 1150 eur for the SB2000 pro. 750 eur for the SB1000 pro. Crazy prices knowing than they are 699 and 499 usd in the US.
no, those two subwoofers are $599 and $899 respectively. But everyone gets some version of this. Americans pay a premium for EU speaker brands. Focal Aria in EU is like $1k or less, in USA it is $2400, Triangle Comete 40th is like $1.5k in france it is $2.5k in USA, this is very common. The region where the company is headquartered usually has the best price. Not always, but usually.
@ Yeah… it just hurts paying up the extra compared to HQ country… Still, I don’t see anything else in the EU market to compete with SVS, even at those prices… few things from KEF maybe, but a mini DSP is a must with any other sub (adding 300 eur to it), and this is not needed with the SVS pros…
@@Maroto21 I don't think that's true, I don't own a mini dsp or use any dsp and I have had over 50 subwoofers in my room all setup perfectly. Of course some people may prefer to use DSP to setup a subwoofer and that is totally okay but it is not mandatory unless the room has some major problems or you're forced to put the subwoofer in a really bad position. There are other subs too that offer multiple PEQ profiles though they are a little more expensive like Arendal 1723 1S or Sigberg 10D. Either way SVS makes a good sub and the EU price is not that crazy. In some regions they are double! I talked to a guy in Brazil a long time ago and he said SB2000 Pro was over $2k and there was no warranty. I don't know if it's still like that over there, this was maybe 3 years ago. And then their are countries like India where there is something like +70% tax on consumer electronics. Comapred to them my bro you and I are both very lucky to only pay slightly higher prices :) Don't let it bother you.
@ Thank you sir !! In my experience you have to be lucky not to have painful dips in a room so that not even 1-band PEQ is needed, thus my comment RE the need of a dsp. 800+ EUR is not negligible amount of money, therefore not having a mini dsp or any sort of way of eqing a bit means it is very likely not to enjoy the hardware at its full potential just because if a couple of room modes/location related dips. At the 1149 EUR price, would you consider other options instead of the sb2000 pro? I honestly don’t see any (in europe). Thanks !!
My main issue is more between the sealed and ported version. 2000 is about the right size for me. But ported versus sealed? That's more up in the air. And the PB-3000 has tuning for running in sealed mode. And then there's the size. My SB-1000 is tiny, and I really dig it. So really, I'm pretty much down to selling my SB-1000 and getting a 2000 pro model, but not sure which. I'm guessing I'll be OK with the sealed version, I do enjoy movies, but I'm no where near to having a home theater setup anyway. Small tiny cube, maybe a second one later, sounds good to me.
Ported is going to have way more output and will have less of a leading edge to it's sound, this leads to what a lot of people describe as "slow" or "sloppy" sounding bass. Everyone has their preference though, if you've never had a ported subwoofer in your room I'd say try it and see how you like it. The low end is significantly stronger than an equivalent sealed model. The size of course is another consideration. If you're coming from an SB-1000 the reality is anything you're considering is an upgrade so I think you'll be happy no matter what :)

3000 not. I am also interested in white 3000 and sent mail to SVS. They answered a couple,of weeks ago that at the moment the white color for 3.000 is not option neither any info when will be. Said
I reviewed the PB1000 Pro and I used to own the PC2000 so I already know what it sounds like. Just look at my PB1000 Pro video and thats how the PB2000 sounds just louder :)
Sadly it is little more expensive here compared to US prices. I’m debating between this and Klipsch 12” or 15” to use with Klipsch Fives. I like fact that SVS is a lot more compact in size and you have the phone app to control it.
Any experience with HSU Research's 15" sealed sub? Priced similarly to the sb 2000 pro, and I've seen it reviewed favorably. I'm going sealed to keep my wife happy, and I want as much clean subterranean bass as possible out of a small box! The only ported sub I've looked at is the RSL speedwoofer because of its diminutive stature (for a vented enclosure).
Hi Luke, I've not heard the Hsu and my email to them regarding a sample went unanswered so I'm not sure I'll have one here which is a shame because like you i was very curious about it. On paper it looks perfect but impressions from real world owners has been mixed. On the other hand RSL will be sending me a speedwoofer around January and I currently have the Rythmik L12 here on loan from a friend. If you've seen my review of the B&W ASW608 (i loved it) the Rythmik L12 is like a larger more powerful version and among the smallest 12" sealed subwoofers i have come across. At reasonable listening volumes it's SQ is very impressive and low end ouput is among the best I've heard for it's size/price if you set it to HT mode. If Rythmik is an option for you it's priced well too! It's not as pretty as the SVS SB2000 nor as tight as the REL 1205 but it's cheaper than both and damn good in it's own right.
Hello Nemo, i hope you are fine and thanks for your interesting review. I would like to have your advices concerning my subwoofer selection. My set up: Speakers: Dynaudio special forty AMP: Advance paris Myconnect 150 My usage: Mostly music but i will use it also for movies and video games but the priority is really the music support as main usage. My room is : 24m square meter (6x4) / 72m cube meter (6x4x3). The distance between the listeners and the speakers / subwoofer is 2m50. This room is opened to another 20 square meter I'm hesitating between SVS SB-2000 pro or SVS SB-1000 pro according my room size. What do you think? According my usage and my set up do you advice another subwoofer brand / model?
Hi Theo, the cool thing about SVS is they are very popular so you should be able to demo one but I think for your room size either one should be okay but SB2000 will be the safe option as it will have more power for theater. As far as other sub brands & models there are many 12" options around this price but I mostly recommend SB1000 pro, SB2000 pro, Arendal 1961 1S, REL HT1205, or Rythmik L12 (usa only).
Good honest review. Like ur frank style. Question on the speaker level input on the 1000pro. Would that have better response/speed than the 2000pro? I have a 2500cft room volume and think the 2x 2000pro would be good. But would 2x1000pro be good enough w speaker level input from an anthem av70? Assuming the sealed models
Speaker level inputs are an inferior setup solution and should not be used unless you're in one of two circumstances: 1. It is your only option or 2. You have a REL subwoofer.
@@NemoPropaganda i c. that’s the comparison HT1205 vs svs 2000pro Both 12” drivers (tie) 500w vs 550w (svs) 22 hz vs 19-240 Hz (svs) 38lbs vs 38.6 lbs (tie) Line level input vs rca (rel) No app vs mobile app (svs) So it ultimately boils down to if you are system is predominantly for music or a balanced movie/music. I think I answered my own question about sticking w svs. Now the question is should I spend the extra money to go w 2xsvs sb3000 or stick with 2x sb2000pro and spend the savings on another part of the HT setup Choice choices
@@xtctaz Line level is the same as RCA, if you mean high-level inputs neither sub has that nor does it matter as it's generally an inferior option. Both subs are great, they just sound a little different which you can see here: ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html. To answer your questions I would keep the SB-2000 pro pair you have and use the money for something else as the jump to SB-3000 isn't that big, you'll get more at the extremes but unless you are maxing out what you currently have I'd spend the money elsewhere or save towards a more insane subwoofer setup like dual SB16 or dual F18.
Awesome review bro .. i just got the sb 2000 pro primarily for music and i am going dual soon .. should i stick with dual sb 2000 pro or go with dual sb 3000 ?
Depends how big your room is and how loud you like it. the 2000 and 3000 have a very similar sound so the real difference is output and extension at the limits.
Thanks for the reply oh and i also just subscribed to your channel :) my room is around 20×20 feet.. will the bass sound different more cleaner on the sb 3000 than that of the sb 2000 pro ? I dont crank it up much maximum -15db. Its more of a better overall sound quality rather than power i am after
@@BrandonAttarDbran since you're shopping within the same brand I would just ask SVS but in my experience the 2000 pro and 3000 are equal in terms of SQ unless you are pushing the 2000-pro beyond it's limits.
@@BrandonAttarDbran I reached out to SVS with this question in the past as well. They recommended the SB-2000 Pro for my mid size living room for mixed music/theater use, and to eventually go dual (I appreciated them not trying to upsell me just cause they can). I haven't actually upgraded my Theater sub yet, which is the old school predecessor to the SB-2000, so I can't comment on what I bought and how it worked out.
I’d love to get your opinion on my dilemma. I have a pc-2000 and I wanted to upgrade it. It will cost me $100 to upgrade to the sb2000pro or $300 to upgrade to the sb3000. What are your thoughts on what to expect from stepping up from pc2000?
I actually owned the PC-2000 and upgraded to the SB-3000 and filmed a review about it. The SB-3000 is quicker, more well defined, more bass detail, and has incredible output but it's ultra low end like below 30hz is not as good as the PC-2000 of course and i still miss that :(. But there is no perfect subwoofer really, not around this price point at least. The sb3000 really does have great low end output though, it just can't match a ported model which is normal.
@@NemoPropaganda hi there. Great video! My entry level SVS PC 12 NDS is dead! and I want to get a new SVS sub...of course I like the PC2000 pro but I also like the SVS SB2000 in white! and I like the SVS SB3000... I mostly watch movies and I run a 5.2.4 atmos system in a medium size room. I don't play it too loud but I like feeling well defined bass/LFE (but I can't break windows or anything....as per my wife's orders!)...which one from the list would be the best option...? My PC 12 went as low as 22HZ maybe...so I want something better...thanks so much!
@@TheFandangovideoguy Hey brother sorry to hear the NSD is dead but it sounds like it served you well. So I'm going to guess your budget is $1100 and below so in terms of super low frequencies the PC-2000 pro has more output than either sb2000 or sb3000 so the PC-2000 pro would be the most obvious upgrade path as the new model has 150w more and extends to 17hz. I would also strongly consider the Rythmik FVX12 as it comes in white and I have owned 3 rythmik subwoofers now and have been very pleased with them so far. The FVX12 extends to 18hz but at a much stricter measurement of only -2db. I think you will be happy with either option.

I liked the SB2000 in white for sure but I will try to get the PC2000pro...even if it takes a few weeks...argh...first world problems! I will look at the other options you listed. @@TheFandangovideoguy Indeed there is. I loved my PC-2000 when I had it, it's low end is seriously impressive and it certainly was a conversation piece, unfortunately I moved and the new listening room was much narrower and the tall cylinder just didn't look right.
u should get a rel and compare it with this side by side. heard a lot of comment on rel about their tight speed and power. but how is it different to each other?...looking forward for you review on it.
I will in like 2-3 weeks. I have a REL being loaned to me from a friend :) it is certainly much tighter but it’s also a different sound all together compared to SVS and much more expensive. Like a SB3000 is 800w at $999 while that much power from REL is available in the S/812 that is a $3000 subwoofer so triple the price.
Small channel for the moment.....your reviews are great and you cover a wide range of products that really assist in making a purchase. Keep up the good work....subs will rise!
I appreciate that!
your channel has almost 70k views & almost 19k Subs, put 19k people in a room and then tell me that's a small amount.

SVS SB series is kind of scary clean!
nice dude me too! stay tuned then, I have a few JL Audio home subwoofer reviews coming soon :D

@@NemoPropaganda so apart from the grill styling there's not much between the sb2000 pro and sb3000?
@@hclandscapes at lower volumes they sound very similar, at louder volumes of course the 3000 starts to strut its stuff with more low end extension, maximum output, and control at the limit.

Thank’s dude! Newer vids have the brolls. Well they’re pictures. You can see it any of my recent ones like the 1000 pro.

@NemoPropaganda Oh, Okay. Thanks...
@@LeonFleisherFan That is very inline with the experience I had when I reviewed the 2000-pro and I strongly agree with what he's saying.
Great reviews man. You deserve more subscribers..
Thank you brother.
Wondering if one SB3000 would help serve the need for not having two SB2000 Pro’s?
While the SB3000 will play louder than a single SB2000 Pro I don't think it will have the sense of scale as dual SB2000 Pro. If you want to replace your pair of SB2000 Pro I think at minimum you'd want something larger like a single PB2000 Pro or PB3000.
Great review as always. Your channel deserves more attention.
I hope you can have a look at the new emotiva airmotiv se12, since you recently reviewed their 8 inch model
Thank you for the kind words. Good news! An SE12 will be landing at my front door in a few days :)
Say bro do you thinks the Rel Ti9 and this sub would be ok to combine? I'm looking at the Rel more for Music and the Svs for movies
@@NemoPropaganda do the predator give that bass I want?

Hey Nemo do you think this sub will be overkill in a 2.1 setup with Kef q150s?
Hey Jam, yes it will be a bit overkill, I would say the SB-1000 Pro is more of a match for what the Q150 are capable of unless your room is big.

Easy choice brother. Dual SB-2000 pro will strongly outperform a single SB3000.

Hey Nazty, yes! You are totally on the right track. You're searching for more of that tactile bass that has a strong leading edge that kind of hits you harder. Ported subs are great for rumble but rarely have that tactile bass you're talking about.
Hi how would this compare to
Rel HT 1205 for movie watching.
Great review, thanks! Love your channel! Can I ask what your thoughts would be on a comparison between the Rel HT 1003 MKll and the SVS SB 3000. Thank you!

Hello Nemo,
I'm in the market for a new subwoofer. Thank you.
Hi M7, I made a video about that: ruclips.net/video/rEz03XkcslI/видео.html

Too bad u don’t have a sb-1000 review 😊

@ Yeah… it just hurts paying up the extra compared to HQ country…
Still, I don’t see anything else in the EU market to compete with SVS, even at those prices… few things from KEF maybe, but a mini DSP is a must with any other sub (adding 300 eur to it), and this is not needed with the SVS pros…
Thanks !!
@@Maroto21 I hear ya! $1k is a good chunk of cash. What are your other options and price points for those options?

Oh man that’s a tough one. $250 is a great price as is the $500. I think you have to decide how much you want to spend and thats that. Because you always add another couple hundred bucks for something better. I like a deal, and i don’t know your financial situation but man i love a good deal. Sorry i couldn’t give a more definitive answer. The 2000 pro is a higher model so it’s better of course but what were really talking about here is do you want to spend $250 or $500 because the deftech will be good too.

Sadly it is little more expensive here compared to US prices. I’m debating between this and Klipsch 12” or 15” to use with Klipsch Fives. I like fact that SVS is a lot more compact in size and you have the phone app to control it.
most klipsch subs are ported so they will be larger for sure :)
It's not as pretty as the SVS SB2000 nor as tight as the REL 1205 but it's cheaper than both and damn good in it's own right.
oh yes, the REL HT 1003 is also a nice small option you might like!

I'm hesitating between SVS SB-2000 pro or SVS SB-1000 pro according my room size.

I will answer this question in a video i will post on January 25th.
@@NemoPropaganda i c. that’s the comparison
HT1205 vs svs 2000pro
Both 12” drivers (tie)
500w vs 550w (svs)
22 hz vs 19-240 Hz (svs)
38lbs vs 38.6 lbs (tie)
Line level input vs rca (rel)
No app vs mobile app (svs)
So it ultimately boils down to if you are system is predominantly for music or a balanced movie/music.
I think I answered my own question about sticking w svs. Now the question is should I spend the extra money to go w 2xsvs sb3000 or stick with 2x sb2000pro and spend the savings on another part of the HT setup

@@BrandonAttarDbran I reached out to SVS with this question in the past as well.

@@NemoPropaganda thanks man! I'm in Canada and that PC-12 NSD was fantastic for me for 7 years. No complaints whatsover- I like the shape and the output of the cylinder subs...unique look and good conversation starters for sure...I'm trying to get a PC 2000pro here in Canada and it may take a few weeks...nothing is normal these days-no reason to fret over a slight delay but I wanted to double check that my idea of the PC 2000pro was the best fit for my needs.I would make a fancy cover for the PC2000 pro to make it more interesting! Black is great but some splash of colour/pattern can be manly too! I liked the SB2000 in white for sure but I will try to get the PC2000pro...even if it takes a few weeks...argh...first world problems! I will look at the other options you listed. Rythmik may be hard to get here in Canada. Thanks for your honest opinion and willingness to share your knowledge-not everyone can or want the top of the line products...there is a subwoofer for each one of us! I
@@TheFandangovideoguy Indeed there is. I loved my PC-2000 when I had it, it's low end is seriously impressive and it certainly was a conversation piece, unfortunately I moved and the new listening room was much narrower and the tall cylinder just didn't look right.
hey dude I reed youre coment on Briana's video and glad you enjoy the game and her work ;)
Thank you bro!!
u should get a rel and compare it with this side by side. heard a lot of comment on rel about their tight speed and power. but how is it different to each other?...looking forward for you review on it.
